I like how they go as far to make the yellow in the fate cards black as well. Also I think a good villain to add would be Magika De Spell from Ducktales. I think she would be really unique and fun to play
They also need to add Shan Yu from Mulan, Governor Radcliffe from Pocahontas and Clayton from Tarzan. Oh and Madame Mim from The Sword In the Stone. Also they should do a Pixar Villians expansion with Syndrome from The Incredibles, Ernesto De La Cruz from Coco and other ones. Oh and they could also do Darth Vader in a Star Wars expansion.
I really like playing with Pete. I didn’t realize you could knock out more than one goal on a turn. He’s really my favorite of the ones I have played now.
Yeah, it could have been Cruella, Gothel, and Gaston, since all three are Vain and self obsessed. I don't really see what Pete has in common with the other Villains in this expansion, but I'm glad he joined nonetheless.
Love the filter effect. I am looking forward to Pete although I wish they had picked one model to be consistant with. But it's the evolution. Also it's "ja-LOP-y" EDIT: Wait, I am legitimately first for once?
I drew a God hand with three Bandits. Saved up some power and knocked out two goals with one turn (10 Ally strength + Spend 6 power at this location). Pete is tricky to play but really fun.
Just brought the Perfectly Wretched expansion pack for Disney Villainous and trying to decided who to play first. This video has given me some great ideas and tips on how to play Pete so thank you very much
Kevin Shaw yeah he definitely has a different feel than most villains. Especially cause even the placement of the goals can really change up gameplay. I was very pleased with him!
Hey! I use the ultra Pro Matte Sleeves :) they are a little more expensive than just your basic cheap sleeves but I invest in them cause they actually last and protect the cards. Plus they give the cards a cool matte look
@@LordoftheBoard Thanks for the reply! Wondering how you store the game though. I've found that slots for the decks aren't deep enough for the added thickness of the cards in sleeves.
Josh O'Donnell for the expansions it has worked with sleeves. For the base game I took out the insert and wrapped each villain deck with a rubber band and stack them onto each other on one side and then use baggies for the rest of the components :)
Hey Dude; I've got a question; regarding the goal of "Rule the Realm" I can win? if there are no heroes in a location; But I do have allies. Or there must be a hero. Thanks
Hey! There doesn’t have to be a hero. You just have to have more allies than heroes. Hence I say just try to get 1 ally at each location as quick as possible :) thanks for watching!
Awesome video as always, all that's left is Mother Gothel 👍. Any chance you would do a ranking video on easiest to hardest Villian to use so far with villianous?
Hey dude, do you have any ideas on how to protect (as well as the cards), the "Goal Tokens", since mine is half damaged and scratched. Do you think it is a good idea to put "cover them with contact" or something like that ... Greetings thank you
OO i have been looking for ways myself. i can think only laminating them. I use sleeves for the tokens that are card sized. but his goals are an awkward bunch.
Quick question if you finished one goal, for example have 10 ally strength in that location. If a player fates you and gets rid of one ally, which means you have less then 10 now. Do you have to accomplish the goal again? Or since u already accomplish the goal b4 being fated, you dont have to
Just sitting here with my fingers crossed that they’ll make a blue box expansion with Madame Medusa from the Rescuers as their token Oldie Villian . 👧🏼💎🐊
Your videos are excellent; good edition, so well structured and you speak a clear English. In Spain, we are still waiting for the Spanish version of Wicked to the Core... What envy to be able to play with these expansions :( Congratulations for your videos! :D Waiting for the strategy guide of mother Gothel!
David Jiménez wow Thank you so much. This just made my day. I wish I could help the games get to you sooner in Spain. But it’s so great to hear you enjoy my videos from there. Mother Gothell is next Monday :)
You're not playing the " Power Play" goal token right. The goal says to "spend at least 6 power IN ONE TURN while at that location". If you have THAT goal token somewhere that doesnt have 2 play a card actions, you can't just play a card with the cost of 3 and then end your turn, go to another location, and then come back to the location with the "Power play" token, drop another card with the cost of 3 and you complete it. Thats not how it works. You HAVE to spend 6 power IN ONE TURN WHILE YOURE AT THAT LOCATION. I hope you pin this and people see this so they play the game right.
ALSO! Another thing you didnt explain that a lot of people get confused with is when you use the "Play a game" card and you happen to reveal ANY number of bandits during that action, you not only get the power from the cards but you can ALSO PLAY THOSE BANDITS INTO YOUR REALM.
Haha I never say that you can play cards there the course of multiple turns. I try to keep these videos tight and effective. The way that I explain how to complete the goal in that entire sections shows that it has to be in one turn otherwise explaining the bandits would have been pointless. Also you would be the first to take what I said the wrong way. But I appreciate you trying to help others understand, but I won’t be pinning it as no one else has taken what I said the wrong way and if they did they can clearly see the goal token and it reads in one turn.
ESPguitaristozzy sorry I was unable to explain that concept, these videos are not rule videos. I expect people to read the rulebook. It’s not titled as a how to play. I just enjoy the game and hope it helps people think more critically on it. Thanks for watching!
I just got this game, so I am not proficient at the rules at all, but this was my main question. If the power play goal is at a location where you only have one play a card option, how can you possibly use 6 power in one turn?
@@ESPguitaristozzy I think you have misunderstood and misread the card "Play a Game". It actually states in the card "Gain Power equal to the sum of their Costs, THEN DISCARD THEM." So your comment about being able to play the bandits (as stated in your first comment) is misinterpreted. I am only leaving this comment here so that other people playing this game and character dont misinterpret the idea of the card.
Love your videos but, having been a teacher for 35 years, I have to correct some pronunciations. First, Podunk is pronounced Po (rhymes with go) - dunk. Second, Jalopy is Juh - LOP (rhymes with hop) - ee. Keep 'em coming.
Well if that’s all to be corrected after teaching for 35 years I think I’ll pay myself on the back. Cause yeah these phrases were well before my time. But I had look up the words after the fact lol.
@@LordoftheBoard it will be exciting to find out. Thanks for making your videos, they are most helpful and fun to watch. Best of luck to you and yours🙏🏻
While Pete is one of my favorite characters, I don’t think he’s very good. My main reason is solely because his one objective where you have to have three items on the same space is way too difficult to complete
really didn't talk about anything that you don't learn after playing pete one time. should have mentioned specific strategies like playing 3 (or 4) bandits in one turn and spreading them out over different locations to complete the Power Play goal and almost complete Rule the Realm. Or the fact that 3 of pete's goals say "start your turn" so these goals are better off completed before other goals so that you're not stuck with a "start your turn" goal as your last goal which your opponents can lock you out of by fating you every round. I've not been having luck with pete because of the "start your turn" goals being easily countered so I was looking for an actual strategy
I like how Everything about Pete is Black-And-White. Reminds me of the good old days of Disney, BEFORE they bought the rights to Marvel, Star Wars, and now Fox. Before they rose too high in Power.
@@LordoftheBoard Yeah, even if those Black and White Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts don't count as movies, I am happy that Pete joined the roster. He was Disney's very first Villain after all. Not to mention very first Animated Character if I recall.
