But yes the reason Hasan is defensive about this topic and XQC is because he sometimes just sits watching somebody else's video eating or chilling, and sometimes he leaves videos running to entertain his audience while he is away from the computer. The issue is that they benefit from being online as long as possible because twitch only promotes your channel if you are live. Rather than risk losing viewers and going down in the rankings they keep broadcasting beyond the time they can create good content and so take other people's work to boost the quality of their streams while they get some down time. It's unfair on the original creators and it's unfair on their rival streamers.

I took adderall for my ADHD but it never made me act like that, (xqc) with someone with ADHD it calms that person down, XQC, if he is taking adderall it seems recreational (needing it to stream 12 hours etc) instead of using it for it’s intended pharmaceutical purpose which mellows someone which ADHD down.(edit) even on high doses of adderall (90mg) when I abused it I was still more mellow then XQC, also I’ve never built a tolerance for adderall and I took it for 2 years straight, but I was on extended release, also I never had withdraws from it

Hi, could you please offer me any insight into how to best calm someone with ADHD? Someone I love has it severely and doesn't take his meds and is really resistant to treatment, he's really phobic of being "crazy". I'm really kind to him all the time I'm patient I give him alot of understanding but he cant control his anger or impulses, his anger is so out of control and hurtful that I'm mentally ruined from it, and his impulses have led him to do things he regrets. Im a counsellor myself and I have mental health issues myself nearly my whole life so I really do treat him calmly and peacefully always even if he'd extremely angry. I can't get through to him, he knows he's out of control and on the other hand he's really hating the idea of treatment and views it as insulting and he blames me for his actions. I know these aren't predominantly ADHD symptoms and he has an anger issue but his ADHD really does bring him out of control and if there's any suggestions you have on how I can help him please share them. I'm at my wit's end 😢 and I'd never discriminate against him or be cruel to him, I'm his wingwoman in life and support him all I can, but he's not calming at all and his ADHD has become extremely severe 😢 when he took his meds he calmed down so much and I saw the real him, but he doesn't accept any kinda help or treatment and Im his supporter and care for him so much but I can't force him 😢

@@Shannon-vv6rr You can’t help someone that won’t accept help. If it’s an option for you (living situation wise), I would highly recommend starting to distance yourself from this person. If they ask why you’ve been becoming distant let them know it’s for your own mental health. If they want to spend more time with you they need to start taking their mental health seriously because it’s only going to get worse if they don’t. If they at ANY point try to manipulate your emotions by proclaiming abandonment or calling you a fake friend or ANYTHING like that, please just leave, you don’t deserve to be treated like that, it’s completely unacceptable and quite frankly vile. I know it can hurt to let people go but sometimes that’s all you can do. Here’s a little mantra that I think might be useful for both you and your troubled friend in different ways: “Mental illness is not your fault, but it is your responsibility.”

I will say as someone who also is medicated for adhd at first I did think I was more anxious on it and then I realised oh my elevated heart rate isn’t anxiety it’s just the fact my meds are stimulants and then when I worked out what my heart was doing all of the feelings of anxiety went bc I knew what the physical sensation was (I don’t easily connect the dots on physical stuff which adhd meds actually help w bc of the fact they’re appetite suppressants as well I can now recognise what I’m actually feeling and eat and sleep regularly) it’s like I’ve never felt a huge Up or even the like zombie state other ppl have said they get on meds it’s only been like oh I feel in control and engaged for once it doesn’t fix me but it certainly makes me feel capable of existing better

as someone with adhd stimulants can be addictive for people with it too, the key is just starting low with the dose and giving yourself time to get used to it because you have to find the correct range. stimulants are absolutely something people with adhd can abuse, a good example is caffeine and nicotine. they’re not meds but people with adhd abuse those frequently

Having or not having the condition has no effect on how addictive it is. When used properly it still can be habit-forming. Youre taking it every day, your body is physically dependent on this medicine to function normally now. Its a great and helpful drug, changed many lives for the better, but people need to take it more seriously.

@@madsterification Not correct. You don't have to take it every day if you don't want to. You can skip days, weeks, months. The drug fully metabolizes within about 6 hours and does not require to be held at a certain level. A lot of people just choose to take it every day because they feel more functional in their day to day life. Which is not an addiction but an aid. Overdosing it however can form an addiction.
