A lot of the tips are relevant if you are living in Japan and may not really work or apply to people living outside of Japan, but I hope you find some of the information helpful
TOKYO VEG LIFE I’m a vegan living in Kokubunji from England originally. I take B12 supplement every day but I’m looking for foods fortified with B12. I have nutritional yeast with B12 which is very good. Eating out is usually OK not always in the countryside. Thank you for your videos which are so clear and easy to listen to.
Thank you, this was a great video. I also loved the recipes and will try some of them soon. Edited as just found the video on how to make shoyu koji. Great! When I came to Japan last I was still eating meat and hadn't realised I was intolerant to cow's dairy. So I was wondering how best to approach another visit and what to relax on. This video has helped. I can eat fish and meat on occasion if needed, I just need to figure out how to avoid the dairy. :) Back to improving my Japanese me thinks...
Thank you! Shoyu koji is quite easy to make if you can get koji in your country but if you can’t, you can just use soy sauce. Shoyu koji is a bit sweet (from the rice that koji grows on) so you may want to add some kind sweetener like mirin...! It’s tough to avoid dairy in Japan... it’s hidden everywhere!!😭 so that means I mostly cook and bake at home!
@@TOKYOVEGLIFE Thank you in turn. :) With the dairy I hope I can still have main dishes as long as I let meat and fish back in for the trip, but I know desserts (unless traditional) and sandwiches/baked goods such as most breads are out. The question is how best to ask about dairy for main dishes...but that will be an adventure for another day. In solidarity: I am German and when I go back from the UK to visit my family in the rural area dairy free or meat free is also pretty much impossible. The look on pity at the bakery... XD At least in the UK labelling is mostly improving. Thank goodness for cooking and baking at home!
先日カルパッチョ作りました!美味しかった!!!!!アメリカ、ニューハンプシャー在住で、先日手巻き寿司を食べたく、MAにある韓国大手スーパーで寿司ねたを買って手巻き作ったのですが、もう超まずくてがっかり。その後この動画を見て手巻きとは違いますが、刺身ぽさを味わいたく、作りました。ドレッシングをTokyo Veg life 様のしょうゆ麹を加えて和風でいただきました。さっぱりで大満足でした。友達にVegan、Vegitarianの友達が多くいるので、シンプルで美味しいレシピ、本当に助かります。余談ですが、私は10年ほどKundalini Yogaをしています。はまってます。
