Wish we could have kept Damon and dismissed Carey ! Never appreciated Jim’s comedy! I put his comedy on the same level with Donald Trumps politics. Glad his career was brief!
This was the best comedy show ever!! I was a freshman at college when this show came out. I was the only one on my floor in the dorms to have a TV…so on Sunday I would have 15 people crowded into my dorm room when In Living Color came on. We were as diverse as the show. White, black, Hispanic, Asian, Pakistani, even a Iranian and my room mate from Sri-Lanka. And just like the show we could make fun of ourselves and each other. No one got offended. Good times….we need MORE of that these days.
Could not have said it better myself! Bring back the time when comedy was edgy, unapologetic and actually funny. Back when we could laugh at ourselves and life without the backlash of hypersensitive chronically offended people. This show truly was an ethnic melting pot of real talent- something that I felt brought us together.
@@ItsAllLove4Real Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short, Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, John Belushi, Chris Farley, Chris Rock, Will Friedle, Eddie Murphy... all those people when they really got hot, they left. Hence in terms of bring in the funny, In Living Color brought it in droves. And they were fearless. SNL, same fearlessness but they had to be tamed sometimes. Edge: In Living Color.
SNL couldn't touch In Living Color. They are edgy. But it's like SNL is tip-toeing the subject matter thanks to Lorne Michaels. In Living Color was the Real Deal.
@@Epitin Thank goodness that I'm not the only person that recognize this. It's funny that it's because of the comedy shows Fox lasted this long. The are like Subway with their $5 Dollar foot-long deals until the put the price up... After that, you see their viewership went downwards.
Too many candy ass karens and snowflakes now that cant take a joke. Shitty parenting of Gen Z'ers who always whined because they got their feelings hurt and needed Mommy and Daddy to go to school for them.
My mom and I would watch this when I was in high school, we would die rolling laughing every week. She passed away 4 years ago and whenever I see these skits I remember them exactly and can still hear my mom laughing. It’s sad but also beautiful. That’s what laughter should do.
yes it did! they all went up from there... classic jim carey skit fire marshal bill lmao i remember "Moby Dick" skit when they would do review and say "HAAATEED iiiiT.... OR LOOOVED iiiiT" in sequence. and they gave it the "around the world 3 Z snap" lmao . l miss that show
If you didn’t watch the show the night before, there was no way you’d keep up with the conversations in school the next day. Everything was quotable. For it’s time and place it was perfect. Just perfect.
I remember finding the show on reruns when my kid was in her early 20s. First clip she saw was Handicap Man. "They were allowed to DO this?" That's nothing, I told her.
@@donniedemarco Definitely not as funny as the show. I would’ve loved it if they released all their screw ups from all seasons. Not just a few selected ones.
Man this show brings such nostalgia. I had no business watching this show as a kid but I would wait til my mom went to sleep and watch it on low right at the tv so no one could Catch me 😂
*Jamie:* (rubbing Tommy's back) You got to r e l a x x x , bro. And now I'm ready ta go *- Tommy:* I'm ready ta go, too. girl (Looks up at Jamie & flips out)
@@TerrorLaughterShorts 😂😂😂 the best one, IMO, is Jamie's original debut of Wanda during the Dating Game... if you can ever have a heart attack just laughing, that was IT for me, the first time I saw that: "Imma wear that sexy ling-oo-ree, so he can appreciate the centrifugal-ness of my body..."
Homey the Clown and Fire Marshal Bill were the two characters that always made me laugh the most. This show definitely helped to make Jim Carrey and Jamie Fox into big Hollywood stars.
I will never forget Monday mornings in the locker room @ 8th grade, all of us girls reviewing what happened the night before on In Living Color! We always knew the "snap" of the week from Blaine & Anton! What Fire Marshall Bill did The Head Detectives case. Even what song the Fly Girls danced to! The list goes on & on of the contributions ILC had to my early teenage laughs & memories!. It was definitely the best comedy sketch show of its time!
One of the consistently hysterical shows that ever aired. I always laughed out loud. So much talent and such incredible recurring characters. The best of the best.
I like the fact that the whole cast was together to present these bloopers. I think shows should adopt this concept and bring out specials at the end of the seasons with a collection of the bloopers. It would CERTAINLY be better than all the stupid game shows and 'reality' shows that infest the airwaves during the summer months.
I still remember being a kid not realizing watching these guys were watching living legends of comedy, such a amazing time to be alive and watching these for the first time lol 🤣🤣🤣
The greatest comedy show ever! 🤣 Had me and my brothers walking around the house with stuffed socks bopping tf outta each other talking bout "homey don't play that!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of The True Best Familys... Never sold their souls or sold out... Thank You Wayans Family 🙏🏿🥰... Yal Are Our True History of True Brown Ivory Isrealites. Yal represent Our Achievements As US👉🏿💯🤜🏿💥🤛🏿
Hmm...I somehow remember it being originally telecast on Sunday evenings for the first four years, with the final year moved to Thursday nights, unless you're referring to its run on syndication.
@@RandoLePerson and that just bummed me out…I’m 55 now. Where do we go from here? Jim retired from acting and Hollywood . Said he’s had enough! I’m at that point too…with people in general. Off grid in the bush with my moose 🫡 buh bye 🇨🇦🤣🤣. DoH..shit the bush is on fire..never mind
In Living Colour... the launching pad for dark, twisted, and amazingly high end bespoke comedy. Every culture, every race, every career, every social group, every body was lampooned and everyone seemed to get it, and love it... "hated it"... :) snap the fingers... it must have been a scream being on set, or more specifically, in the writers room. :)
They realized "Hey we're all Human and in this together!" The name "IN LIVING COLOR," was a perfect title for this show; it included Human beings of EVERY color!!!
I was in HS in the early 90’s. I never missed a show. Mondays at school we would all talk about it. Great times. So glad to be alive when this show aired. Kids nowadays will never know.
I always said the Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans so should’ve made a comedy movie together. It’s too bad there was never a rider who could write a script around those two together. would’ve been hilarious
Why the hell don’t they show reruns?? This was the bomb! Me an my kids used to watch this all the time! I’m always lookin for it but can never find it!! 🤷🏻♀️
It's note considered appropriate for these sensitive assholes of today. Handi Man, LMAO...Men on Films, Homie the Clown, Farrakhan, Brothers Brothers, what else im missing these lil sensitive bastards will holler cancel now days? I know I missing a reeeal good one!!!
this was a sunday night ritual followed by married with children. but in living color was ahead of its time and had an amazing cast and some of the best sketch comedy period.
Just absolutely the best!! I have asthma and I need to have my inhaler with me everytime I watch this gem😂. Can watch these skits over and over again. 🎉. Made my younger years memorable.
This was the best comedy show ever! Man, I didn’t miss an episode. Everyone was funny!!! 😂 They got to bring the show back with everyone, no new comedians
In Living Color is the greatest sketch comedy show of all time. Genius after genius. I would have like Aries Spears on ILC. He doesn’t get the respect he deserves. But truly this show is golden.
