Totally! If they knew peony’s weren’t going to be available they should have told her in the first place before doing something she didn’t even ask for or even like. You don’t just throw in flowers. The bride knows what she wants and when she sees what she doesn’t she’s going to be upset and she had a the right to be upset.
Oh, hell yes. Sad. After the showroom exhibits of the samples, she should have cancelled the contract for lack of performance. A word to all brides from a wedding planner with over 1000 weddings: TAKE INCREDIBLE NOTES AT EACH MEETING. Send those notes to the florist as a legal "record of memorandum" of what you took away from the meeting. You are beginning to create a contract. Be smart. Do as many back and forths as it takes to get everyone on the same page. Give them copies of the photos you have from your dream board. Specificy exactly what you want and do not want for all details. Have the florist give you a memo of understanding of their understanding of your desires. START EARLY so that specific details can be worked out. There are many unscrupulous florists out there who do very shoddy work and float on an imaginary reputation that mostly they have created and for that they think they can charge big prices. Start at least a year early. Understand what flowers are in season and when. If you absolutely must have peonies, then understand that at certain times of the years they are not available in mass quantities and you might have to pay a premium to get any at all. Be flexible with your flower choices once you learn the seasonality of those flowers. Ask where the flowers are coming from. Above all, be kind. Karma is always in play.

It wont be good enough because they didn't do anything she had specifically told them to do in the first place. The title of this video is misleading. She didn't freak out, she expressed disappointment for getting what she didn't ask for. People she hired were incompetent and should have been fired.

Then, Persia said Tool wrapped around her bouquet stems not a ribbon. Be hard to “fire” them after they’ve brought all the flowers in and it’s the wedding day. The only thing the bride said was at the end - all the matters is that she marries him. I worked with a lot of brides through my work at the church. I tell them all the same thing… There’s going to be at least one thing that doesn’t go according to your plan the only thing that matters is that at the end of it the minister says, “I now pronounce you husband and wife.”
@@rustinstardust2094 Good quality milk glass does not look cheap. Just because something is white glass does not make it milk glass. Good quality milk glass has a translucence. I grew up with mild glass in the home and it wasn't cheap. The florist sucks as a businessman. Lesson to be learned here is, make sure that everything is spelled out and very specifically ....... EVERYTHING! Dude needs to add a sketch artist to his staff and have that person, without him in the room, work with the customer and design what the customer envisions, down to the last bit of lint on the table cloth and napkins if that's what it takes .......

I feel like both are at fault. The bride should have for example said that she wanted the stem specifically wrapped only and should have showed examples of things she wanted, but the florists also if she said she wanted clear you give your client clear.

The florist was horrible. He wasn’t listening and bad pr on tv. He surely had some greens and could have run to Costco or whole foods and found white flowers. As for the tulle wrap. I agree it wasn’t his fault time to wrap the stems only is a bit odd and should have been specified. Because tulle is see through it would need to be wrapped many times. It would have been easy though and knew it after she said she hated the photo. A simple strand of rhinestones around the wrap would have been beautiful. I watched this again. I shouldn’t be so harsh. Her voice is her voice the fact it sounds whiny isn’t her fault.

I own wedding decoration business, and i always gave sketches to my client about how the decoration will look like, the color of the backdrop and the color of the flower. On top of that i always give a contract that specify all the items the client will get on their wedding day. i can assure you this is NOT how it should be
You bring up a good point on contracts. The show didn't let us see the contract, if any. It's hard to tell what was agreed upon, aside from word of mouth.
As a perfectionist and a straight forward person, i can feel her, she knows exactly what she wants, and the florist keeps playing with her nerves on her WEDDING DAY which u only get once in ur life (the feeling on ur first wedding u know).
I just love how everyone is on the side of the bride. It's the job of the florist to give her what she asked for. I'm surprised (let's just say she didn't ask for it) the florist himself didn't recommend flowers for the pillars. It's obvious that it didn't look right without the flowers.

