Nice comparison, and good to know there are aspects of the heavier whoop to be of notice, especially that canopy. Pretty slick having the VTX bolt into the Canopy and FC to the frame. Both look like decent whoops, since getting into FPV I've gone with Happymodel a lot. They just have a price you can't beat in a lot of cases and make good stuff, I like how they fly. Also thank you for noting you prefer the HD Zero one too. It's helping me to decide which HD system I might want to use. As always, thank you for taking the time to make these videos for your adoring fans, Cheers! Edit: Forgot to mention the light sabers, not distracting at all, make em both blue and keep em running for your videos. Those look awesome!

Hi Nick Great video and review of the walksnail meteor75 and Moblite 7. I just love flying 75mm whoops, and walksnail has a excellent picture, but $230 for a Whoop, I have problems with $120 for a whoop with analog. Thanks again for the video and information about these two quads.
@lemonsquareFPV
@lemonsquareFPV Год назад
$110 for the video system… so your math is basically spot on. :p I do get what you mean though, especially getting it stuck in a tree or something, it’s a lot to loose for a tiny toy. But it’s even more extreme on the larger quads… that’s why you see people putting monumental effort, at times, for retrieval… Especially with a GoPro… you are generally looking at $1000+ for one quad… Better believe you will do everything in your power to retrieve it 😂 Analog is better on the small stuff anyway :p so just fly what you got and have fun!

@drelephanttube
@drelephanttube 5 месяцев назад
I'd be curious to know what your thoughts are now the Meteor75 PRO WS is out. It's 5g lighter than the Meteor75 you compared here, so the weights are fairly similar now, with the Meteor being 2g heavier than the Moblite7. Also it's a larger 80mm frame, bigger 45mm props and 22000kv motors instead of 18000kv, so now more kv than the Moblite7. I believe the Moblite7 has a BEC while the Meteor75 Pro doesn't, so i think the VTX will cut out if the voltage sags below 3.1V on the Meteor75 Pro, but not on the Moblite7. Is this true or will it happen on both those whoops? Is it something to worry about? Would it damage the batteries if it sags below 3.1V just for a second?

So, Chris Rosser did a video showing that the new 1s lite with lite camera (walksnail) was only 1g heavier than HDzero, so I suppose an equivalent build for moblite7 walksnail would be 30.5g and HDzero 29.5. If happymodel did that build with up to date walksnail 1s lite components then the walksnail looks more compelling.... what do you think?

Hey Nick, how about trying XT30 on your 75mm whoops? Whenever I have to use a 400-650mAh 1s battery, I use xt30 instead of ph2 or bt2 or gnb27. For the stick 300mAh 1s I keep ph2 or bt2. Although ph2 is way more convenient on the 65mm whoops. Kabobfpv switched his Emax Tinyhawk 2 to xt30 and I followed suit. Let's see a video of a difference between xt30 vs. bt2 or gnb27 on 75mm whoops. Thanks
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
xt30 is fine, but on a whoop they won't sit flat and add a touch of weight. I prefer to save any added weight to something I might not be able to reduce elsewhere. Add that I don't see any 300mah 1s batteries with stock xt30 and few xt30 1s stock batteries overall. So we have to switch on both ends.

@@jamesroberts8971 Funny how you mention AlfaRC. I have friends there and I literally have every frame they make. Good cruisers. Most have poor geometry for absolute performance, but that wasn’t the design intention… for what they are, they are great 👍🏻 good carbon too. 1404s make a really good cruiser/long range. Nick, I need help picking a new battery connector. It feels like Bluray vs HD DVD or VHS vs Betamax and I have a history of picking the wrong one! Isn't snhobbies.com in Canada. I see they are in BC. Is that far away? I see they have some betafpv and tattu batteries with bt2.0 They do have gnb27 as well but only the larger batteries better for 75mm whoops. I think if that shop is acceptable I would suggest bt2.0. I don't think bt2.0 will go away as it is the preferred connector for the most serious of whoopers/racers as it was the first better 1s connector on the market.

The 4’ tube lights we use in video production are $400, so $50 is super reasonable. Not the same, but it’s a data point :p These 100% look like lightsabers!! Great comparison Nick! ❤ I feel Walksnail would do significantly better with a 2” prop, when my 1S board gets here this will be the first thing I build. These motors are 1102… on a 75mm, 1002 is already on the big side, for me. What is that… 4 motor wise: 12g 1102 10g 1002 7-8g 0802 5.5g 0702 I’ll just leave these right here for reference… 75mm frames I fly on the daily: 4.24g HM V2 black 4.97g HM V2 white carbon bottom 5.41g HM V4 gray 5.51g HM V4 white 6.02g HM V4 white carbon bottom 6.90g NBD 75 blue carbon bottom

ouch $400, I suppose for professional work the highest quality is required. I am not a fan of 1002 on 2inch triblades. I don't feel the prop control that I prefer, they do work well on 2inch biblades.
@lemonsquareFPV
@lemonsquareFPV Год назад
@@NickBurnsFPV Agreed! 2” bi-blades and heavy 40mm, literally perfect on 1002s, but that’s it, I wouldn’t do a heavier prop. Maybe the ultralight 65mm push-on props.. hmm 🤔 I’m gonna try this today. I assume it will be a bit better than when we had 0802 toothpicks with 65mm. But that wasn’t that good at all honestly. Edit: The lights are just higher colour rendering index and brightness. And more durable, obviously, to be able to survive a production environment. This all costs money. But if it’s a light you won’t pack and move too much and don’t need the brightness, then a cheaper light would obviously be better in that application.

@@itzjoeylo4501 I think the meteor85, happymodel bassline or mobula 8 all fit that description. Maybe the best of the bunch is the flywoo flylens85, its also likely the most expensive of the group. I reviewed the O3 version of the flylens85.
