Holy Shit, you actually responded!? Thank you, Im binge watching your videos and I have a question. Do you know if the Halo exercises with the Kettlebell have identical benefits to swinging the steel mace in the halo position? I want to buy a machine soon, but I'm fascinated by the kettlebell. @@CoachVikingVaughn

Would choking up on the mace make it feel lighter and hinder the strength portion of training?

I’m not a fan of choking up on the handle for mainly classic 360s for that reason, but for the Figure 8 its necessary only if you do not have a club. If you do hit the floor with the mace and have club….do your Figure 8’s with that instead. Like I said in the video, it depends on what’s best for your goals.

Great vid.What weight ace are you swinging. I have just moved up from just under 3kg Indian clubs to to just over 3kg Persian meels.Slight change in weight but big difference in the experience. I now have a 3kg mace waiting in my shopping basket.Do you think I should go for that or 4kg.I am a slight not heavily muscled 5'5 male 140lb.

I'm using a15lb/7KG (that's the weight I normally demo with). But ya, a 4kg should work especially if you're experienced with clubs.

It's by Agatsu from Canada. I just looked for link and they seem to be out of business. The only other brand I know that makes heavy steel maces is White Lion Athletics. I just got their 32kg mace and it's insane: www.whitelionathletics.com/products/steel-maces-by-white-lion-athletics
