I bought this book. I have been following the meal plan for a couple of weeks without deviating. Here’s what I think (as someone who has done every “diet” plan for the last 20 years, and I lose weight but can sustain bc it’s unrealistic for the long term) I LOVE that this meal plan includes bread and pasta. It has helped me overcome my fear of certain foods bc I am eating carbs and still losing weight. I feel this is totally something I can do long term. As with any diet or meal plan, it’s not for certain people who have ED or other issues around food or body image. There’s no counting calories or macros, which is a plus. You need to weigh or measure your food with this plan. That ensures you get the correct serving size. That’s another plus for me. They do discuss calories but don’t go into great detail about individual meal calorie count. For me, it’s great- easy to follow, tells you the truth, doesn’t exclude food groups.

I’m glad this one is more sustainable for you ☺️ I just noted for my plan they didn’t include enough calories and I would still be very hungry and under fueled. As long as you are happy and it’s not causing stress then keep it going !

What you and others can do is, do not buy it immediately! I originally filled this out a couple weeks ago. You WILL get discounts in emails they send you after you don't buy. Right now, the prices for each item for me, individually is, for the e book $27.99, the paperback is $55.99, the app prices $37.76 (3 months) $53.05 (6 months) $25.89 for 1 month. My advice for people wanting to try is to let those emails keep coming until you get the abolute lowest price they'll give you. I do not know if I want to buy it but with those prices, I just might

I'm glad you mentioned the Body Fat section of the book. I see that they did use an equation that's used BMI to calculate BF%, but I have always been told specifically NOT to use BMI as a BF% predictor. Calipers are often what's used if you don't have special BF equipment. And calipers help you find your body density, and you use that to find BF%. Also, the waist to height ratio is a BMI alternative. Once again, I wouldn't use it to calculate BF% (I don't even think there's an equation to do so) but it's another way indicating a person being underweight, normal, overweight, predicting health risks, etc. P.s. I tend to lose my appetite when I really get stressed. It really is, like so many thinhs health and wellness, a subjective thing. I don't have the book. I've just looked at some reviews .

Thank you for this review! I was so close to purchasing this program but don't feel this is the one for me. Agree with you, healthy food does not need to be bland! These recipes look so basic! So much more you can do with healthy food that taste delicious. Also I don't like the shaming part. Many have medical reasons that make weight loss difficult. It's not all about the diet and exercise. Anyway great honest review!

I am 63 YO female that has struggled with my weight all my life. I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. I went to a dietician for 3 months and struggled to lose 10 lbs. I got my A1C down to 6.3 from 6.7 but my doctor was not happy. Told me I needed to lose more weight to stay off more medicine. He gave me 3 months to lose 10 lbs. I started the beyond body meal plan on July 18th. First week of food cost me $110. On average per week, after that, I spend anywhere from $39 to $69 at the grocery store. At my 3 month visit I was down 22 lbs and my A1C was 6.0. I just rinse and repeat the diet and feel great. I consider it a great diet.

I have bought the book and will be getting the app for six months. Looking over it, I do like the app better as it gives different meal choices. I plan on starting the program tomorrow so we will see where it takes me. I did enjoy your video and found it to be honest and informative. I personally did not feel body shamed when reading the pages you mentioned, but after watching your video, I can see how the way they word things can make people feel bad about themselves or defeated, so I’m glad you put that in there. I also wanted to mention, in regards to spices and seasoning, that listed at the bottom of each meal prep there is a suggested seasoning section listing various spices that would work well with the meal. Not sure if this is something new they’ve added since you made this video, since I just bought my book 2 weeks ago, but just wanted to mention there are suggestions for seasoning at least at this point.

I've been considering this book, and I'm glad I watched this video first. I was only interested because it (supposedly) gave you a training plan and mapped out your meals. I've had great success with the Tone It Up program (I've lost 60 pounds and kept it off even while not on a diet), but they stopped giving fully mapped out meal plans and went to "here are a bunch of recipes, plug them in to their respective places". That's great if you like doing that or if you don't have some kind of executive disfunction.

Dang! I should have done more research before buying. I actually bought the physical book and unfortunately it is not a hardcover for $70. When I bought the book, my intention was to eat healthier so this was to give me some ideas with ingredients that I may tolerate. There are some weird recipe like a tortilla + cream cheese + strawberries for a snack wrap. I also agree with some foods might cause the person to be hungry. For example, mine has 2 large eggs, 9 radishes (eww and how bizarre), and whole grain bread for breakfast. As a nursing staff who is physically active at a hospital, I'm gonna be hangry in 2 hours and will be starving until lunch! On the other hand, spaghetti with meat and mushroom for dinner or a healthy snack of greek yogurt + blueberries + peaches sounds yummy. Though the yogurt might benefit with adding honey and granola pieces.

