BC Ferry Trip from Tsawwassen to Nanaimo 

I love the idea of taking the ferry. I am currently living in Calgary in -26 weather and I will be coming to Victoria in May. I can't wait! I love watching videos regards in the ferries. It gets me in the mood for the west coast. Great video.

I live in Tsawwassen and we folks never go beyond 90 km/hr on Highway 17 (Tsawwassen causeway). Please be more considerate.

For gods sake its titled "memories" givin the context of the comment, form back in the 70s. There aren't any residential areas on the causway, and I'm sure whoever was driving had common sense. I'm sure buddy who wrote the comment is not going to put anyone life in danger in the future.

I got two nuts flyings down sunshine coast highway at nearly 180km/h and ends up waiting for the next one. I was riding my bicycle down fast enough at 80 and they went even further We end up talking for two hours instead and that was quite a nice chat. .

Yup, they've gotten bigger and more deluxe over the years, price too. :)

the coho is still running, i dont know what was updated to it, but my dad has been on that ferry in the 90's and got seasick, bc ferries were smooth for me

The ferry over to Victoria is beautiful as it goes though the Gulf Islands

It was closed on this sailing, guess not enough passengers or crew. They have several sections shutdown.

Cool. Good upgrade with the sink, it's on my list. Haven't been able to find one I like yet that fits, likely will have better luck in the states. Yeah, we head south in early November. Cheers! Ray

Love Your RV Thanks, My current plastic kitchen sink says Kinro 25×19 on the underside sticker. I called them and of course they don't give us the stainless steel version option which is so typical of the RV companies. I haven't yet taken out the plastic sink but I'm pretty certain the counter cut out size is 23×18 inches. When my stainless steel drop in sink from Magnus Sinks I found on Amazon arrives I'll try see if it fits. Otherwise I'll just trim back the counter a little. It may put my new Moen Gooseneck pull out sprayer faucet a bit close to the wall window but it's fine. Benefits of a two inch deeper ( 8 inch deep), slightly larger sink in steel far outweigh that. Another upgrade I'm very disappointed I don't think can happen is my two Ventline 14×14 roof vents. I want to replace the non see through blue ones with 100% clear. I called Ventline and they said they only make the dark smoke and white non see through replacement. To me this is rediculos. We need more options available. It's so dark in many RVs as it is. And I really love being able to see the sky as well as have more light. One can always rig up a curtain or shade if they need to block the light. Clear roof vents certainly don't present privacy issues. I had the same trouble replacing my solid white non see through non opening entry door window. Finally found something I'm real happy with. The window is called the Edwin. Bottom half slides up to open. Has the same 30% tint as all my other windows, so it matches and looks so so so much better than the typical unsightly standard white bathroom shower door marbled type non opening window. Yeah, I know, BC ferries does that because in the Indigenous language they often have silent T on words but in reality most people in BC say the T. Kind of like how the S is silent in the French city Paris but most English speakers say it.

Reverse your clocks to yesteryear. Black Ball ran the former US ferries Kahloke and Chinook between HSB and DPB before BC took over their services. BB also served Saltery Bay, Langdale, and Bowen Island before the purchase by BCF. Canadian Pacific ran Princess liners between downtown Vancouver and downtown Nanaimo. Victoria, Port Angeles, Seattle, and Alaska were served by CP as well.

Love Your RV Ah, there it is, at 6:38. To me, that amount of money is way out of limits. BC Ferries should not be charging anybody more than $30 to get on a sailing from Metro Vancouver to the Island.

Super Jello I live on the Island, and I've been on it quite a few times in the past. But that was before the fares were so ridiculously expensive.

denelson83 Thirty dollars? How did you come up with that number? Even at the price they charge the ferry corporation loses money and needs over $100 million of taxpayer subsidies every year. If they dropped the price to $30, imagine what the subsidy would have to be.
