@@AmCzAmBz yep, I got quite a few of those losers ranting "cheating" when I blank shot them in smoke, around the edge of islands, or just the corner of map etc. That felt so good.

Works pretty well for cruisers, and a lot of DD's seem to keep their AA on too. At least it tells me if the player understands some of the deeper systems in the game if their AA is off. I also do this with Fighters/Spotters if I need an enemy ship to be spotted early, or to see if it is hidden nearby. Spotted a lot of battleships as they go around islands like that.

as a rule of thumb, I always keep my AA off, if detection is inevitable, I open up the moment i get detected just in case there is a chance that the plane will veer off to another detection instead. DD AA are barely useful most of the time anyways.

When someone calls me a hacker in an online game i usually tell them that indeed, im a hacker, im able to use my brain...

next ranked WONT have submarines ... actually its better than random . Unless you love playing against subs.

Huh? No, just no. 4:36 The Thunderer was on 51,436/82,900 hp, so 62% He blapped her to zero and his damage counter went up from 65,581 to 117,017, which is all she had at that time.

He actually did 50k+ in that salvo, and didnt get the devstrike. He had about 65k, then 117k after thundy died. I am not chastising you, for it is understandable seeing that 39k pop up, just correcting you.

Definitely the right choice by you.

Are you playing Ranked? In Silver league you make 800 or more steel every couple of weeks (every Sprint), just by winning a few games: I think it's 200 steel for 3 wins, up to 4 times, then you get 400 doubloons and some nice camos. If you rank out the league you're in, it's another 200+200. Bronze has a lower ceiling, but it's more steel and dubs nevertheless. I've barely ever played Clan Battles, too, but just from Ranked and some supercontainers I have now Shikishima and Plymouth (with the coupon, both times) and I'm close to a third ship in December.

In gold ranked you - just for first 15 victories - you get a 1000 steel. Every 14 days. And yes, 800 dubloons extra, too, so for total of 26 victories it is really good value out of them. And I don´t know if you know, but now you don´t need to wait after qualification, so you can run through bronze+silver+gold in first 14 days (it will be a hell of a grind, I know) and collect all levels at once and you will remain in gold league for the rest of the season with only need of getting those 26 victories to this reward. Of course you can rank out if you´d like, but hey, no need to if you don´t have time and player level ;)

depends if you are newer player or old. If new don't buy captains they are super expensive and their skill wont even work in clan/rankeds battles. If you have tons of T9/T10s for coal ... you should get Kuznetsov -> Lutjens - > Sansonneti (crates are for coal)... rest is okay but not as good.