Teresa first THANK YOU for everything you do! My full time job is with healthcare and I used to work closely with nurses. I know how hard y’all work. Alsoooo the book does have comical snacks and meals. I say use the meals and snacks as inspiration, choose the ones you like and because you are on your feet soooooo much pack some extra snacks with fiber and protein. I loled at the 9 radishes 😂😂

Hardest part about a lot of these diet plans for me is the one allergy/intolerance that they don't consider is red meat. As long as I remember red meat makes me sick and sometimes when the recipe calls for it I don't know what to do. I am not the best cook.

I think any book like this is not targeted towards folks with E.D. notes are avaliable in an app you have to pay for, but I agree there is room for improvement on this book and I hope they adjust it. personally I love this book and the visuals were wonderful. I'm in a good state of mind, am a retired athlete, and just needed something to help me stick to a meal plan. so it was fantastic for me. I like that you kept this review honest and didn't bash everything.

Hey! Thank you for this perspective! Totally agree with visuals! I usually say something about eating disorders and also disordered eating (sometimes people don’t have an eating disorder but they do have a negative relationship with food) and I wouldn’t recommend it to them either. I’m glad you are finding something that works for you ☺️ I always want to like the foods I try and nutrition guides I read, but always trying to give my honest opinion not click bait opinion lolololol hope you are having a fantastic week!

I chose the vegetarian option and a lot of the ingredients can be bought frozen or easily stored in the freezer for later recipes. I just season the recipes as I like 😂 I'm only a few days in but it's a far cry from the processed foods I was eating.

Well... I should have researched before I ordered. Dang TikTok! But, honestly I didn't buy it to be on the diet, I bought it so that I could have something that would give me some easy healthy meal ideas all in one place. I can cook and I can modify and season as I see fit, but I wanted a place to start to get back on track with actually eating and making good choices.

Thank you for your review. I bought the book but couldn’t make it past a week, twice. Meals were definitely odd, a lot were bland and I was hungry after. Don’t think they gave me enough options with proteins. And some of the pages did make me feel pretty bad about myself.

I took the questionnaire because I was hoping for a slight preview so I could decide if I even wanted it. My questionnaire did not have the same beginning as yours to select mt target areas. And the body style question did not have my body type to select so I'm doubtful on trying it. But I'm horrible with any dieting. It's overwhelming and I'm a picky eater.

It told me I'd lose 120+ lbs by next March 2025 if I start today. I have been doing strict keto 6+ years and working out. I have a high bmi. I hate everything.

This book seem so objective which could be ok, but I’m more in the side that loosing weight implicates MANY things, mentally and emotionally, coping with stress, hormones, healthy determination/ sacrifices and knowledge and not only a meal you need to follow with some substitutes, and if you fail you should have tried harder. The tone of the book is awful.

I started to purchase a different program and needed to cancel! There was so much stress in my family that it was beyond me to work on my own health and diet at the time. So, I canceled immediately with an email refund copy from the original ordering site. Mind you that we were having internet problems and had no internet for days at a time, too. Three weeks later, I received a notice from a third-party web force, claiming that I couldn't get a refund. And, that I was responsible for the full amount. It has been eight months now, and I am still fighting the third, just a word of caution to many of the companies in this kind of business, consciou keto is to be checked out. Kk leaves a bad taste in your mouth and a fight to the finish. The credit card co is fighting for me, but the wf says it has delivered, counciled, and I have used it services and products. It is nerve-wracking for me, but I'm still fighting for justice. It is very scary to see these offered programs .

I really love Fitgirls Guide. The recipes are yummy and there’s a workout plan. They give you weekly grocery list and it tells you what to cook on which days. There are also alternate ways to use the ingredients in the case you don’t like the preparation of a meal. My favorite part is the mental lifestyle plan. It’s about finding how to love your body and working toward the one you want. It’s amazing. And there’s an amazing supportive online community.

I just got my book, and it looks like they just threw ingredients together, and more than half the ingredients I don’t buy have never bought and they ignored my choice of foods, i.e. I left off raspberries, because I don’t like them, and at they have them in there. I don’t eat breakfast and only eat 2 main meals a day. I will go through the book and see what I can take from it and leave the rest. Realistically not worth the money

I have not found any that I Lovee. But I will keep looking. I personally haven’t tried @whitneysimmons alive program but I have heard she puts a lot of thought into her workouts and makes it for a wide range of fitness levels . I will add this to my video list ideas. Thank you !!!

Do you know if electric home scales are an accurate measure of body fat percentage

Solid question it uses Bioimpedance aka unnoticeable electrical currents to detect fat mass vs lean mass in our bodies. Calibrated and at the optimal performance it can be 5% off (sometimes more and sometimes less) also it can change depending on hydration, time of the month with hormones, when you exercised , etc. its all relative and you can use it as a guidance point to see differences in a year or month to month? I only suggest this if it doesn’t add stress 💛
