Point of order: You DO NOT need to have all heroes in your realm defeated BEFORE you activate the remote and defeat Omnidroid v.10. I won my last game with Syndrome by neutralizing three heroes with combinations of "Fifteen years later", "Zero Point Energy", and "Containment Unit". On my next turn, I moved to Downtown Metroville (thankfully clear of Heroes), collected three Power, and then consumed three "Major Modifications" (previously played) to summon Omnidroid v.10 as an Ally (this is a free action that can be done at any time). I used the "Play a Card" action to play "Syndrome's Remote" from my hand (I kept it there after defeating Omnidroid v.09) to Downtown Metrovilee, which swaps Omnidroid v.10 to the hero side of the Realm. Now that the Remote was in play, at Syndrome and Omnidroid v.10s location, I used its "Activate" action to defeat Omnidroid v.10. After that, I just had to load up on guards to vanquish the previously nullified heroes. Easy sweep.
I was waiting for this I’m excited for the rest of the characters. I love all of the conditions in all of the characters in this expansion. Syndrome is my 5th favorite villain in Villainous.
I was hit with Monologuing and That Was Totally Wicked where both made me lose Major Modifications when Omnidroid X9 was in play. However, I still pulled off a victory with Syndrome. Do not be discouraged when losing those items, because you can still win with Syndrome.
@@LordoftheBoard yeah actually, I'm just mad coz it's happened to me before, one played teamwork and organised the deck and my other who was playing jafar did his condition and play my top fate card, it was totally wicked, lost 2 mods and 7 allies, only time I've rage quit on villainous ha
I bet anything that each time a new Disney Villainous comes out, another series of strategy videos cannot be too far behind. I would still like to see Judge Claude Frollo make the cut in the next Villainous.
That was totally wicked is probably one of the most devastating fate cards in all of the villianous games. Maybe even the most devastating card of them all
Nice! I’ve been looking forward to these strategy guides. Oddly enough even though Syndrome is probably my favorite villain of the set I’m not that big a fan of playing him due to how brutal his fates are, however your strategy of always vanquishing actually makes a lot of sense.
That was Totally Wicked is a brutal card. Especially if you are transitioning to V9 to V10. I had like 5 allies and 2 major modifications, and that card removed any hopes of me winning.
I’ve been surprisingly loving Syndrome! The fate card “No Capes” makes me smile soooo much ! His condition cards are so powerful 🙈👏🏼 Great vid friend ❤️
Sounds great, in theory, but it's extremely rare that anyone would ever pay full price for the Robot Queen when there are so many ways for Ratigan to make it cheaper.
@@mrnegative4482 youre right, looks like the condition cares about the final cost of the card and gears reduce that. I thought it just cared about the power printed on the card.
I will be getting this expansion and all the others ( I have original, perfectly wretched and wicked to the core) for my birthday and the days are so hard to countdown I am so excited

YAASS so good to see your strategy guides back again! These videos are so perfect for someone who’s already conversant with the game (and 21 characters in we bloody well should be by now!) Now for someone playing Syndrome who has been brutally zapped by “That Was Totally Wicked” and they lose all their Items: do you recommend any particular method for trying to super cycle through his Villain deck since it will need to be shuffled and start all over? It’s not like he has Scrying like Jafar. There MUST be an ideal way/ a better method to get all those copies of Major Modifications back in-hand. Thots? @@LordoftheBoard Thanks so much man. I suppose if Syndrome is playing *against* someone like Jafar (“Scry”) or Ursula (“Divination”), characters who have those rather large-volume discard functions, it could be better for him with his condition “Not a Sidekick.” Gotta stay sharp!
Many thanks for the video. I have one question, though...Can 15 Years Later be played if there are no Heroes left in the Fate deck? (Same goes for Welcome To Sunnyside and Big baby's ability in Lotso's deck). And if it can, how exactly does that work? When would you stop revealing Fate cards?
Wait, at 12:05 he says to keep the heros revomed back to the fate deck. I thought that when you defeat a hero it goes into a Fate discard pile? Am i worng? Does it just go back into the deck? Where in the deck? Do i need to reshuffle?
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Pixar Villains joining the game alongside Disney Villains is TOO MUCH for Mr. Incredible!" I love the inclusion of Pixar antagonists but I kind of wish they had their own Game like Marvel Villainous.
I'm still a bit confused about the Omnidroid upgrades. When I played, I just paid the 1 power to play the target eliminated card and on my next turn discard it to upgrade to x9 then the same times 3 for the x10. So I can upgrade just by attacking into a hero with the omnidroid or do I need the target eliminated card on the board also? And do I need to down a hero with an ally or the omnidroid to play the upgrade card things? My fiance and I are brand new so I'm trying to make sure I know it.
@@LordoftheBoard if your opponents are not fating you, and you are only using mirage or 15 years later to fate yourself, you don't need allies other than omnidroid v 8 and 9
Absolutely despise this character. Had a 4+ hour game with my fiance playing Lotso tonight ending in a loss for me. Getting to v10 is no problem at all and I even managed to destroy it without too much trouble, but I just couldn't get rid of all of the heroes on the board because of the two Fate cards that allow the opponent to order the next six fate cards. That reshuffles the fate deck way too often with how many heroes get pumped out there, especially with That Was Totally Wicked getting played regularly. Very poorly balanced and simply not fun to play.
we are rly irritated with expansion bc of its vague instructions. the card that explains each objective says syndrome must test on heros and modify before lvling up to the next omnidroid but the little personal guide for each villian does NOT say anything about testing on heros nor does it explain the modifications that are needed. multiple videos on here are showing both with and without defeating heroes and my sister is saying shes about to just flat out grab a vanquish action square and siny vanquish #8 that way to lvl up bc the guide simply said vanquish action......theres so much speculation and not truly knowing the proper way to play and having the proper lvl of difficulty for each character is just rly irritating. what is the RIGHT way to transition from 8 to 9 and 9 to 10????
You vanquish a hero using an Omnidroid to remove it from the Board - then you remove the number of Major Modification requested to play a new Omnidroid - must play 9 first - vanquish with it, then must play v10. 9 takes 1 major modification V10 takes 3 major modifications. If you follow setup in syndromes player aid you will get it. And read the Omnidroid cards
thank you. maybe you guys got more in depth villian guides bc ours didnt have a set up guide and his villian guide did not mention testing on heros at all. it briefly mentioned the modifications but with little to no explaination before moving on to the remote. ours simply said vanquish to move up and heres how to use the remote. i probably wont play syndrome tonight but i did enjoy playing madam mim and lotso. they've def seemed to have increased difficulty.
