Unusual combo in a 4 door E36 - Dakar Yellow AND a manual box. The E36 is a common sight these days, but people forget how revolutionary this car looked when it first appeared on our roads. It made the E30 I was driving at the time look very old fashioned.
I could have chosen just about any 3 series, I chose the e36 to have. Its the best looking without a doubt, and comfort to rawness ratio is just right. Exciting to drive and the 90s interior controls are refreshing and easy to use unlike most all newer cars.
Great work mate. Love those old E36's. Keep up the good work and congratulations on your first screen test. Let me know if you want to flog my Amarom through RNP.. it's almost as fun as a Tsi Polo 7spd.
My old 323i of this generation is 26 years old now and the catalytic converters are on their way out because the car pops and rumbles a bit on deceleration after a cold start now I understand that’s a sound people want their modern cars these days but my exhaust is complete stock standard
Loved the review, rare to see reviews on older cars and see the comparison . Would love to see how the VW Bora 2.8 4motion would stack up today . Or even how the older Subaru liberty GT and 3.0RB compare.
Well done and good work on your debut John! Whilst it isnt as well polished as Tom's videos, I am sure with the right equipment and with abit of time, you would make a great presenter for chasing cars! But yes, I noticed some audio issues, there is abit too much background noise for my liking. Especially when you're just standing by the car. I also noted a bit of static from the mic. Obviously, this could be solved with a bit of editing and better equipment. Camera angles could definately do some work, perhaps have the camera aimed higher so that we can see abit of the headliner in the back seat. Also, when you're presenting by the car, you could do with putting the camera closer so that more of the car and more importantly you, will be in the frame.
I think this is a really good review, but there are so many versions of the E36, so many different options for the interior, I think that is something that has to be mentioned... My E36 does not make any funny sounds or weird noises, it's even quieter than some modern VW Cars xD
