BB-63 Midship and aft funnel

This is the seventh installment in my build series of the BB-63 USS Missouri - "Mighty Mo". In this video I am addressing the midship and aft funnel. Assembling the different subassemblies before attaching them to the superstructure.
The build is based on the 1/350 scale Hobbyboss 86516 kit with detail up sets from Pontos.

Thank you Anthony! I hope that I can show that it isn't that difficult. I often read and hear that people try to avoid it, but it brings so much realism to a model.

Kenneth, some very excellent work on the small PE sub-assemblies. The aft superstructure / funnel assembly is looking exceptionally realistic (every bit as much as the forward superstructure). Looking forward to the next video in this build.

Nice work Kenneth! Reminds me of , I think it was a Revell USS Missouri kit , I built, as a young boy back in the early 60s . Can’t remember the scale but I remember it was big for me at that time 😉

Thank you Frank! I know what you mean. I found a model I built as a kid a couple of years ago, remembering that is was huge (the Bismarck), but it was probably 1/500 scale. One of those odd scales Revell did back then.

Hello, 'Norwegian Modelling Bench'... I JUST started 'Subbing' your channel and seeing this model build LOOKS Really Good!!! But question.... I see that you use 'Pontos' PE on the 'Hobby Boss' kit............ 1st, I did not know that 'H B' Made a MISSOURI, so my question is....does this 'Pontos' PE work on a 'Tamiya' kit??

Welcome to my channel! Thank you for the compliment. Hobbyboss release their first version of this kit in 2022. Pontos released their detail up set late 2022, which is made specifically for the HB kit. If you have the Tamiya Missouri kit, you need to use Pontos 35011F1 instead.

@@NorwegianModellingBench Ahhh... Thank You for that information. I JUST saw the site, but unfortunately, it for a "modern" MISSOURI.... I Also noticed that there is no PE, at least from 'Pontos', that there is no WW2 fit, Unless...I get a 1/200 scale ( YIKES!! ). I continue looking at your build and see what you do.
