Hong Kong fresh tomatoes taste too acidic, better effect using canned Italian plum tomatoes, most important to stew in oven to have the oil from tomato sauce
Ingredients:
Ground pork
Ground beef
Bacon
Onion
Mushroom
Carrot
Celery
Flat parsley
Garlic
Canned whole plum tomatoes
Sauce:
Ketchup
Red wine
Olive oil
Black pepper
Dried chilies
Mixed herbs
Fresh milk
Lee & Perrins Worchester sauce.
Step 1
Heat oil, fry ground pork and beef till meat separate.
Step 2
Heat oil, fry sliced mushroom, add garlic salt, black pepper and mix.
Step 3
Fry fatty bacon parts first, add lean parts, black pepper and fry.
Step 4
Fry onions in hot oil, add already fried fat and lean bacon bits and chopped garlic.
Step 5
Add ground meat, red wine, black pepper, after wine evaporates add dried chilies, stem parts of flat parsley, mixed herbs, canned tomatoes, diced carrots and celeries, hot water, sliced mushrooms, salt, ketchup, sugar, milk, and mix well.
Step 6
Put into oven for half an hour; adjust seasoning and put back into the oven for another half hour.
Step 7
Take sauce out of oven and sprinkle flat parsley’s leaves on top.