maybe i can help :) its pretty straight forward for the most of them in my mind: 1) If you do play clanbattles and miss some of the good coal ships for it (moskwa e.g.) get them first. the captains dont work in clanbattles. 2) If you have all the coal ships you want/need you might consider getting the coal modifications. for 1 legendary captain you get 10 coal modifications, like the radar mod. They have vastly more impact and they do work in competitive modes. 3) if you decide to get an improved captain, it absolutely depends on what you play. -Günther (the german one) is great on basically any german ship including CVs. Good skills, and easy to activate talents. Ofcause he is "most useful" on the secondary BBs, but really the talents are good for all. -Yamamoto is great because its free. You get it for playing the game, so get it. Also first strike talent gets activated easily and the improved skills are good ones. Train it for BB if you put it on a techtree ship. - Kusnezov is probably the best talent in the game. Extra consumable for first blood is great, especially on russian BBs. And the "save the day" heal and DCP activates automatically. A considerable downside though is, that his improved skills arent all that useful. His talents are best on BB or stalin/petro/moskwa. But his improved skills dont really offer anything for them. So in CB for example he is completely garbage. You´d rather have the seasoned captains (the ones for 1500dubs/35k coal) then. -Halsey is free. Halsey is great. get halsey. Put it on anything really that you play most on the americans. If you are a lucky guy and own some of the american secondary BBs, make sure NOT to train him for montana/vermont, since you want different builds on that. I recommend Desmoines. Also the seasoned captains (george and jon doe) are way better for montana and vermont. you can get one from a collection even. get them. -Swersky is not necessarily great, but its the only improved european captain. So get it if you play a lot of halland e.g. There is just no other alternative for a european improved captain. - cunningham: for the cruisers and BBs the seasoned captains (the dunkirks) are just better. so really only if you play CV or DD but even then it doesnt even compare to kusnezov. -Auboyneau: Talents arent great. Improved skills arent great. And also the seasoned captains (Honore) are better. They got improved AR. And you get one of them from a collection. -sansonetti: That one is really fkin great. not so much because of the talents but because on italien ships improved "gun feeder" is literally pure gold. Both on Cruiser and BB. That one i would spend coal on, if venezia or columbo are amongst your favorite ships. the talents are good too ofcause, but the gunfeeder really makes the difference in gameplay. What you always need to keep in mind: These captains CAN make a difference. But dont expect your Winrate to go up even 2% because you got the captain. Kusnezov is arguably the best one out there but really. IF you run that guy in a stalin, his best talent (the DCP+heal) is gonna activate on 7k-ish HP. That means: -In every game, that you dont almost die, it was useless and a seasoned captain would have been better. -Everytime a salvo wouldnt exactly kill you, but overkill you by 7k you gonna still die without that thing activating. -Everytime you die in a situation where you can not disengage after it activated, you are going to still die and it will only give you like 1 more salvo. I run him on Kremlin and really, the situation where Kusnezov comes in clutch and really changes the outcome of a situation is maybe MAYBE 1 in 15-20 games. So on a personal note: Get ships first, get seasoned captains first, get mods first. Especially the free ones. Especially if you play CB. And when you got all that you want, get the legendary captains. The only exception really might be Lüthiens if you really enjoy german secondary BBs. You can then also re-use it on other premium cruisers etc and that will give you decent value. But a single legendary captain is basically same price as a TX ship if you have the coupon for -25%. Bourgogne is the best, honestly. Stalingrad is good but not as much fun (and keeps getting nerfed).

Can work with the reload boost 4-point skill, but not often.

Sources of steel - clan wars, ranked battles, spending dubs to research dockyard events faster and then finishing those tasks nevertheless. The last one I don´t recommend, the first one is a good for solo playing - at least you get to know your T10 ship.

It's accurate as hell, insane HE alpha, has 67% fire chance per shell, with a better base reload. for example for every salvo a Thunderer throws at a certain target, about half of it lands where you aim them at max range, each capable of destroying modules like AA, torpedo tubes and secondary batteries. For comparison Bourgogne with only about half the fire chance, lower HE alpha and crappy dispersion is a spray and pray BB at best, without the MBRB, this is just an alsace with a bit better reload and dispersion (not like it makes a big difference), just look at how many times he's been trolled at an otherwise a devastating strike on broadside cruisers. at max range, you'd wish at least 1/4 of your shells would land on your target and prays that your fire chance would make up to end up burning your target.

@@erlienfrommars the accuracy on Thunderer is just insane. Managed to land 8/9 shells (at 20km ) on a shimakaze slowing down and smoking up, almost nuking him from full hp. Still think the accuracy is a great concept, but the HE seems unnecessary as the AP would still be good enough.

there is an area a DD can be in. You just guess and fire somewhere to that area. I wold fire further to the right assuming he went in, turned and then stopped. PQ chose further left and scored. 5 hits is definitely luck, but if you know this game this well, you can - as PQ said - in one in every 10-30 games score hits on blind.

@@siriusczech PQ tracked the DD in the whole time. He said the dd is in the front and he is stil aiming in the right side. His deduction is suspicious. He tracked dd with lead and when the target stopoed he decreased lead and then shot.

@@arturtelazek1294 He did - not exactly, but approximately you know and if you are a good BB player, you will do that, too (same as I do). BB guns are turned slowly so you pre-turn them anytime you expect someone in some specific direction, either by pressing Ctrl+X or turning your view. Some DDs even watch your gun and fire at you when your guns are turned the other way, especially british with their small smokes, which their burst like octopuses to break line of sight before you turn your guns back. With this I fully understand the explanation of PQ - he was making it impossible for a DD to go all around him and he would push it either to complete corner (improbable) or still in front of him somewhere. Judged by the direction of torps coming from you know pretty god the vector of DD´s last position. And when entering the cap ... you know the rest ;)