Let me state this clearly. I do not dislike the bride. But I also do not dislike the florist. When you have a specfic vision, you need to describe it specifically so that everyone understands. She said she wanted the flowers wrapped in toil and that she dosent like satin. From my understanding, they were giving her what she said she wants. But she didnt want what she says, she only wanted the ribbon of the bouquet to be toil. But since she said she didnt like satin, I think the florist was trying to play it safe by not using satin again. Her communication, at least shown in this video; was horrible. We did not get to see the emails she sent so we have no way to know if she specified or not. That being said, yes she can complain. But not with that tone in her voice. The tone in her voice sounded like "I'm so annoyed at you rn omg wtf" kind of tone. If she had a more calm demeanor and tone of voice, I'm pretty sure no one would be annoyed at her too. Calm mind, calm life.

Now with the bouquet when she stated she didn't want satin she received a photo of what it would look like and she msg them back to wrap it around like they were going to but with tulle instead... The florist disregard what she said and went on to send what she didn't want, the florist is unprofessional and she should have paid them half the total cost since they could not follow instructions.
If I was planning a wedding the florist had the nerve to tell me that something was in season when I didn't say I wanted that, I would go to a different person. You will not try and get me to go with something else if I didn't want that.
We did exactly that for my wedding. The florist adjusted the price (raised it) for flowers (it was a Summer wedding) when she found out my dad was a doctor...Dad moved on!!!!!
My daughter is a florist. You will pay for what is not in season, because they have to pay for it and allow for loss of flowers in weather that is unseasonal for them. They recommend something else for a reason, it is their profession. They deal with flowers every day. Travel to the market, select, bring them back, pay for cooling and storage. The clean, strip, wrap, baby each stem. They take time to arrange them in vases, oasis foam, wrap, ribbon bows. Write cards, deliver. Then people put them in front of a sunny window or near a heater or don’t change the water and wonder why they die. Goodness. Then they come home and tell the stories.

Voice aside, she's actually very reasonable. It's her wedding day and she's not paying cheap for their services. She has all the right to call the shots.
She's probably not paying a cent for anything, tbh. The parents are usually the ones to fork over the money, unless arranged otherwise. White you're correct in that the bride's wishes should be fulfilled within reason, a paper/email trail should have been kept as evidence of what was signed and agreed upon. Always triple check what the wedding planers plan on doing, make needed adjustments, then both parties need to sign it/agree to the TOS to finalize everything. If something goes wrong, you have proof of what was discussed, especially if the issue will be taken to court. I wish the show had shown some of the agreed upon paperwork.
@Midnight Sonnet Plenty of people pay themselves and it really doesn’t matter at all of the parent pay or not regarding the florist. She is the bride and the client and she should have received what she paid for. And she probably does have emails and texts and other things evidence and can get refund later, but it’s not about the money. She wanted the flowers there for her wedding and no stress and she can’t go back in time to fix this.
There should have been a contract specifing exactly what she asked for (columns, bouquet...) if she didn´t review the contract it's her bad, if it's specified there well, sorry florist. However the bored/annoyed/pampered tone of the bride really gets on my every nerve.

As to wedding jewelry sales, we always have to allow the customers to change their mind. If they change their mind last minute, they will pay extra for it; if we mess it up, we will make it right. No need to discuss "I told you so" or "remember?", We just need to be as flexible as possible.

I’m on the brides side. When she told the florists that the vases and flowers were wrong on the table, they kept trying to argue with her and mom. “Oh but this is how we saw it in a show in Paris. It’s very IN right now.” She had been specific in her original instructions, but they decided to make changes based on the show in Paris. When she saw they weren’t following her instructions and tried arguing with her, that’s when she decided to micromanage and get pictures of everything so she could give specific instructions. She was also very clear about the bouquet; wrap it with tulle like you would ribbon, and don’t have the big fluffy part. They did it like the picture, even though she told them specifically what she wanted after seeing the picture. As far as the columns, after them giving her such a hard time about the place settings and bouquet, I automatically believe they didn’t follow instructions about that either. While some people may think she’s petty or high maintenance, she is a customer paying a lot of money who gave specific instructions. She wasn’t vague or abusive. I’m on her side. I hope they haggle a huge discount off the florist bill for all the hassle.
There is undoubtedly a detailed written contract that describes each piece that the florist was to make...if that contract doesn't specify flowers for the gazebo, thw florist would not be responsible for producing them. Either way, he's correct that he can't just pull more white flowers out of the sky for her when the wedding is about to start- those displays take time to create

Tbh I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I had to "fire" my venues reccomended florist and hire someone else because the first lady was so incompetent. In the lead up to my wedding the woman at the venue asked for all info like seating plan, room layout, timeline for music and lighting etc. She kept saying how she will do anything i ask and is there for me etc etc. On the day everything is set up wrong and when we complained she said we never gave her anything and that she's "not our wedding planner". Total bitch! Needless to say she also avoided me all day! Beautiful venue but i wouldn't recommend because of her incompetent.

