I remember back in the day when they had only three tv channels and just about every show was worth watching. Today I have 300 channels and wind up watching what I use to watch on those three channels back in the day.😎
When the Flip Wilson Show came out you can't imagine the thrill , joy and excitement. We did watch his show every week. Flip could do it all, sing, dance, comedy & drama. He had some of the biggest stars of the time on his show. There where many variety show on television back in the 70's and Flip Wilson's show was one was one of the better ones. The man was a great entertainer.
He had. But you really need to see him with Bob Hope (especially in their road pictures). They were masters of ad libs and had great comedic timing. Oh yeah, they both can sing too, although it's obvious that Crosby was the superior singer
Innuendo, when the sharp witted Flip Wilson told Tim Conway that he took pride in his cooking and three years ago you wouldn't even be served here, when the audience got it and started to LOL, Conway got it and smiled looked up at Wilson with that one liner and held back from laughing his ass off with the genus and greatness of the comical improv of Flip Wilson. A Cook A Truck Driver & A Plumer, and as Bing said when he kicked the Jukebox, That One's Mine and it was ! I'll take yesterdays paper in my stew over the garbage of what's in the comics of today.. Great Posting !!
What a fabulous trio. They pulled it off splendidly. Watching this skit left me satisfied with resonating inner laughter and comedic warmth I haven't felt in many years.
Tim’s face at 3:07 is so great! He managed to get stumped and not break, not something that happened too often with him. Such a h genius. And I love Bing Crosby’s acting, White Christmas is one of my favorite movies. His improv is good too. “Peak hour?” I know he wasn’t a very nice guy IRL, but I do love him onscreen.
When Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night" was playing and Tim was about to kick the music off, Bing pulled him back and said, "No, this one's mine."" Hilarious!!
How cool is this having all three Flip Tim and Bing are on the same show in a skit ! I love them all ! Tim and Flip are funny and Bing has the voice but he can be funny too just see him on the JUdy Bing and Bob records !
I loved Flip from the first time I saw him back then . He was the funniest guy who just had a great personality. I first saw him on Johnny Carson telling his " Roman Herman" joke. I heard it once and never forgot it,ha was so funny I was almost in years.
Ah, back in the days of no China Flu and a burger for 40 cents! I remember riding with my Grandfather on a short trip in the late 60s or early 70s I think and we stopped for a burger and the price had just crossed over $1.00 which I thought was a lot back then! Now look, McDonalds burgers at $5 or more. Oh well. I remember Flip Wilson was a funny guy that I loved back then. And that singing guy he wasn't bad either! Too bad Tim Conway couldn't unleash 100% of his humor here but I'm certain with Flip and Bing as guests, the idea was to let the guests shine. Quite a treat here to watch these three greats! Thanks for the memories!
Flip Wilson and Tim Conway were the funniest and hilarious great comedians in their heyday. Bing Crosby was great in his day if he wasn't beating his kids. RIP to all 3 great men. Bing Crosby and Bob Hope were gr8 and wonderful playing together in several movies. Hamburger for 40 ¢, cheeseburger for 50 ¢, and deluxe burger for 70 ¢ were bigger, juicest, and better taste than nowadays. I will be 54 in December 2020. 🍔 🍴✌👍😎🇺🇸😋
Ayep. Even though it was decades after his peak as an entertainer. He even ended his life and career with a pretty big pop, with that duet he did alongside David Bowie
I noticed Tim almost lost it on that obvious ad lib by Flip! Probably one of only a handful of comedy geniuses who could turn the tables on Conway 😜😄😂!
