The problem is that many of those ways you are getting bent are actually somewhat explainable. Higher taxes and less income always get explained away as necessary for the things you want, for example. The first thing politicians do if people complain about a tax raise is to cut spending on things the public absolutely needs. They cut spending on health care, road maintenance, public transport networks and public cleaning so the sheeple immediately have a lower quality of life and then they point to that and say: See? That's why you pay taxes. Nevermind that those same politicians sign their own paychecks and live in what amounts to mansions in gated communities with full pensions after a few years of service, overspending on hundreds of contracts because someone slipped them a cut. I think the reason he got so angry about this one is because that frustration of all the times he got screwed was in the background and this time there wasn't any rational excuse the banks could possibly give him. An electronic attempt to shift some ones and zeros failed and they charged him 45 bucks for it. No rationale, no excuse, just a big old fuck you give me your money. Sometimes it takes a really obvious hit to wake someone up.

Never understood people who spend money with bank accounts that low. See it all the time where a person in line ahead of me has no idea what their balance is and try and buy a coffee and find out they don't have 2 bucks in their account. Honestly if your living that close to the line you shouldn't be spending it on stupid things like Gym Membership. Go jog around the block or lift some jugs of water, it's free.

Banks are literally most of the reason why income is shit you idiot.

While better they still cause issues. My Credit Union doesn't charge me a monthly fee just for having my account like my old bank Chase did. On the other hand there is an over draft fee. Which is silly because they take the extra money from my savings account to cover it, but still charge me if it happens.

@islandman692k3 yup I mean I could understand if it broke that 6 transactions a month rule on a savings account (something they were able to wave for the current epidemic.....) but yeah. Charging you an extra fee to access your own money is silly.

Yes and no... I keep 2 checking accounts. One has no debit card attached, and thats where most of my paycheck resides. I transfer over to the account with the debit card so there's only about a hundred bucks in it at any given time.

Only thing I can think of would be renting, the initial investment would be through a bank. But once you have tenants it’ll be easy to save cash(if they pay in cash). I haven’t listened through the clip yet but thats the first thing to come to mind.
