Guess it's that time of year. The Bachelor contestant apologies are already rolling in. Who will join Jacob and Hayden as the summer goes on?

This might be a controversial opinion but I don’t fault Logan for accepting Rachel’s rose. She’s made it really clear that the public rejection was humiliating for her. I think him sitting her down one on one to explain he feels a connection with Gabby seems like the best option. He didn’t get time to do that because the cocktail party got canceled and we all know producers decide who gets time when. I think he would’ve been seen as a bad guy either way and I think it’s nice that he at least is not humiliating her the way the other men did. Not the best move but given his options I get it

I don't think I've disliked a contestant as much as Hayden. So many red flags to count, but seriously leaving your dog that you supposedly love so much, who only has a few months to live to go on a show. Then taking his cancer toy to show off for sympathy. Urgh, but the way he talks about Gabby and Rachel to the guys in the house is just so... ick, bad vibes all around

Ok I know this episode was crazy BUT who else really loved to see Gabby get so emotional after her date 🥺 like you could see how grateful and hopeful she was and I loved that for her!!

Spot on about the dog. I was so confused why Hayden expected that to give him brownie points - how was leaving his dying dog and taking the toy that calmed the dog during treatments away supposed to make him look good in the first place?

“Ur kinda reserved” and he’s like “oh that? yeah that’s due to my anxiety from my childhood depression” 😂😂 omg so relatable lmaoooooooooooooo sorry why did this make me laugh so much😂 I only watch these recaps so this just slapped me in the face lol😂

I feel really bad for Rambo having Hayden as an owner. 😭

Jason is absolutely gem in a sea full of overgrown frat boys( except nate) the fact he's overwhelmed at the house shows he's not the typical bro who just wants to flex, and chill out. I hope he's the one gabby picks.

I love how we finally got the first "can I steal you?" moment this season from Tino and it came off as more of a "can I save you?"

Jason was such a standout. Watching his and Gabby's date made me cry. Gabby is a special person and so is Jason. I hope they end up together but if they don't, Gabby is a great reminder for men who feel discouraged, that there are great women out there. Jason is a great reminder for women feeling discouraged from their past experiences with men, that great men exist. Jason and Gabby might be the most genuine people to ever be on a reality tv show. Rooting for them both.

I think Jason’s personality is a great match for Gabby’s. They balance each other.

I feel their Paris dates Jason and Tino could turn out to be their final picks!

I felt for Rachel during that insecurity spiral - I, too, have made up stories in the absence of information and then had strong emotional reactions to them. But...girl, you're falling for the producers' BS! The men really didn't do anything wrong, and do you really want professions of emotion that come because you went off on the guys?

I thought Hayden was so sweet when he gave Rachel a birthday card the first night and thought he was a keeper. He turned out to be a real jerk, including leaving his sick, dying dog behind for a chance to be on television. He obviously wasn't there to find love.

I do really love Rachel and Gabby and love that they’re both the bachelorettes, but I do feel like we as viewers are getting cheated out of really getting to know the guys just because of time constraints for each episode (like missing most of Gabby’s group date). Also, I 100% agree that if my dog only had a couple of months to live, ain’t no way would I leave them to go on a show.

I think the episode would have gone better had they switched the dates. Gabby would have had some great commentary at that love lesson date and I think Rachel needed her guys to show they were there to "fight" for her.

Is it becoming a thing for every Bachelorette to have a "why aren't the guys noticing me?" moment? There was that one with Michelle on the sleepover date, one with Gabby last week and now Rachel. Although all three women's feelings in those situations were totally valid and genuine, it now it feels like the show is trying to contrive moments like that.

I didn't like hayden ,and didn't buy his sob story I think he's rude, class less ,and wasn't not there for the right reason I'm so happy Rachel send him home.

