Fantastic!! You are so right, not a gun problem it is a people problem!!! When I was in high school, during hunting season always had my shotguns in my gun racks in my 79 Bronco. The assistant principal ask me one time what I had in there so I showed him and he wanted to buy one of them. Aww the good Ole days

Riding to school in 1980s rural PA on a SCHOOL BUS with your 30-30 in tow so you could go hunting after school with your friends. They had a special locker in the Guidance Counselor's office where they'd lock your gun up while you were at school. Can you imagine that today?

Same in my High School. We used to come to school wearing our hunting clothes during deer and dove season in my Central Texas town. We also had guns in our cars and at times our Teachers would come out and drool very our rifles and shotguns. Then they’d take us to their truck or car to see their guns too. But that was when we lived in America back in the 70’s. Now we live in the USSA and Russia is free.

I've been running one of those Great Day two gun racks in my pickup for a couple three years. Great rack. Nice and solid. Mine sits up real close and touching the headliner fabric. I removed it today, and found the bolt hex heads that hold the two outriggers was rubbing on the headliner. Rubbed through to the board. So, I replaced those two with some carriage bolts. The outriggers are aluminum, so i just drove the carriage bolts into it, and re-nutted it to the crossbar with the same locknuts. I keep my truck gun in it all the time, and my hunting rifle goes in the back when I'm taking it out. No head clearance problems. Thanks for the great video.

Sweet rack, a couple things I would do is I’d change those hex nuts to cap nuts, they are dome shaped, and I would also go to a plumbing supply house and buy some 1 1/4 black pipe insulation just for safety purposes. Other than that it looks good!

I like it. One thing you could add is those old style BMX handle bar pads we used as kids and wrap it over the metal behind your head i case you are flying over a big dirt mound in truck so you’re head stays clean no blood.

I originally was looking for a stand-up mount behind the center console, but with my truck being lifted and darkened windows, I believe this will be the better mount for my 2020 GMC Sierra 4X4. Thanks for posting it and I'm also glad to see that you changed up to a one gun mount b/c I was curious if the two gun mount might be a little uncomfortable for my hard head. STAY ALERT, STAY ALIVE! Put 1 or 2 self tappers in the upright pillars for those paddles to rest on. Trust me! Then tighten up those middle nuts more and the rack will rise up and hug the ceiling giving more head space. These are awesome!!

Be damned careful with an overhead gun rack! The PA State Police used overhead gun racks in their cruisers and in a couple of incidents... the trooper Bell incident being the most well-known, a motorist rear-ended the trooper's cruiser and the rifle dislodged during the collision and struck the troopers in the back of the head, killing them. If you have an overhead mount, make sure the gun has to be removed TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, so it can't become a "club to the head" in an accident.

You need to flip those mounts around to where the rifles are closer the the roof. That way you have more head clearance

That was my first thought! He could probably get the bars to go over the top and make it super tight to the roof, but if he has to go under the mounting bar it would still sit a few inches higher!

Interesting setup. Subbed. I’ve had mixed results with Velcro holding under a severe knock. A rubber strap that you could hook would have been a better design in that unit.

I got a phantom holster under my dash in my 19 250. The plus is it holds the front sight so you can rack the slide if needed. The bad is it mounts straight so it hits my knee. Fit great in my 11 2500 Silverado. I got a new Bronco on order for the wife so I’ll be putting mine in hers and getting one like yours. And I’m old enough to remember when gun mounts were a factory option, now that’s AMERICA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I didn’t go with the Sasquatch package as it only comes with a 4.70 gear ratio. i love my rack like this. it holds two heavy rifles well. two years ago i was rearended on some ice. it stayed put and didnt move. mine is in the center two holes for the gun holders. i guess you noticed one side is barrel to left and other side barrel to the right. i acutally put my square tube on top of the forks on the side and it sits really snug to the roof line. i have had it on a 08 chevy and 16 f150. great video.

I have a nice old school shotgun/rifle rack from the P.D. I used to love them because they were easy to use and were even electronically activated with a hideaway by the seat. Bad thing is, it can easily be opened with a handcuff key :(

I totally recommend the gun rack to everyone that wish to carry coupe of rifles with them in their trucks. I have one in my truck, and I am happy with it. I carry walking sticks and other survival stuff if I don't have my rifles in the rack. Good review on this rack, great job!

it's probably been posted but why not move the square tubing on top of the flat plat on either end. That should raise the guns up 1". The flat bar holding the gun brackets would also be pushed up against the head liner stabilizing them (cut down on the rattle). You could also drill new holes in the flat bar off set from center to move the front gun towards the rear a little. I'd say that gun mount is a universal mount which probably fits a variety of trucks.

Love your videos! The rack looks very cool. I do not have a sunroof in my superduty either, do you think there is room to flip the gun holding part of the rack over? I have a Great Day rifle rack in my jeep. I didn’t like those cradles that came on it so I removed them and replaced them with some atv gun mount cradles that mounted on the Great Day bar. In my jeep the mount is a little different as it mounts between my roll bar so I have it mounted as far forward and still be able to flip down my sun visors. I use it for my hog hunting AK and it works great.

Love the 2A bud. Here's a question though, if/when you get pulled over, you don't think a jumpy cop might see that handgun right by your leg and start some serious shit? Or do you put it in the glove box before he comes up? Seems to me like having it in the center console or GB might decrease your risk of friendly fire by nearly 100%. Oh, not to mention thieves, anyone seeing that would steal it. So you take that out every time you leave the truck? Thanks.

When you're 6'6" you don't have a lot of headroom. I drive a full-size Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and my head would still be bumping it. In any case, I'd love to be able to mount it there if, it's a great set up.

I like the gun rack but usually keep mine in the back seat. Then put it in a backpack when I leave the vehicle. My truck gun collapses down to 18 inches. 300 blackout is great for shorty truck guns. But I really like the pistol mount. Going to pick one up. First time watcher and new subscriber here.

I had one that mounted to the braces in the ceiling. I loved it until I hit a pothole and my rifle came out and hit me in the head about knocking me out. I had blood everywhere inside my truck. That was the last time I used it for a gun and I started putting my levels for building in it.

You could always hang it on C pillar instead of B pillar. (Over back seat instead of front seat)

If you bent the front gun mount straight down and lengthened it a little. you could have it run behind the seat and not bash your head.

It’s a Colt M4. Stock upper and lower. Unless you are talking about the grip, it’s a magpul grib. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

I have a real simple truck, two doors, diesel and a 8' bed I never have to make and I just put a long arms behind the seats if I want, it's simple that way, no ignition system, computers, cameras or monitor. I have no ability for an overhead gun rack but was curious, thanks for sharing, stay strapped.