She payed as much as the florist asked for what she got, meaning the final number of columns. We actually do not know what she has asked, signed a contract for and payed for. We just know that in the end, she wanted more.

As a person who working in a wedding industry for years... I can understand the florist want to show his creations that's on trend and will be good for his new portfolio and it's still the mock up that can be readjust to fit what the bride want. However the attention to details and plan management were very lacked. The wedding planner should be able to make sure everything is delivered well and able to manage communication between the client and all vendors and I'm sure there should be a final technical meeting to go through A to Z and reconfirm its again ..so yeah there is no excuse for it.

her dad looked annoyed. and not to the florist but because his daughter was annoyed. like seriously? he doesn’t under stand how stressed she was. she asked for something she wanted and it’s not there for the 3rd time. it’s like the flowers. and the vases at first. like she should be upset because they messed this up too.
I felt soooo mad about them not having had flowers where they were getting married. I wonder if he charged her for that because I’m sure he did or he overcharged somewhere else since price would’ve been communicated about every piece beforehand
She's not FREAKING OUT! She asked for something and paid good money for it, they should get her what she wants. Just because she sounds dumb and is very 'Kardashiany' doesn't mean you get away with not listening to your client.

That florist should be fired. I would not trust them to do my event. No integrity, not listening, then trying to push their own mistake, disregarding the bride's wishes. If she didn't specify, they should be professional, and clear in their planning, or accommodating. "They're not season" -- yet they could get them for her bouquet??!?
The thing is the family probably paid a lot of money to get it they way they wanted. The florist didn't deliver despite being told. They disrespected her wishes. No matter how she says it or what to think of her, the florist didn't do their job. She had every right to be upset about it. Doesn't make her spoiled in that case.
@@Annabelleannabel mixing tropicals with dedicate flowers didnt work along with all the different shades of white. Its always personal preference but as a florist of 10 years I have to agree with you. The actual arrangement didnt flow or take the eye from top to bottom.
I am planning my wedding right now and honestly these florists sound like such a nightmare! Not only did they not give her what sh wanted when she was clear and specific and definitely paid heavily for all this, but they consistently were condescending and gaslighting her into believing she asked for something else.
I don’t understand she clearly has a wedding planner, where were they and why didn’t they have a clear understanding with images so it was clearer. Total shambles, I feel bad for the bride I’d be kicking off way worse it’s a LOT of money you should get it how you want.
The bride isn’t the person who is rude or annoying she knows what she likes so the florists and planners should be trusted but their doing nothing she wants

They were very unprofessional!! Good tip: Hire a wedding planner and let her do the work for you. No bride deserves to be not smiling on her special day! Persia had every reason to be upset and disappointed. They clearly had instructions on what the client wanted and failed to deliver. I applaud her confidence, directness and honesty.
She was very calm and had a very clear mindset of what she wanted and what she was doing. I can't imagine paying someone money for something very simple and yet they fail every single time in delivering what I wanted. So unprofessional.

I actually thought it was the right thing to say. I think she was trying to diffuse the situation by being clear that it was a mistake which could be fixed, and that the bride didn't need to worry about/fix it herself.
What are you talking about? You would say things to even FURTHER stress her out on her damn wedding day? A ribbon truly isn't a big deal at all, she got it fixed and it looked great by the end
As an Event Florist, I am on the Bride's side. This is no way to treat a client. I feel very sad for her. Seriously, when you are at the Pelican, there are always flowers on the structure.
100% this wedding is costing them a fortune and she isn’t being unreasonable. I would have ripped someone apart for not giving me what I paid for. If you cannot follow through then better not be in the wedding business. She is right for getting upset and she didn’t even throw a fit, good for her.
