Hey! Yes, just place one hand on your stomach. It’s not even necessary to do, but I’ve found that if you don’t pay attention to whether or stomach is going out on an inhale and in on an exhale, it’s very easy to switch them and do the opposite. One hand will work just as well as long as you focus on the breath coming from your stomach!
What do you do if #1 your are breathing wrong and I keep doing everything you say but I'm fighting it so bad. I'm on week two and I'm getting very frustrated. #2 I can't hardly get air in through my nose, I have always been a mouth breather my whole life. Any tips would help me so much. I have asthma and severe COPD. I spend every afternoon with your videos thank you so much for everything you are doing!
@@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth I'm breathing wrong because my chest goes up not my stomach. I'm trying to learn to make my stomach move and not my chest.I can't get much air through my nose but I can get deep breaths from my mouth. Any help on either problems would be so appreciated!!! Thank you so much
Ok. You can try a couple of things. If you are having a hard time breathing through your nose, it could be anatomical. If you can’t breathe through your nose, then continue the exercises through your mouth. Also, rather than focusing on your chest, try focusing on your stomach when you breathe. Push it out on an inhale and pull it in on an exhale.
@@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth thank you so much for everything that you are doing. I'm not going to give up on this, I want to use all of my lungs not just the top part!!!!!! Thanks again for taking the time to help me, you are a great teacher!!! ❤️
