i run the old version of these motors quite a lot, half or so of the QS testers are on these. As you say, they are a good middle of the road choice, at a reasonable price. As for durability, i don't think i rip quite as hard as you do, but these motors also have come a long way. While splitting the early versions was not uncommon, i have not yet split a single one of the (old) SE variant.

@@InfinityLoops yup just the gold 18000kv, I like the Drone but kind of disappointed in their motors it's like one batch is good and then the next batch I get a buzzy motor and they don't seem to last long. Any advice welcome 👍 thanks for the response

Who makes the motors for betafpv? Isn't it rcinpower? Also are the new rcinpower 0802 with real bearings?

I'm not sure who makes the BetaFPV motors. The RCinPower 0802s do claim dual bearings. I'll pull some apart when I get them.

unrelated to the 0802se stuff... any big pref between 75 and 85mm for freestyling, and further - heavy, like 40g-50g (hd)?

I prefer 75mm. 85 felt a bit clumsy to me. Maybe just for what I was trying to do with it. As for HD...I haven't done any yet...😢

Ok I am back to annoy you guys lol. 1s lipo ??? I run 300mah badass new nee drone batteries but the life expectancy of the packs is not very high is that normal like 30 to 50 cycles , and yes I run them at least try no lower than 3.3

I know racers burn through those Nitro Nectars fairly quickly. As for normal usage, I'm not too sure if that's normal for those. I use 450mah cells on my 75mm daily whoop. Most brands that i've tried are hit or miss on longevity. 1s batteries are a little bit unpredictable as for life expectancy. Maybe try the weBLEED 300s next batch you get. I've heard great things about those.

not the best quality for me. I have 2 motors gone with a mild crash (with para motors on..and no props were involved 🤣). Three 0802se that I have, have a lot of vibrations at >75% of TH (without props on, so with props the effect is even worse), other not so bad, so filtering a whoop (with a carbon frame) with these on, is pretty impossible. Also with RPM filter enabled, I have to enlarge its range..despite the latency. So now understand why with plastic frame, they work better ('cause vibration r absorbed by the frame itself)...with carbon frame these r not the best choice.. They work, but I don't like them
