it is completely insane that a demographic that is in reality probably the biggest, is no market in fashion. How is that possible. Like a healthy "average" size body is not represented. I guess because then if women would see themselves represented in fashion, there would be nothing to feel bad about. And that doesn't sell.

Jenni Vuorinen I have a few things to say about your comment. 1) I think the "average body" doesn't sell because having an average body is unimpressive. 2) depending on where you live the average body isn't what many people (including doctors and surgeons) would call healthy. if the average body is considered to be medically obese then people who are not obese will get attention for being special ot average. 3) no such thing as a "healthy average size body". an average by definition is the number of measurement (in this case we will say pounds) divided by the number of people weighed. so if we have 5, 9, 10, 1, 2, and 3 added together they equal 30 which is divided by 6, this makes the average is 5 but some people are 1s and 2s while others are 9s and 10s.

Jordan Henderson I live in Southern Europe at the moment and would say that the most common body type is definitely not clinically unhealthy. It's European size Medium. It's not underweight it's not overweight. It's in the middle. And yes, I would say that these people who fall in the middle, who are the majority, are underrepresented in fashion.

Cat b I hated being an 8 people would always tell me I was small but I felt huge? I know so many people would love to be an 8 but it's such a strange size to me…you're "too big" to be really small but you're "too small" to be an "average" size of like 10-12

Shes perfect BEING an oversized model, im trying to make a point here saying that "NORMAL" models are super skinny while this girl who is perfectly ok is a plus size model and i dont get why a girl with a beautiful body like this, wouldnt be considered just a model and not a plus size one.. i am against the fact of calling models by "normal" and "plus size", i am myself plus size and i find this girl way thinner than me, that´s why i said that, because i think we should stop with this stereotype thing

If you reread what your wrote, you'll find that you resolved you own confusion. She's called a plus size model because she's not 'Super skinny'. Maybe the modelling companies should call them 'A-little-bigger-than-the-average-size model', but that doesn't roll out the tongue very nicely. Even if she's thinner than you, there's also perfection in 'plusier' sizes. :). Unless the 'plusier' size is obese. In no way do I advocate obesity, but if your BMI is normal and your general health is good, you shouldn't be worrying about your weight. Anyway I think in 90% of the cases, the whole idea of fashion modelling is flawed. not only does it make physical appearance central, but also because of the way it tries to define 'normal'.

we all know she is perfect, the problem is the size. human bones can be small or big, it depends of your genetic. that's it. maybe a TALL girl who has small bones try to buy some clothes and then the problem appears, cuz this model is big. not fat. i think..

Really? She's on her journey, true, but the road she's on right now I would definitely not wish upon you. No matter how anyone tries to justify it, a woman doing porn is a woman in pain. I was very surprised to see this video in the series. Please, love yourself enough to NEVER fall into porn! !!!!!
