In fairness to Jim Sterling, Digital Homicide overreacted in a comical fashion and showed a lack of professionalism on their part; the _Down the Rabbit Hole_ two-parter on them is ... well, interesting.
Honestly, no sarcasm at all, we should all strive to be like Len, he works hard on his passion, is kind to everyone, and can handle harsh criticism with a positive attitude. He’s a good guy.
I know Len just from RedLetterMedia videos but seeing him during this video he is so charismatic he could a lead actor in Hollywood. And I am not joking. To me he seemed really charismatic.
I think it's great to see things like this. We don't always like everyone's work and sometimes we get really passionate in our criticism, but it's never about disrespecting the people who put work into them, and having people like Len on the show is a good way to show the viewers that there's no animosity and this is all really just for fun.

I love hearing Len talk about all the technical aspects of these films, and then thinking about how much he has failed at them in his own films. It raises the question of whether he's actually an incompetent filmmaker or a B movie genius. It seems more like the latter, because he comes off ass a really smart guy who knows his stuff.

a MILLION years late to this, sorry, but i'd like to offer the perspective of if you watch the end credits to a modern studio film they go on seemingly forever. Thousands of people. if you make a movie independently with just a handful of people inevitably it's going to show. Even the shittiest movie involves a superhuman amount of effort just to be created. It takes a discerning eye to see the charm, passion and talent in a tiny production and therein lies the kinship between Len and RLM.
Every time I come back to this episode I am always surprised at how well RLM and Len play off each other, he seems more like an old friend you haven't seen for a while rather than a guest star. We really do need Len to come back once in a awhile.
+HyperGolem but you can see him smiling and giving a nice chuckle now and then. I'm like that I watch hilarious shit movies and am completely stone faced apart from a slight grin now and then. It's just how some people are. For example I have laughed at about 3 jokes RLM has done in 5 months, they are easily the most consistently funny and enjoyable thing out there for weirdos like me.
I'm kind of in the same boat there. I wouldn't describe myself as stone faced, exactly. I smile often and easily, but it's rare that a movie or video makes me genuinely laugh. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy it, far from it, I generally have a great time with these shows, I just seem to reserve that extreme reaction for those rare times when I genuinely can't contain myself. If I can get even one good laugh out of something, I know it's something special. So, as one of those people that sits quietly through most of the movie, let me assure you that, yes, we really are having just as much fun as you are.

I liked this Len guy, I honestly think he took this Best of the Worst format more seriously than any of the other guys, and his personality fit really well. I kind of wish he could be on more episodes
What Len says about his son being born and getting married to his wife is actually quite touching, and speaks well of his character. Good for him for being a genuinely good guy.
Seeing Len lose it was the best part. He was so stoic through out the video but towards the end when Mike is cracking everyone up he finally breaks. And it was perfect. I feel like he's a cool dude and it was neato burrito seeing him with RLM for this.
i like Len's aproach. i thought they were looking at the movies realistic, but when he showed up i seen them as just doing it to laugh at uncopetent filmmakers. but he found something good in every movie no matter how bad it was. and i think thats a really good mindset. i guess thats why he doesnt get discouraged by bad things in his movies but on good and make a new ones, and he is really knowlegable about B movies
Seeing him comment gives me tremendous respect for him..why shows he cares genuinely...not like some Star Wars producers watch his films over theirs any day! Kudos to you Len👏

I feel bad that Ocelot became a token villain despite being friendly in mgs3. Snake/big boss are cool and all but they don't do a cat roar before combat.
I love how when you watch this first episode with Len, he's very reserved and professional. Cut to the episode with Black Cougar, he's drinking and riffing on the guys, laughing the whole time. It's the kind of beautiful character development I like to see in my internet review shows.
Len seems like he's been a part of the RLM gang for years, he fits naturally into the group and adds a lot to the discussion and the laughs. What a cool guy.
I want Len Kabazinsky to become a member of Redlettermedia. I want a movie starring Len and Rich Evans called DOUBLE FORCE (always typed with caps lock) with tons of overly complicated martial arts stunts combined with nomedy puns followed with brutal silence making audience want to die. That would be a perfect movie.
I really love the positivity that Len brings to the table when they're discussing the movies. Sometimes the RLM guys and gals have a tendency to skew towards the negative, so it was really cool when Len had everyone list a positive about each of the films. I actually wish this was an aspect to the post-movie discussion that they would do regularly.
This is why BOTW is the best thing on RU-vid. It's a bunch of mates having a good time and talking about movies. Len you're a legend, never stop doing what you love man!
Len is really a director. Though he is quiet, he commands respect and directs conversation positively. Wish he was a regular fixture. What a cool guy. And so well-spoken!
I absolutely love how good of a sport Len is and how well he gels with the rest of the crew in this episode. I really hope he comes back for another episode.

