Hell yeah it is. You know that thing put in work on Friday nights back then. Back when people used to still go out and race. Back when people didn't expect everything to be 1500hp like they do today, when it comes to really fast street cars.
The Foxbody was the only generation of Mustang I really liked. Same for the 4th gen Camaro's, though the older IROCs and T/A Firebird Transams were also pretty cool. Loved the older boxed S-10s too when people would put blown 383 strokers and stuff in em.
Hmmmmm, a lot of haters on here. First of all, yes mustangs are light in the rear especially notchback mustang s but this one had enough muscle to leave tread on the road moving. ? Hmmmm? Powerful comes to mind. I own a mustang and ss by the way haters.
im a ford guy but a light car with a not that big a tire and wrong suspension setup can do that with 450-500hp. early ninetys foxes with a vortech and 4.10s could do third gear like that with side stepping the clutch.
he never side stepped the clutch though. that was just pushing the gas peddle to the floor. I had a 92 coupe that would do this all day. So much fun! It did it once at 70 in fourth gear on nitrous. It had around 750-800hp and would boil radials. I do think how ever he did a great job of showing the difference between a breaking, clutch popping burnout and a rolling burnout.
I would be a passenger anyday with this guy and i dont know him from a whole in the wall... Gettin loose like that at that speed and holding it is seriously impressive, and his consistantsy on the track is on point too! sick videos and obviously sick ride.
nitrous, back in mid 80's my buddy had an elcamino, with a 355 small block, 700r4, and 3.73 gears and would do this all the time, i think he had 250 shot, fun stuff! awesome video man, brings back the memories
Very nice. My buddies Fox does the same with about 380whp N.A.. As a one up my un named car does the same thing too between 70 to 80mph @ 638whp. All you need is power, and not even as much as you would think. Nice clean fox you got there.
Ive got an AWD mercury mountaineer with a 5.0 and 9.5:1 compression. As of this moment shes not rolling but will be this weekend. Currently I'm just rebuilding the suspension and getting new tires. That being said I'm doing a valve body rebuild, replacing the clutch packs and the torque converter, and I'm swapping the differential gears from 3.73:1 to 4.56:1. It will do a 4 wheel burnout but only for 10 or 15 feet and it has to be from a dig. I'm hoping with the new components I can do a rolling burnout from a dig to 4000 RPM in second gear. Im also swapping the cam to something similar to an F-cam and Ill be running 36lb/hr injectors over 24lb/hr injectors with a methanol hookup. From there Ill either shave the heads down till I have a 13:1 compression ratio or Ill boost it and add methanol until I can run 32 degrees of advance. At that point it should be able to smoke the tires through third gear.
man that car has some serious balls under the hood, wish i had that torque in my 1990 Plymouth laser rs turbo, with a fully race built 4g63t , i mean ya my car accelerates like a bat out of hell but as far as driving on the freeway and downshifting, sir you take the cake, makes me wish i never got rid on my old 5.0
This is filmed in Vancouver Canada, they ripping over the Alex Fraser bridge. Heading over into new west minister/surrey. Cool to see my city back in the day.
This is my first Time seeing this many Haters....Lmao everybody is a mechanic now....but dont even own a stang who's car is perfect as long as he is having fun and comfortable with it....it is ok..now if he is Drag racing then yea everything has to be on piont....
I agree, everyone seems to be a couch critique with minimal street & Strip experience. I also play around like this on the street and enjoy lighting them up when I squeeze the throttle in any of the first 3 gears. When I put my track tires on at the track, there is no tire spin as we are there for the best time.
Funny... he put up a link in the description to a 9.05 pass and it gets ignored. When a car is knocking on the 8 second door and there's a comment of "9 second my ass!" it doesn't help a guy look intelligent.
The compilation video is awesome. Secondly, what ignition coil do you use? My MSD street fire is pretty good but I can tell it's definitely not enough.
sharpshootah88 okay, whatever, it was mis tuned! that iswhat i was told. that is when i learned about DSMlink for mitsubishi ECMs. and injector stuff and gauges.
Daniel Thomason so if that was truly the case😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, then it really must tick you off that CHEVROLET took a fomoco design and made it perform better, longer lasting, will be around longer than the original, and the best part is that it's used in more FORDS than the original.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When I was a kid this dude stuffed a 351 in a mustang lx she was a Beauty. He would be cruising main and apply brake pressure while burning out down main for couple blocks keeping it straight. That is a rolling brakestand and it was awesome
Mustang wins in sound, performance, speed, handling..... oh ya and not to mention ford are the #1 cars right now, pretty much kill all of their competition (Just Sayin not hatin) lol #LOOKITUPBUD
Also, this mustang is probably putting out about 600-800hp..... There's no such thing as catching grip on the street with that much power, NO MATTER WHAT TIRE YOU HAVE.... (Just Stating Facts)
well he is kind of right ford has more professional race win than any other manufacturer by a pretty long shot, i will agree though that ford does make some shitty cars though
Reminds me of a green 'Vette my pal Rollie owned. He would toss on his 10.5 slicks and proceed to smoke them starting around 90 MPH. The car had a 565 w/Brodix aluminum block and HH 383 heads. It was scary to ride in. Car's name was "Frog," and it was a local legend.
Is there a way to keep the cars from loosing traction? So when you stomp on it, the cars just launches into the future, instead of the risk of crashing.
holy wow!!! thats sick, that short of a wheel base, mad skill driving and keeping "mostly under controll i have a hard time keeping my big ass boat in line doing rollers, props man....
My old superchargerd '91 will do the same and believe me a rolling burn out wards off many a race before it starts but little do they know that with my stock suspension I could'nt hook in the 1st three gears to save my life.
It’s amazing that this “closed” course is made to look just like a public highway with stop lights and everything! Incredible. That had to cost a couple a hundred bucks to make?! Well, at least the gas did.
i know what you mean. sometimes when i'm mergingi'll be cruising along in 3rd waiting for an opening and if i just peg the throttle, the tires will break loose. it is fun but gets old...as the old saying goes "spinnin aint winnin"!
gotta love the disclaimer.. Public Roads with vehicles parked along the shoulder and going in opposite direction is NOT a closed course. So much for driving safe..
its called backfire just from back pressure that's why if you ever watch some types of racing like course racing and a car is at a high rpm or even down shifts but isnt on the throttle and the car starts to backfire the non burned fuel will re ignite from the temperature of the exhaust and make a flame shoot out every car does this if you have control of the gear selection it also can happen while up shifting but you have to be at a very high rpm
I can do that sometimes but my cpu has not been changed so the limiter kicks in and other shit. So it feels kinda random if or when it happens. I am tempted to mod the chip because sometimes it makes it feel as if the engine will stall.
I could be wrong but i think its from the crankshaft. if he was to rev the motor at a stop you would see the car lean right.(depending on suspension) If anyone could enlighten us that would be great.
Wait wait, just WAIT... A youtube video with a raunchy car and some actual GOOD tunes that dont blare over the sound that we're here for to begine with. The world to got a little bit better.
I had a 2 door 79 coupe and that is exactly how it acted. You had to wait till you were rolling or it would just sit and burn rubber going NO where!. But it was fun!
Ive watxhed this video a lot over the years. Its a damn good one. As for the difference between a brakestand and a rolling burnout... A brakestand a stand still burnout on the brakes. A burnout going from a stop and rolling out of it while still doing a burnout. And a rolling burnout is going from a roll and starting a burnout at speed. Rolling burnouts are the best. They demand respect.
It's really hard to clutch dump a stock 5.0 with a busted exhaust in second gear after breaking off the tachometer needle on the side of the glove compartment.
