Billy and Elton tell us the story of how did the met back in the 70's. Also they sing Piano Man, from their Face to Face tour in Tokyo Dome, Japan. 1998.
This song, I had heard it before. My Dad hit a big jackpot at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe. Asked for a comped room and other stuff, anyway the room was below the club and this song woke me up at 2am roughly and I have loved it since. I do call this a cover and it is brilliant!
Saw these two superstars in concert in Fargo, ND on 5-2-2009. One of the best concerts I have seen EVER! 3 1/2 hour long show....you certainly get your money's worth!
Billy Joel and Elton John together! How you going to top that? Phase-shifters...digital electronics..auto-tune...who needs all that? Just two pianos, a harmonica and these guys on the same stage is all you need! Awe inspiring performance!
I just saw these two LEGENDS of music in Foxboro a few weeks back... and it was untouchable... They controlled the crowd without the crowd knowing it, with their music. I've never seen anything so remarkable as when Billy took out the Harmonica and the entire stadium ERUPTED in cheering applause.
I saw the two of them in concert twice. Easily the two best concert experiences of my life! They are each pure entertainment. Together? It's hard to put into words.
I just saw them in charlotte this past weekend and the show was phenomenal. They are both absoluty class and two of my favorite musicians. The concert felt like it was one of those dreams that you cant tell if its real or not but reguardless you never want to end.
This sent shivers up my spine like you wouldn't believe. I love watching two massive stars come together to perform a song. Elton's voice is as good as ever live!
imagining a world where Freddie was still alive & all three of those piano playing, songwriting legends could do a concert together is bringing me to tears atm. lucky we still have these two.
This song is so fantastic... what a great tour! Is Elton John wearing a track suit? Not his typical flamboyant self. Still one helluvan entertainer! Two GREAT musicians!
They are such amazing musicians. Their voices have changed a little. That just happens when you age but sometimes their voices go back to what we all know and love. Like when Billy says piano. I love them both. Billy Joel, Elton John, and The Beatles are my favorite musicians.
I love the Japanese reaction, they just sit in awe a great performance, by two of the best pianists in the world, two legends on stage together, amazing simply amazing, I wish he toured one last time, so I can feel what they did that night.
Can you feel the love, man? How can anyone ever be mean or fight when there is this much love to be shared. Now if we could just apply this to ever part of our lives. Be love.
I saw this tour in Greensboro. They did this song at the very end and neither one of them sang but rather let the entire coliseum sing it. I still get chills thinking about that one. It was incredible.
amazing...breathtaking what else can you say I owe my whole music carrear to billy He inspired me so much when I was young and had the great honor to go on stage with him at the age of 13 thanks for everything billy!!!!
there is a special place in Heaven reserved for gentlemen like this. they bring happiness to all corners of the world...need proof? listen to that harmonica and the vocals that ring out strong enough to melt stone.
I am 34 and my husband thinks I am crazy. He would rather listen to more recent artists but I prefer the legends from the 60's and 70's. This has to be one of my ultime faves.
i saw Elton John and Billy Joel concert when they came to the Quest Center in 2009. it was aboslutly amazing!! and to see them in this video from 1998 in Japan is amazing!!! i'm 15 and i don't care wat ppl say, these guys are the best pianos i've ever seen. they're both my idols and inspire me to play! -hatsu94
i'm a musician pianist singer too.i think billy and elton are icons, they have established their own names for the past decades.they are both awsome and incomparable. it's like comparing cherries to strawberries or an apple to an orange.
gr8 gig that was lcr1955 !!!,we came all the way from the uk to see it !!!! and drove from chicago 640 miles, then back again via sioux falls,880 miles to chicago, but wasnt it an ass getting a taxi afterwards?? lol !!!,we went into applebees for a meal, and called a cab from there !!
I love the idea that these two piano greats exchanged songs...their teamup reminded me of the brief collaboration b/w Paul Simon and George Harrison, and they exchanged songs on SNL
I`m fifteen and I know when I hear good music and this is so GOOD like Wow what happened to the music these days . If I ever become a signed singer I would love if one of them can write a song with me :)
When I'm sad enough, I'm gonna play this song while drinking some beer... Just for a release... This is why the piano is my all time favorite instrument...
