Social media is not just a way to communicate with your friends, it's also a great self-marketing tool for those who want to know you better, especially if self-expression doesn't come to you easily in a real world. Especially if you're shy or simply introverted. I find instagram to be the best app for communication, people follow those who interest them and it's not creepy. Also, there you can show your lifestile, that you're interesting, fun... you complement someone on something (f.i. I liked to tell girls that I envied them for having a cat, and it wasn't a lie either). if they like you, you may add them on Facebook, where you can fill your interests like what movies, musicians... you like, also do explore some really meaningful movies - I think if you don't, you'll seem like a shellow person. More good movies/TV shows you watch and add, more you can talk about them with others. It's important to not fake your looks and also show yourself in a better light: if your face looks better from one side - show that one more, if you have a temporary spot on your face - remove it with the app, that's no cheating. At the same time try to show your positive aspects: smile, show yourself doing your favorite activities, and like I've said in a previous comment - pet a dog/cat, go on a hike, dress well. Definitely work out, to have a good posture, more confidence and a better built body overall that your photos will show. You should be authentic but you also need to adjust, find out what others are like and exercise openness, like psychologists call it. You can talk to different people of your interess to become riecher in understanding but don't expect anything special until you find a special person. You can slowly show people your quicks and if they'renot ok with what you're like, they can move on, you're better off without those people. I said don't expect anything special and that's until you find a special one, then you won't have to adjust any more, you'll already be diverse and experienced, braver to reach out, but you'll feel a relief in being liked with who you are, accepted with your quicks and all, not thinking too much about what and how to write... the two of you will just know. ;))

Some nice and common sense advice; let me just add that as far as Tinder etc. goes, girls on there are not much different from guys - afterall it takes two for any kind of mutual activity. Most girls i know that are on Tinder (honestly i barely know anyone who hasn't been on Tinder at least once or doesn't use it on a regular basis if single) look for the same stuff guys do, be it a one night stand, affair, relationship, whatever; i don't see much difference in behaviour in regards to gender really. That being said, i don't know if i really would even recommend Tinder as a start as it definitely has its downsides, one major being that you can quickly develop a false sense of "endless supply" as if humans were just something you pick from the shelf in a supermarket and there's the risk of basing your choices solely on superficial things like looks etc. It can become shallow pretty quick.

It's probably not good over the long run, though. I'm in my late 30s. Probably had four relationships and just banged out the rest with no real commitment. I mean it's fun, but if I'm not at all capable of committing I might be at the nursing home hitting on the nurses with my Viagra. 🤔 Ok, doesn't sound that bad, but you get the picture.
