Here is the boss theme from Breath of Fire III. If you want a version with the SE, I also uploaded it. Check my channel. Also called Everyday Battle, or Battle in the Coming Days.
Balio and Sunder might be one of the best written early bosses in RPG history. They are your ground to reality while still keeping you immersed in the game. No matter how strong Ryu, Teepo and Nina seem to be gameplay wise, they are still vulnerable children, in a cutthroat world. (unless you overlevel in which case it sort of messes up your sensei bonuses). I played this game when I was 12 or so and losing 3 times to Balio and Sunder this early in the game taught me a valuable lesson. You can do everything right, you can be the best you can be and still fail. But if you keep getting up you can still move forward.
I love how in this game you want from a scared little boy waving a sword around as such. Then learning how to use the sword properly. Then as a older teen who had mastered it. Plus dragon transformation were amazing as well as the variety that you could change into. Best out of all 3. I hope if they make a part 6 the draw more heavily from part 3. Best in series.
I remember watching one of my friends play this game when I was at a daycare with him. He'd bring this over along with some other games like Legend of Dragoon and we'd just sit there and I'd help out with solving the puzzles. We made it all the way through Legend of Dragoon and we never got to the adult part of this game.
This track really has that classic Capcom sound that was present in all their games from the mid 90s. Just listen to the Street Fighter Alpha 2 soundtrack, or Marvel Super Heroes.
This is an awesome theme. Damn. maximum my volume on the tv, drink a beer and fight another hard boss in this epic game. Ryu, transform!!! Ryu:"HAHAAAAA!!!"
Gotta learn how to game dev nice and proper and make a spiritual successor. The master system, transformations, coming of age story, ah man I need these kind of games back in my life again.
this theme f**ing owns... This game was the first and only rpg that i've beat (i don't like this kind of game)... Listening this theme, makes me remember the end of 90s and the beginning of 2000s, the videogames, the school, play soccer in the streets, how difficult was to talk with girls. It's not just nostalgia, there's a lot of indescribibles feelings, good feelings, memoryes of a time that i miss so much... Thanks for the upload bro..
This game is what brought my love to RPGs and the first game I had to think about my moves on every boss, every time I lost I didn't train oh no I just changed my game plan. FF7 was easy compared to this game
hmmmm the only thing i missed here i think is the armor that you will get in the desert of death pretty much im satisfied with my completion, i played this over 5 times its so addicting
Every time I think of this song, it reminds me of the dragon genes, I used to experiment with (this being before use of the net was prominent) Note: I'm lucky enough to still have my copy of BOF3 (I had to buy BOF4 on psn though lol) So, it's like reliving it again, every time I play. :D Oh capcom, where for art thou?
I maxed this game out because I love Capcom BOF3 this game blew my mind away. First get Peco then kick the rock into the warer and find the Fairy Merysleep. Use her as a master for Peco cause he sucks, hes at level 1 etc. Then use him in a party and go somewhere to get a lot of XP. Then return to the fairy and be rewareded with SHADOW WALK! Do the same for the Dragon Master in Dragonier and get AURA!! Put them on Ryu raise his Power+Int and every boss will taste the true power of the brood!!!
I used to think that Peco sucks and he always was my move slave, but he is the most broken character of the game, I guess the devs really expected to us underestimate a onion!
Looked through all comments. How come there is: ONLY ONE BALIO AND SUNDER COMMENT? Screw all the other stuff, how about Balio and Sunder? Those buff horse men were IMPOSSIBLE until they downgraded by forming stallion. Those dudes were buff un-defeatable guys. Balio wore more armor so I thought he was the leader.
Instead, the person is crazy and unpredictable, more of a harm to himself. Driven insane ontop by being tormented and tortured continuosly driving the person to the edge by a really sadistic monster. And controlled as part of the plan, but when you kill him,he is stopped being controlled and his dialogue is obvious that he is clearly incapable of doing such as is too unstable.
Did you like the apprentice of force released? I found it interesting how he became corrupt and even double crossing and willing to betray dark vader to take his place. He had a strong will to excell in his position and would do anything for it.
Kefka is legendary now lol, people saw what a great character he is compared to todays bs villians. Only back when everyone was playing SNES and then FF3 was new did they really hate him :P You look back and go 'wow Kefta's awesome' these days ;)
i know man. but i dropped the game for a little bit cause i had to do hellalot of school work :[ i was at the part after the junk yard i think, like when you get the boat, and when i tried to catch up on the game, i couldn't remember what i was supposed to do :\.
Those already exist. They're the more dangerous type of villains. The second type also exists, those are usually misguided under principles. That, or you play a realistic game without good or evil, just two opposing sides. No evil.
If you had the choise to: 1) Fight Myria and live in an eternal desert (if you win) or 2) Live together with her...ya´know....alone with her x3 what would you choose??
I invented a new kind of villain. Not the typical insane man out to kill Instead calm and calculating and corrupt. All he cares about is power and looking good and controlling the flow of cash and sales. Very intimidating and although not usually one to take things into his own hands, when he does he will execute without thinking twice. Scares the living shit out of the rest because he will double cross you. Second a type of villain that is not really evil.
What i am saying though is the villain i think of is also intimidating and charming at the same time. I sopose he is arrogant but he is also at the same time veangancefull. This one isn't,he's just plain evil.
Thing is. I would like to see some villains that are clearly not insane, but instead posess other features like: Arrogance narcissism cunning and ruthlessness. And no innocence. Take shinra for an example:He was clearly a narcissist and clearly arrogant and very politician like. He didn't give a half a shit if he was destroying the planet and clearly all he cared about was having power.
of course just not evil. And also, you pointed out something true. I like villains with some realism. I find them interesting,or for an example balio and sunder of breath of fire 3,immoral and have no empathy. They don't have a problem with killing little kids. I used to like wesker as a villain, but in resident evil 5,he became a stereotype for many types of archvillains. What kind of villain do you like btw?
I didn´t say you´re Ryu! I meant it as if you would face her yourself. AND I didn´t say you should bone her xD Also she acts so motherly because she wants Ryu to give up his power
they are diferent games. star wars force released is more like a final fight game. you go aroudn the map fighting guys. Soul calibur is a fighting game no? It might have story mode,i have no clue since i never played
