Was taking off at the lights when I can hear this lady scream, could not see this live, but upon checking my rear camera I can see that the Bike IT rider almost knocks a cyclist by touching her handlebars with the rear delivery box.
Learners should be concentrating on learning to ride safely & shouldn't be distracted by worrying about a pizza getting cold hence no tip. UNSUPERVISED LEARNERS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM UNDERTAKING COMMERCIAL DRIVING... LET'S LOBBY NOW FOR A CHANGE IN THE LAW
Learners shouldn't be allowed to work with a motorbike. Get a full license and be a professional. And also they should have a time limit to use a learning plate.
How many professional driving jobs can be done with a Learner driving Permit? These guys are a big danger to cyclists as they don't have much regard for traffic laws or other road users. At least with Uber drivers you can see them coming at you.
@SilvioDiego hate is a very strong word. I like some other cyclists believe ASL's are flawed. A cyclist refuge box several car lengths back would work better in my honest opinion. Speed limits are needed, however they are often set at an unrealistic level.
If the lights change to amber and any vehicle stops within the bike box it’s legal. If the lights are red nothing other than bicycles can use the asl. Bus lanes allow motorcycles as long as it’s signs show this, we have a bus lane by me which allows taxis and motorcycles but not cyclists as there’s a cycle lane on the pavement opposite for them.
no, a lot roll past the stop line into the ASL, i really don't care I share the road, but arsehats like this make me want to reverse my view - and I have the tech to report it but I would be reporting 100's a week. I have reported a few for blatant c*nt moves like the cock that undertook me then at the ASL berated another rider for saying something about him rolling in at red light and blocking them and that was a learner - was he lost his license due to that. ~Trooper
The fundamental problem is the wording of the Highway code, regarding clearance, “should”, so as long as he didn’t hit you, he is ok, because he gave you what he thought was reasonable and the Highway Code is a waste of time, unless he actually collides with you, when you would we likely be injured. So to be proactive, the code should state must or shall. 🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♀️