Really feel like the producers are manipulating Rachel like they did with Claire, playing on her insecurities 😭

There’s no way Rachel wasn’t told by producers that attending Gabby’s group date would give her time with her men, whom she hadn’t seen in a while. There’s no way Rachel’s men weren’t told this was a group date to only watch Gabby’s date and couldn’t talk to Rachel.

I feel like Rachel was really channeling her inner Claire this episode

Ok I have something to say about Rachel’s insecurities that showed during Gabby’s group date. My gut reaction was to get annoyed that it isn’t her place to feel like this because the date was for gabby and her men and it does show how needy Rachel is BUT I thought about it some more and there’s some things to consider before bashing Rachel’s topsy turvy emotions: one, she hadn’t seen most of her men since leaving the mansion so she probably was super excited to see her group, only for them to be brought in to watch the main attraction which was Gabby’s group date. Two, she even said in the episode she recognizes that the position she was in it brings out this neediness and insecurity of not feeling chosen so it’s not like she isn’t aware of this, and three, we are watching these episodes with time in between them while this is happening for her seamlessly. Rose ceremony, leaving the mansion, Paris date, and then Gabby’s group date. While I do think Rachel needs more emotional validation from her men so she can feel secure, I don’t think it’s worth all the bashing she’s getting for showing how she felt in this moment 🤷‍♀️

I think Jason will be Gabby's final pick based on his night portion conversation with Gabby. Supposedly Erich wasn't silent last week when Gabby broke down so I think the editors purposely cut out his response to contrast with Jason's insightful response and show they have a deeper connection.

I think people are being way too hard on Rachel. This two Bachelorettes format is obviously emotionally taxing on BOTH girls because it's been set up horribly, but Rachel is especially sensitive to it because of the string of rejections in the previous weeks. Also, filming this show seems to be a very isolating experience and much of the time is spent with producers who pretend to be your friend but are only really just doing their job - which is to get a strong emotional reaction from you. Put all of that together with a tendency to overthink things (which she seems to do), it must be EXTREMELY exhausting and in turn causes outbursts of emotion that she probably can't even control or rationalize. I've never seen a lead so candid about having "a lot of really bad days", especially so early on in the season, so it seems like Rachel really is just struggling so much. I can't comprehend people who are calling her narcissistic, attention-seeking, whiny, etc.

I know some people blame Rachel and some people blame production but I think the whole drama is a combination of both. Like production shouldn't set up all these scenarios to break her down but at the same time if she were more confident in herself she wouldn't let things like that get to her.

I don't think it was a lie I think Logan was actually kept from Rachel for more drama. I actually think he didn't want to make Rachel's night even worse. I don't think he's a fantastic guy but I don't think he was purposefully trying to make this go on even longer I think he really wanted to tell her.

The editors/producers are really giving Rachel the short end of the stick here. I’ve seen soooo many people complaining about Rachel being “too sensitive” and how she “made Gabby’s date about her” as if Rachel is in the editing room choosing to add in all those clips to this episode, and as if she chose to be at Gabby’s date at all. And as if she hasn’t just spent months on a tv show meant to break contestants for maximum drama. God forbid she be emotional during all those hours on camera 😬

The Louvre, Chateau de Versailles, French cooking class, cute cafes with eclairs and croissants, the French Riviera, Cannes, Champs-Elysees, Notre Dame Cathedral, the gorgeous countryside, the Burgundy region, Normandy, Dunkirk, the French Alps... No, let's do boxing and sniffing armpits.

Maybe it's just the filming and editing, but it apppppppears to me that Rachel was willing to overlook Hayden saying rude shit to Gabby but once it was about her she was like "nah he's done"....?

Just an FYI, trauma bonding is a term for when someone has an unhealthy bond with a person that is causing them trauma, not two people finding comfort in having mutual traumas.

I know exactly why Rachel was upset. I would’ve been too. I get the focus was on Gabby, that’s fine but these guys has so little time to make an impression, they could have winked, or waved, or even all as a group done something cute for her. Like done a synchronized kiss to blow to her. I would literally have been so hurt too. I get her feelings but I also don’t blame the guys, they’re watching their buddies fight. Of course that’s where their attention is!!!