Len Kabasinski was an awesome guest. A great sport and pretty funny, also introducing the whole "one good thing" into the discussion was cool. I feel like unfortunately he will get a lot of hate from the rest of the viewers just because Best of the worst didn't like his movies, Seeing this reminds me he is a human being and I can't hate him for a few movies he made. Fair play to you Len and I apologize for the rest of the people audience who seem to be convinced you're a jerk.
it was interesting to see that the person who made Skull Forest wasn't a Monkey, but instead a guy who seems some-what intelligent about the genre he works in. . .which i wasn't expecting. . .at all
I had similar thoughts. Naming "one good thing" would be a great regular addition. And remembering that human beings made these films is also important.
I haven't seen any hate for Len at all, he indirectly gave us great entertainment by his movies being on best of the worst and showed great character and constitution by appearing on the show. He made this one of the best Best of the Worsts so far.
Oh man Len is so freakin cool!!! Goes out there and makes the movies he wants to make and you can really tell how much love he has for his work. I know it’s a little late, but I’m now a huge fan of this guy. I’m currently in the middle of watching all his movies and I can’t wait to see what he does next!

I actually saw Ninja III in the theater and later bought it on VHS. The female lead played "Special K" in Breakin' and Breakin' II: Electric Boogaloo. That has to count for something!
Len was a fantastic addition, very subdued and positive to contrast with the rest of the crew's unending flow of heavy snark. He wasn't quite as talkative, true, but his contributions had excellent value per second. Seems like a really nice guy, too.
Len, great respect to you for taking part in this, your dry humor really adds something to the comedy of RLM :) Hope to see more collaborations in the future :)

Len handled this perfectly and came out looking pretty good. I imagine that it only improved his standing. he has a demeanor I would describe as hawkish, but in a good way

It's brilliant! :D I've got to be honest I only watched 2 of his movies: Skull Forest (after seeing the RedLetterMedia episode) and Fist Of The Vampire. There is something really fun about watching these movies together with friends. :)
I hadn't been familiar with Len's work before RLM made videos about his movies, but watching him here gave me a new appreciation for B movies and the work that goes into them. If we give low budget films a chance, odds are we could find the next Star Wars. Also, Len is pretty funny too lol
I love when they invite someone in and, first, they have a great sense of humor, and two, they fit in great. Len is one of those people. I wish they'd do a Best of the Best guest special or something. Invite all the best guests back and subject them to the Wheel of the Worst. Len and Mack, Len and Mack! I do appreciate his sense of film, this Len fellow. He understands what he's doing and he makes a fun time for viewers.
I know this was put up thousands of years ago, but I still think Len's initial stage punch is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The muscles work, the sound is perfect, it looks EXACTLY like Rich got hit in the right way. Very well done, everyone.
Maybe it's just me, but it looks like Len really liked those movies, but the other people keep destroying them. I like the positive thing though, they should keep that
kabasinski Len Hey Len. Have you seen "Duel to the Death" (1983), "Geisha Assassin" (2008), or "Five Element Ninjas" (1982)? Those are all entertaining films that I would recommend.
I love Len in this episode - like a reverse Streisand effect. Instead of flipping out at RLM for reviewing the film (generating bad press) - join them for reviews, getting the word out on your films and building goodwill with the community.
Wonder if Len has ever seen Nine Deaths of the Ninja? (The protag's name is literally Spike Shinobi.) I'd love to hear his thoughts on that wonderful piece of ninja schlock.
Upon revisiting this one, I wish it was like 20-30 mins longer. I bet there was some gold that got cut out because RLM was trying to keep it under 45 mins to fit the format. So glad they began embracing long-format when they did, hour-plus is where it's at.
i think longer eps were inevitable. as the popularity grew, and the discussions got harder and harder to cut stuff out, end result is long episodes for us!
Honestly, Len is my favourite special guest. His input on martial arts movies was really fun, he genuinely seems passionate about the movies he makes and things he likes, and he overall seems like a very chill and wholesome dude. I wish RLM invited him more for like martial arts specials.
In "Ninja III" the role of evil Ninja was played by great Hong Kong cinematographer David Chung (RIP), he also directed some fun stuff himself like "Royal Warriors" and "I Love Maria". From working with Tsui Hark and Ann Hui to a no name role in Cannon movie :(
Before watching this BotW and the interview I had no idea who Len was. He was so cool, gentlemanly, and knowledgeable about film work that I became an instant fan. Hope to see him in more RLM and can’t wait to support anything he makes himself. Class act, sir!
I really like the part of the discussion Len introduced where they have to try to name a positive thing about the movie. I wish they would have kept doing that
@kabasinski Len I think thats what I liked. The show has a sort of bullying quality to it sometimes, so it was good to get even a tiny modicum of credit to the people who are really just trying to follow their passion for movie making or storytelling. Even if its just a single line of dialogue, or a shot, or a costume or monster that they found positive, it brings in a tiny bit of humanity to the video

The discussion about "Leathal Ninja" ist one of the funniest ever! I got so excited about this movie. Also Len ist a great guest for this ... really passionat about movies and ninjas in general. Best name for a hero in a movie: PERM MULLET!
