I will fight you on this, that furry can clearly bend and articulate those hands however they want. Just because their nickname is centered around their fighting style doesn't mean their bedroom style is also weakened.
In form, spitting, top of his game, straight fire, unstoppable, impeccable, well-rested, nimble and precise, in-his-lane moisturized focused flourishing
Honestly, I feel like they missed a flavor chance with Bright-Palms here. I don’t know what, but doubling +1/+1 counters doesn’t seem right for a commander that has soul fists and enlightenment vibes
I ran this as a clone commander and i am now forever team back up, that shit scales so good. Doubling becomes quadrupling becomes octupling real quick with rionya and a haste enabler
Yeah, swinging for 24 commander damage that can't be chump blocked on turn 3 is definitely awesome, (and something you only get away with once before your pod makes you eat your deck)
I want to see my jolly encyclopedist featured too! It boils down to us Simic players gaslighting the opponents by saying "look, I must play anti-tribal! What a fun and fair restriction". And if Volo survives on the board for one turn - it is war crimes time again.
No joke, i originally only bought the precon for the sliver tokens, but after a massive rework, she's become one of my favorite decks to run. Through a combination of battles and hideaway nonsense, the deck is all about getting BIG to win Wild Prizes.
MY GIRL BRIGHT PALM! I've been waiting for this! She is definitely my favorite commander. Very cool card that can swing for 11 suddenly even in her precon. Also the pretty fox lady can unquestionably get it. Souls ain't the only thing getting awakened!
Agreed. Wish she had more lore tbh, the background they gave her sounded awesome and I was really sad we didn't get to see it elaborated on like other precon commanders get
Despite buying this card's whole precon (the planechase got to me) I don't think I have ever actually played it. Slotted in Shalai and Hallar instead and never looked back. This should be fun.
This is not even the most busted commander in its own precon. That’s Shalai and Hallar. Straight Macgyver . Can go infinite with a pencil and a rubber duck.
As a Bright-Palm player I'm happy my girl finally got some mockery love. Just remember, she can give the counter to HERSELF and easily kill people with Commander damage. She is a beast in 1v1s and can definitely hold her own in 4 player pods.
Hey man I laughed liked then clicked away but some time later I remembered that people don't get the support and appreciation that they deserve at all so I just wanted to say I love your content and somehow your jokes continue to be fresh and really funny! Keep it up and I hope you reach the place in life you want to
That Backup ability almost got me for my Marchesa deck, but in the end it didn't win me over. And speaking of her. . . Marchesa, The Black Rose is the best employee poacher there is. She just straight one ups any health care plans from the competition with her "Die and Come Back as Good as New to Continue Work the Next Day". All perfectly legal and humane, of course~
Didn’t know it was a precon so I bought all the cards for this deck. It’s backup tribal and I have cards in there that let me fling my big creatures at other people. Truly a fun time
Goddamn this was an inspired roast. 10/10 maybe the best you've made so far. Though I don't think anything will top the individual line "I would crawl through broken glass for a sniff" Also goreclaw, terror roast. 🅱️lease.
Woohoo! My favorite commander, (also my first commander, but...) +1/+1 is so over supported, that just about any opening hand that includes rogue's passage, and krenko tin street kingpin will have you full swinging for thousands in damages divided among your army of 400 goblins by turn 4, because it doesn't matter what else you draw when every single card in the deck is either ramp, protection, or a counter/damage/token doubler. I have actually had games where the final swing ended up dealing over 20,000 unblockable damage I know that there are a lot of ways to deal with a brightpalm deck, and it isn't necessarily all that powerful, but man does it make number go big fast, and in the end, that's all that really matters isn't it?
Ever tried forgotten ancient with shalai and hallar? Moving counters from forgotten ancient counts as placing counters on something which Shalai and Hallar really likes
@@Belvayne yeah, along with other counter movers, it was a fun playstyle, but unfortunately, in my experience at least, shalai and hallar strategies struggle because they require s&h to be alive when you add counters, where with brightpalm, I can just drop her, enjoy my counters, and let her die if need be
@@_underscore_9271 Yeah, plus, at least in my opinion, Bright Palm feels more fun to play with. You have to think about what creatures to attack with, where her backup and doubling should go, while S&H can just passively sit in the back row or swing in untroubled in the air.
@@bene5785 In addition, S+H can give a nasty infinite damage combo with The Red Terror (which gives itself +1/+1 counters when a red source deals damage) so I see it as the toxic commander of the 2. BP just seems more fun overall
Ok, this was one of my favorite builds and she slaps like nobody's business (heh). You'd figure he'd mention the red shenanigans' of creating a copy to backup bright palm with a different bright palm that zaps itself due to legendary rule.
Bright-Palm is okay. What people should be worried are some of the support cards he came with. Conclave Sledge Captain comes in with three instances of backup 1 you can give to three different targets or just one big buff dork. It gets trample, three +1/+1 counters, and an effect that says it gets that it gets as much more counters on it for the damage it causes to a player. If those counters are applied to anyone else but Conclave Sledge Captain, they get triple that ability, too. That means if you deal 3 damage from recipient of all 3 backups, you get 9 counters on that boi. You know who else is in that precon? Death-Greeter's Champion. Dude got Dash, backup 1, doublestrike. Make it Conclave Sledge Captain's progeny and you get a double swing. Better yet, apply both backups to a different creature and it's good game. The only thing stopping this from happening is the fact that they're all expensive to cast. But here's the kicked. They have Hamza. Dude can discount 1 generic from any creature's casting cost, including himself, for every creature on the field with +1/+1 counter in it. Drop that boy down and everyone's like 1 or 2 drop. My circle got me to pick up my Marath deck again because that one I made with group hug. Btw, I used Bright Palm once in the 99 of my Marath. That also came with Kalonian Hydra and haste. nobody sees the naya commander damage until it's too late and it's time to calculate damage.
Nahiri's Resolve, a card so purpose built to break Back up that its just a picture of an explosion, being in color and rampable thanks to the added green just makes this go from awful to apocalypse
People underestimate conclave sledge captain. It has backup 1 three times. That means it can give trample “gets counters equal to damage done” three times. And my favorite way to use it is all on one creature so it gets 3/3, trample, and counters equal to triple damage. It’s hilarious.
I've been having a blast with my new favorite commander who is incredibly fair. Inferno of the Star Mounts. I like to call it my "build a bomb" deck as it is similar to Ashling the Pilgrim but funnier.
Didn't know this existed. Now very *very* tempted to swap out Halana and Alena, Partners as commander and add some white bouncing to my red-green creature slurry.
Pssst. Do Neera and the kitty of the infinite. Neera, displacer kitten, flip cards until you hit omniscience, then flip until you hit thousand year storm, then flip until you hit any damage spell.
I'm surprised you didn't mention things that double the triggers so that's all happening 4 or 5 times a turn. (like panharmonicon, harmonic prodigy, or mirror shield hoplite)
Not only is it Green doing the double counter nonsense and White doing it's "left toe in, left toe out" shenanigans but it also has Red. That means it's gonna give all those creature Haste, do extra combats, AND make treasure while doing it all to play more Green and White awfulness.
I have a serious problem. The first thought I had when you started talking about this card was literally: "This would make an excellent card for a Sliver Deck." Second thought was to make a Hydra/Dragon deck with this card. Third: Corpsjack Menace would make for a beautiful combo card.
