My theory is that Drake hit on her and made her uncomfortable. Something happened that night or shortly after she attended his concert. But I think she blocked him on social media which is why it looks like he also unfollowed her. Comments between them on Instagram also disappeared, which is what happens if you block someone. The hate against her due to the Drake fallout is ridiculous, and I hope she is doing okay mentally. People just love having a mob mentality, especially towards a woman. It's disgusting.
@@ToxicHAL Huh? I'm seeing both men and women attack her. Mostly from men though. The parasocial relationship these weirdo fans develop with their idols is hilarious. So because she had a falling out with their king Drake and because she is a woman, this vitriol is intensified.
She's hilarious and intriguing. Your complaining about her keeps her name in people's mouth, which will only further contribute to her success. So keep at it.
I agree. I love dry humor but her podcasts aren’t good unless the guest has a good sense of humor so that doesn’t make for a good podcast-ER if your ability to entertain is soely dependent on your guests ability to be funny and keep the conversation going w a girl who is being bland. Like it’s funny one time but for anything huge and long term is kinda meh in my opinion
I don’t find her funny either. I find the guests funny when they can continue on from her set ups. But I PERSONALLY don’t think what she says is funny, just awkward and it will then be funny depending on the guests response.
just a theory. Drake is soft and got offended at her looking bored at his show even though its her shtick, DMed her to remove the vlog and she was like okay no problem.
i think this was his plan to begin with, he wanted to help her blow up and get views. she made a comment to yachty about how drake didn't let her film the interview or keep any of the footage. drake was the owner of the video and sent it to her to post. then suddenly once the video blew up and gave her more opportunities, the video is deleted and gone. drake just wanted to help, but didn't want to leave the video up bcs her vibe isn't really his thing. that's my theory
@@glucglucxeh I doubt he would just help a random stranger out of the goodness of his heart…if he really wanted to just help her he would simply let her keep the video and own it herself. He saw something he didn’t like and probably wanted it down.
@@Signal_in_the_noise yeah but that's the thing i don't believe it was the kindness of his heart, what if it's just business, not to help her on a personal level but for business and he held up his part of the deal, with zero trace or commitment. this would kind of make sense why she would have "connections" to big celebrities right off the bat for her new podcast. again just a theory though
I feel like everyone is missing the most OBVIOUS possibility. The whole world was talking about the chemistry between Drake and Bobbi. Bobbie was not outright flirty but she asked if he thought she was attractive and he would sleep with her. Imagine your partner has that public conversation with Drake and the comments are full of things like “please get with drake.” Her husband is probably feeling some emotions to say the least. Bobbi is just a stay at home mom tiktoker turned overnight success. David reached out to her asking if she slept with Drake and it’s starting to cause problems in the relationship. She’s freaked out and trying to show her loyalty to her husband.
Everything i've learned about Bobbi Althoff over the last 24 hours has been against my will. Also why does it feel like the entire internet is pretending to know who she is?
Disagree. Calculated move. The views she’s getting now just by having that clout of having HAD Drake and then deleting it has already brought hundreds of thousands of new viewers - half of them Fupa Troopers. I think it was brilliant on her agency’s/Drake’s agency’s part.
@@brittc18and wasn’t she the one that asked him if she found him attractive, but If he said it, he’d be weird. Once again the little white girl is the damsel
Idk that she's explicitly been "planted" but she seems like someone who at the very least comes from a weird privileged background with industry connections
I saw a short that talks about Ice Spicy being an industry plant. The exact same thing happened with her as here. Went to Drake, his label tried to sign her, they unfollow each other. Exact same steps happened there.
Being an industry plant doesn’t mean you don’t make good content. It’s just means the industry helps your content blow up unnaturally for their benefit. Even this whole thing straight up echoing her name across the internet right now screams plant play for attentions lol.
yeah, it’s quite noticeable. maybe “they” shouldn’t make it that obvious lol! but whether you like her stuff or not, something doesn’t add up here. dem numbers be telling a different story, especially given the content.
The majority of the entertainment industry is like that, with a few shining exceptions. It has always been corrupt, the music industry is the worst example. The death clause alone is insane. It’s all over tiktok right now, artists that are instructed to film themselves in their cars or apartments dancing to their mediocre over-produced music, saying “I just made the song of them summer!” Or “I spent so long hoping this would go viral!” Meanwhile their ads are everywhere.
something else which imo lends itself to the industry plant theory is that her channel is essentially a US version of amelia dimoldenberg/chicken shop date, a UK podcast with a very similar style of interviewing and humour. it wouldn't surprise me if a random exec saw that being popular and thought 'maybe we just do the same thing with our own influencer'
I’m all for deleting videos. It’s your content and you can do what you want with that content. Unless you have sponsors or don’t have ownership of your channel then it’s whatever.
@@vaxxeenmtg9733people being bitter because their parents didn’t care to set you up is so funny to me. Like we’re bashing middle class Americans for giving their kids a good life now.lmaooo get fucked
Tyga was brought on because during her interview with Drake, he asked her if she knew who Tyga was and she said no, and then he played Rack City as a part of the bit.