If Hayden really did take his sick dog's favorite toy and bring it to the show, the dog deserves to see a real dog-lover kick Hayden where the sun don't shine.

Fun fact, I heard ALL this tea on 4th of July weekend sitting on a beach, a girl there was haydens ex gfs cousin (the ex he said had better boobs) and according to that girl, he ghosted her to be on the show telling her he was working (lmao) and he did it again to go to paradise too. I think overhearing that convo was the highlight of my summer😂

2 words for this episode: Awkward and cringey. Thanks to Gabby for holding it down. Sometimes, Especially in such a strange environment, you gotta give a dudes a hint. Rachel could have walked over to her guys and said something before crying over the confusion. They probably were instructed to watch and got all excited to see the boxing. Which we as viewers saw practically none of. You gotta give dudes a hint before flying off the handle. HAYDEN IS A TOOL. That is all.

I think Rachel needs to grow up. She wasn't getting kissed the first night and she almost went off the rails. It figures the first guy to kiss her is her front runner, she thinks this should be all about her but it the guys journey too. She is too much into the power of it and not the equality of falling in love. If her guy doesn't kiss her butt, he better be wary.

That always sunny clip was absolutely perfect for the Logan scene 😆

The guys came as an audience to the group date. I get Rachel wanting attention, but I wish we could’ve seen more of the actual date instead of Rachel being upset.

Who wants to bet that Rambo is doing just fine, and Hayden made up that story only to score points? I truly hope I'm right, because who would be so cold hearted as to ditch their poor, beloved companion to be on a stupid dating show???

Last week I cringed in previews seeing Meatball snitch on Hayden. After seeing Hayden on the full two hour episode, I am more understanding for Meatball outing Hayden. I can’t stand snitching but it was constant from Hayden and not a one or two time thing. I’m cool with Meatball exposing Hayden.

Week 2 of me voicing the same opinion... I wonder what's upsetting Rachel more about this group date? the fact that the guys won't make eye contact through a literal ring of fighters jumping all over the place... or the fact that Gabby has been able to foster much deeper connections with her men and seems to be having a better time? With Rachel, it's all about Rachel... Gabby on the other hand wants to hear from the guys and get a sense for who they are... creating better connections and a more enjoyable viewing experience because you're actually invested in who she end up with... Frankly, at this point, I dont really care if Rachel picks Tyler... or Zach... or Tino. But Gabby and all her matches seem so compelling to me. Gabby👏 should👏 have👏 been👏 the👏 sole👏 bachelorette👏

I get why Rachel would be upset after the boxing date. When a relationship starts and you are really into someone you can’t help but want to talk to them when you are in the same room, or at least look at them. So I get how being completely ignored by guys who are supposedly wanting to be your partner would be hurtful and make you question if they really want you.

As someone who recently and unexpectedly lost my childhood dog (my baby!) I didn’t realize how hard it would be to grieve for an animal - that whole conversation made me boil go on the bachelorette next year… Dogs literally give you their whole heart and world and the least you could do was be there for your pup when he is scared and in pain. Sigh… that is all, I am probably overreacting but goodness that was such a gross move. Edit** also I get that some ppl don’t care about dogs but then don’t act like youre heartbroken about it with your scrapbook and dog toy.

It feels like gabby is finding honest authentic connections and rachel wants to like what she hears. Rachel is romantic and gabby is pretty practical. I wish the best for both of them and i hope rachel can get her feet back under her and not fall for the guy who tells her what she wants to hear.

Ugh that was such a disgusting display. You can tell by his reaction that he had absolutely no remorse and still thought he "did nothing wrong." I know this show cuts a lot out and only highlights the drama they want to, but fact is he still said those things and showed zero respect for Gabby and Rachel.
