They built two pools on the field, one for warm ups and the other for the swim meet. unless it's a college arena and they have meets there. Swimming and diving is something we excel at. Michael Phelps, Katie Ledecky, Greg Luganis.

Hockey fans in the US and Canada grow up hearing both anthems, so its not that hard to sing along. We support the players and the game, so sometimes when things break down, the crowd can lend a hand.

In the NHL the custom is for the visiting country's anthem to be sung first and the home countries anthem second.

No one has won yet...we sing that before the game starts at every sporting event. The best part it always sounds like they all practiced.together the night before. When the mic doesn't fail, everyone stand of course and are silent as the singer sings for us then when the Last verse begins the entire stadium joins in and starts cheering more so after the last few words are sung and the volume of.the cheers are nearly deafening

Big arenas are ultimately configurable. I worked at a 20, 000 seater. We had NHL hockey, Rodeos, freestyle motocross, concerts, Ice Shows, lacrosse, WWE and more. Fun fact there are 5 kinds of "theatrical dirt" that can be used in events like Circuses and rodeos

Nick, when US teams play in Canada and when Canadian teams play In the US, both anthems are sung, starting with the anthem of the visiting team. Another nice reaction, btw.