It’s like the people who think she’s funny are being hypnotized into it. They just repeat “she’s funny, she’s funny” and the people who don’t get it don’t get it. I quite enjoy Caleb Pressley, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and Philomena Cunk, but I can’t name a single funny quote Bobbi has said yet.
@@giovanna12345 I named three other people known for their dry humor as an example that I already like dry humor. just think Bobbi’s brand of it is not good. For example Philomena Cunk is really really good and knowing when and how to “play dumb” for comedic effect. Bobbi doesn’t have the skill, she just knows to play dumb, but doesn’t seem to have figured out when and how it works best - doing it constantly won’t be funny, it’ll just be disengaging. So her “bored & disinterested” character is just bad.
caleb is legitimately funny. but shes clearly playing a character where shes as awkward and standoffish as possible and the whole shtick is to see the reactions from the celebrities.
No hate cause I do respect that she’s taking a new approach when it comes to podcasting and content creation, and I understand the appeal…but… notice how the only funny parts of the interview are things the guests say? I also just don’t think acting like an awkward npc will do great long-term. Props to her for not copying everyone else is doing though.
Eh, it depends man. Look at between two ferns. Although Zach was obviously more well suited and just a naturally hilarious guy even if he’s just mostly acting awkward. This girl definitely doesn’t hit quite the same as the really good ones.
@@beccabarrett10 agree with this, was first thing I thought when I saw her content. Also, Amelia mentions Drake in nearly all her videos - she wants a chicken shop date with him
Saw a story this happened because Drake played a track by Tyga and they had to delete the whole episode or face a copyright lawsuit... but seems far fetched
I’m sorry but seeing awkward and uncomfortable interactions make me very uncomfortable. I can’t believe people find humour in others’ discomfort. Or maybe I just don’t understand this type of humour.
Yeah. It's a style. The enjoyment is not coming from a place of enjoying people being uncomfortable, but almost the opposite. Like you're tensing up as if you're there, and the laughing is involuntary and cathartic to your own awkward experiences. And you know you're watching comedy so you feel happy about that. It's not for everyone, but it's also not unkind.
On the Rick Glassman podcast she mentioned she already has two strikes against her channel so my guess is that her Drake interview got a copyright claim for him playing Rack City. Dunno why they would unfollow each other tho
She was just on the BFFS podcast out of character. Now I want to go back to watch to see if there was anything I missed said about the Drake interview. They talked about it quite a bit and she was just on the Today Show and I believe GMA
Not Ethan saying that the pod has no inside jokes. Half the pod is inside jokes! Is it still accessible to newbies? For sure. But there are Hella inside jokes on this pod. 😂
Fr every soundbite is basically an inside joke. I'm not an avid watcher and it annoys me to no end when I can't figure out where every bite came from lol
I really can’t with her though. I love dry, sarcastic, awkward humor (BIG Amelia/Chicken Shop fan). But, this girl gives me bad vibes and seems really forced in her comedy. Any funny parts of her pod came from the guests, not her. 🤷♀️
ethan doesn’t see the twitter and instagram side where meme pages are posting her as a industry plant and joking about how her dry huh our is bad and how she might’ve copied another girl who does dry humor named amelia i think. so she’s getting a lot of hate and that might be a reason drake didn’t want anything to do with that
I’m certain that drake probably acted inappropriately towards her, he’s a big creep it’s what he does. Why else would she remove her most successful content
Aside from other ideas, thinking as a mom, if she found out about some of his lore with underage girls, it was a “no this is a liability and he’s gross”. Doesn’t have to be that but that’s what I’d do if I were her.
@@dipset4016 How tf is this unsubstantiated? Have you been living under a rock? Have you not seen the videos of him kissing an underage girl on stage or texting Millie Bobby Brown and if I remember correctly Billie Eilish as well. And this is the shit I can think of off the top of my head. There has been talk about this for YEARS
@@dipset4016 Your last sentence is a fallacy. So many people still support Chris Brown and he’s beat the fuck out of women. People still support Dr. Dre and he’s such a terrible person it’s unreal
I think she posted on her story that she had a big announcement coming next Monday at 9am … I’m thinking publicity stunt and maybe a second interview with him??
I honestly think in the interview w drake there was a line crossed and they were in a bed together and she was asking if she was his type and she’s Litterally married w like 2 kids that’s so messed up that probably has something to do w why she deleted it.
Didn’t she say something about him filming the episode or he owns the footage somehow? With the fact that she’s said she hasn’t made any money on the podcast makes me believe that it’s an issue to do with ownership of the footage
His team has the ownership over it but it’s not for the money, he obviously let her take all the money cause it’s her show and channel. Why would Drake even need money from a RU-vid video
the part about the stairs and the apartment, earth shattering. ethans giggling like hes watching dumb and dumber holy shit. whip it out man start cranking already.
