We're riding a round trip in Sweden, staying within the borders of Sweden, on backroads. Lot's of gravel and awesome scenery. Total of approx. 6,000 kilometers.
I'm riding a BMW R1250GS Adventure, Klim Adventure gear, TKC70 tires (Rocks on rear).

Another great series of video I'm looking forward to watching. I visited Sweden on the way home from Russia in 2017. I spent more time in Norway than Sweden but I met some very nice folk in Sweden. You need to come over here to Scotland for a bike trip.

Love the English vernacular; “dump,” think you have been telling us “fibs” that you were born/brought up in Denmark, more like born within the sound of Bow Bells (London or Surrey)? Sweden seems to be much better value for accommodation than Norway. Travelled to Norway a couple of years ago, no rain for three and a half weeks, 28C Lofoten Islands! Perhaps Sweden next time, recommendations, the bridge or ferry from northern Denmark? Waiting in anticipation for next episode. (fibs = white lies, [inconsequential].)

Hahaha, Thanks :-) ferry is always a nice way to travel. If you’re looking for endless forest and gravel you want to be north of Gothenburg. Kronoborg, Halland, Blekinge, and Skåne has nice places as well, but the north is less populated. Thanks for watching ☺️

Backroad Motorcycle Adventures Thanks for advice, ferry it is, might combine with info from your bike trip to Russia. Last time in Russia 1984 a few changes since then. Keep up the good work, J

How much reserve fuel were you carrying ? Would 3 liter be enough to be safe ? So you can reach a patrolstation? Or do you need more ? I can do 300 km on one tank if i am safe riding. But this could easily go down to 250 km. And i have been empty two times in my life and i won't ever have to experience that again.😬 All alone i had to push the bike for 3 km. Totally exhausted and broken down decided to leave the bike and walk on with a 1 liter fuellbottle. Needed to walk another 15 km. Walked back. Could almost not find my bike in the forest. Scared and in panicking mode i eventually did find it. It was getting dark. And before the days of gps. Thrown in the one liter petrol. Had to try starting the bike so many times that my battery died almost. Ride off to the petrolstation and had two walk another 2 or 3 kilometers because the one liter was not sufficient. The next day i decided not to ride because my whole body was in terrible pain from walking that great distance in motorcycle clothing. And my feet were bleeding on several places expecially on the backside of my feet because my mothercycle boots were not made for walking. O my god. How stupid can you be ? Bought in an offroadshop a white Acerbis tank. One gallon. And originally it needed to be mounted at the front of the forks. It also had a bracket for it. This was in 1979. From that time on it has been mounted on every motorcycle i owned. Sometimes on the inside of the left pannierbracket. Everytime i made a fix to get it there. Nice and sturdy. As a sentimentel reminder not ever never getting so stupid again. So would one gallon sparefuell be enough in all of Sweden ? Or is it wise to bring some extra ? Maybe a one liter fuell bottle?😇 These old bones can't walk that far anymore.😂 A great ride you had and nicely documented.💪

There are plenty of petrol station around Sweden, so you should be good with 250 km on a tank. But you obviously need to add petrol stations to your route. Most small towns have them. Running out of gas sucks. Thanks for watching 😊

Enjoyed your Sweden videos today, great to see you guys having fun on the big BMWs. I am planning my route through Sweden right now for my North Cape trip next year, do you have an advice on how I can find more of those easy hardpack gravel roads to add to my route?
