I’ve been looking for a recording like this! Very pleasant and just perfect sound on the singing bowl. Thank you very much. I’m currently on a journey out of burn out and into more peace within. Appreciate your videos that has given me much knowledge on this topic and especially with brain fog. Like you, I’ve first experienced relief of this, when breathing light. This has also created an interest in the buteyko method for me. Can you become a buteyko teacher through online courses? Much love and happy christmas to you! 😊

Thank you so much for your feedback 🙏 Yes, it took me ages to soften the bell sounds and get it right, so I really appreciate your comment. Patrick McKeown offers both in person and online teacher trainings via the Buteyko Clinic and Oxygen Advantage. This feels like fast breathing, is this the idea? Can we breath slower or not? PS I have read about coherent breathing and the studies and the 5.5 breaths... though I am not expert... is that where you arrive at this 5.5?

I live at 6300 ft elevation, is this still recommended for high elevations?
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod 8 месяцев назад
Yes you can still slow or reduce your breathing at high altitudes but just be aware that this will reduce the amount of oxygen available so it's important to keep a mild air hunger to elevate C02 levels which will increase oxygen release from the haemoglobin. If you have any health issues, check with your health care provider and also consider working with a breathing coach such as myself if you need further support. 🙏

Can it help with inflammation
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod 7 месяцев назад
Yes absolutely! Breathing in the coherence range releases Acetylcholine which helps to regulate inflamation.

Just wondering why sleep apnea is apparently bad for the brain, I mean your breathing less right? I'm a little confused!
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod 8 месяцев назад
It's a good question. Although breathing less and breath holds when conscious as part of Buteyko breathing can be very beneficial, during sleep the breath holds can be much longer (e.g. because of apneas following nighttime hyperventilation or collapse of the airway) and at a certain point this can cause blood oxygen levels to drop below normal.

For me the pace seems to fast. Maybe because I have big lungs as im a very tall guy?
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod 8 месяцев назад
Daniel, try to make the breaths much smaller. Your breathing should be silent, gentle and very light. If you get it right, it will feel like you are hardly breathing - there should be a mild air hunger - after a few minutes you should feel the benefits of increased blood flow and oxygen delivery. Have a listen to the light slow deep track for more info. Hope that helps.
@Jade-ms2ys
@Jade-ms2ys Месяц назад
@@thebuteykomethod This also seems too fast for me. Is it okay to breathe less fast? PS PS I have read about coherent breathing and the studies and the 5.5 breaths... though I am not expert... is that where you arrive at this 5.5? And THANKS!
@thebuteykomethod
@thebuteykomethod Месяц назад
@@Jade-ms2ys Yes you should breathe at pace that feels right for your body. Bear in mind that you can also soften the breath, breathing more lightly. I made this video to guide you how to do it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MkscOWI8aNc.html