I really think it’s stupid that people think she’s an industry plant. It was just said that she is a comedian and clearly already had a career. We’re in the era where anyone can be an over night sensation, clearly her genre of comedy resonated with people enough to give her a huge platform, which got the attention of people like Drake and Lil Yachty. Now as for the Drake situation, he either tried to hit on her or she simply blocked him trying not to make her relationship with her husband complicated. The conspiracy theories are annoying
I'm wondering if it was about money. Purely speculation, but money talks. Maybe once the videos of Bobbie's interview with Drake blew up, either Drake or his team realized that she was making money from them, and they wanted a cut. She could have deleted the videos rather than leaving them up and compensating Drake (he obvi doesn't need it), and if something like that happened, I can't see wanting to be associated with him. Or maybe he was creeping on her. She even kinda looks like Millie Bobby Brown and looks very young, which he seems to go after. Plenty of guys don't care if you're married or in a serious relationship, which I'd imagine is especially true for celebrities with a huge ego used to getting what they want.
And the second part about creepiness and stuff is absolutely ridiculous. Y’all so delusional to actually believe Drake would get outta his way to try and hit Bobbi lmao? Be reasonable for a second of ur life. The most logical answer is she tried to hit at him after his concert, and he didn’t like it. Moreover, their interview was filmed by his people and reviewed by them before releasing it, so he is the one who probably deleted it from her channel because it doesn’t make sense for her to delete her most popular podcast that was already over 11m views just after one week. The other two possibilities are he either hit her and dipped making her mad or it’s just a publicity stunt (a productive one if it really is one)
i feel like it could be a combination of the two. maybe drake was using his power against her and she felt the best thing to do was to delete all her associations with him.
With the amount of money drake bas I rlly rlly doubt it’s a money issue and he wanted a cut….man lives in a billion dollar house. Also I believe drake and his team are the ones who owns the footage.
I love Ethan but stuff like this just comes off as virtue signaling to me. Yes women are funny, this one really isn’t I’m sorry she’s a rehashed version of the British girl who does the chicken shop dates
My concern would be something inappropriate happened but I think she mentioned that she wasn’t signed or making money. Maybe she signed to someone who couldn’t agree with drake’s management or something
im so sure it's because drake hit on her - remember what happened with ice spice and millie bobby brown - he has a type. Bobbi Althoff posted a TikTok on August 13 of her at Drake's concert in Los Angeles, the same day that they "unfollowed" each other and all their comments on each other's stuff was scrubbed. I think he got blocked for being a weirdo.
I think what happened is she had original success organically. Then she did the Reach out to celebrity thing. Then she met drake. He probably tried to recruit her for like bigger stuff. You know how Hollywood is. Like maybe some parties she wasn’t interested in. Or some kind of label deal for the podcast with weird conditions. The industry really is whack so maybe she just didn’t wanna help make him look good if he came off weird to her by trying to get her to sign to his label or something. Kind of like the weekend in the show the idol. Like it be like that with NDA’s and stuff. So maybe she got weirded out and decided “nvm I don’t want anything to do with the 1% or at least that part and that type of the 1%.”
In the yachty video. She said drake wouldnt let her record the footage herself. And on facetime with yachty, drake told her he "accidently" deleted the footage.
And second of all, Drake films and edits his own videos. So all interview footage belongs to him. He even jokes about it in the yachty interview with Bobbi
My take, This is because she was in her idgaf character for the sake of attention during the concert so to keep it simple, this caused a backlashed with drake feeling disrespected… It doesn’t give a good impression to your loyal fan base that someone isn’t vibing to your music knowing very well you’ve helped play a part in their rapid success of growth If she can act like that in drakes concert and millions of Bobbi’s fans that perhaps maybe never heard of drake then what indication/narrative does that say about drake? Bottom line It’s just disrespectful and goes to show you don’t have to play character every time for the sake of views, have some humanity people she should be grateful drake offered her an easier path but she decided to play the prestige role
That is her brand tho. And it was for one tik tok. I’d be surprised if Drake didn’t understand that. I doubt that was the reason the video was taken down
At minute 55:19 in her interview with Lil Yachty, you can hear Drake say he just deleted their whole interview by accident. why is everyone saying she did?
He played tygas song rack city. And told tygas label to copyright strike the video so she can’t monetize it so that’s why she took it down instead of paying Tygas label…. Allegedly
My brain automatically goes to cheating… she cheated and she’s deleting everything for her husband. But we’re just getting off the Ned scandal soo I can’t help but think about is.
Drake is known to be a pretty fragile man ( like a lot of men who are celebs and millionaires). I havent watched the whole thing but I think I saw a clip where she made a joke at his parenting or something? Maybe thats why they had a falling out.
In her TikTok highlight of the interview with Lil Yachty he’s FaceTiming Drake and Drake says he just deleted their interview lol. Related? I dunno 🤷🏽♀️
Lol he either thinks it was weird and deleted it or he jealous about her being with his homies. Lol. Seems like he’s always falling out with new girls coming in lol
