The dating by bank statement idea was neat, but then they showed basically half their body. Letting the person know their general fitness level, skin tone, etc. Basically introducing normal physical appearance into the dating aspect.

They should inspect their HYSA, HSA, 401K, Roth IRA, Brokerage Account, Consumer Debt, and Credit Score. That would be a more fair assessment of their financial literacy.

Slowly realizing I need to get a higher paying job if I want to even entertain dating as the only person funding the dating life. 55k a year seems to only take care of rent, utilities, food, transportation, and retirement. Oh and healthcare. For one person 😅 I wish I could spend like these people

Just depends on the lady! Some of my favourite dates have cost $0-$10….. hiking, sledding, camping, cooking together, puzzle nights. But I also don’t make much money (ton of savings and no debt but little income). The right person will value you and not your income, if that’s what you want

People don’t have a balance of everything. One person can be bad at saving and managing money. But can be better in relationships. One person can be a good parent but not a spouse and vice versa

The world isn't fair and balanced like that. Sometimes, I'd dare say usually, people who have advantages in one area will have advantages in others. Someone who is good at managing money, being conscientious, and being responsible is very likely to be responsible and conscientious in relationships as well. Contrapositively, someone who is abusive to a spouse is more likely to be abusive to his kids.

it’s perfectly understandable to have a standard that your partner be financially stable and good with money. It’s not a good idea to be with someone with debt they have little chance of paying off or have terrible spending habits bc it will add stress to your life and if you marry you will most likely be responsible for their debt too. Also a bad idea to be with someone who is a bad spouse (but sometimes people don’t find that out sooner) and also a bad idea to be with someone who would be a bad parent unless you guys are childfree. Running from the red flags is important and people get stuck in bad relationships bc they ignore red flags.

Anyone that tells you money can't buy happiness is lieing to you. If you understand the difference between assets and liabilities and being able to balance a checkbook at the end of the month, you will be happier. The rest of the equation comes with conversation and they will most likely be easy because you're not critically in debt with no way out.

@@GameTrailersPlus primarily menstrual and vaginal products, but even items like women’s razors, shampoos, and deodorant are marked up. Beauty products are a whole separate category, although they are some of the highest ticket items for some women.

They're not the exact same product that is being compared. But also higher demand from women in general as they buy more, so I guess some things can be marked up. Supply vs demand.

I’m crappy with money, but I’m faithful and loving. I don’t make a lot, but I’m paying off debt (under $6k total including school, credit cards, and medical), and have decent insurance through work and a 2019 car I like. My cat, Sailor Moon thinks I’m great 🥰

You can be total boyfriend/girlfriend material and be bad with money. But please, for your own sake, do not marry that person until they fix their finances. Don’t legally hitch your wagon to that horse. You’ll be on the hook for their debts and all your hard work can go out the window if they have a spending addiction, shopping addiction, gambling addiction or are just plan bad with budgets.

LOL, Not everyone is a Spoiled Child at USC. Here is a funny story though. We have a Doctor on staff that sent his three daughters to USC. These girls found money everywhere to be able to attend USC and walk away with very little in expenses. Its funny in that they could have afforded the tuition but because the Doctor and his wife are also frugal and wanted to teach their girls something other than they could learn in the hallowed halls of USC they put the girls to work at finding scholarships, finding other sources of money, finding jobs to help with their education. I have read other peoples experiences with attending SC and was amazed by how many found a way to attend with less money than the Spoiled Rich Kids SC is so very famous for. Fight ON
