As a swedish person, i can relate to gun violence and other stuff. This content is very good because when someone reacts to this, other people come to sweden and know what the rules are and where to go. Keep up the good work! 😄👍

Murders per capita were higher in Sweden in the 60s, 70s and 80s than they are now. So what are you talking about? They are now at the same level as we had in the 90s approximately, in the 00s and the beginning of the 10s it decreased somewhat.

nice reaction.. i would suggest "The Druglord Who Has Turned Sweden Upside Down" from the channel "Holland Crime Boulevard". and the new video from "Warographics" (simon whistler) titled "How Did One of the Safest Countries on Earth Develop a Huge Gang Problem?". although simon is trying his hardest not to mention / downplay the refugee issue which everyone in sweden know is the root cause of most of todays problems. the mere fact that people these days always say "immigrants" and never "refugees" should tell you something about how the government / population are afraid of even speaking the truth when that is what they need to do in order to address the issues at hand.

@@jarikuusila6336 Murder per capita is higher in Finland than in Sweden. Finland has always, or at least for as long as I can remember, been the highest in the Nordics. There are not big differences between Sweden and Finland, however, but Finland is higher. . What stands out in Sweden are murders committed with firearms, and that many young people commit the murders. The racists in Sweden show just that number of gun violence because then Sweden stands out a lot, but if you look at murders, we are roughly in the middle in the EU, so I don't know if it is worse to die from a bullet than to be beaten to death or die of, for example, a knife?

There is a lot of gang-related crime in Sweden, and it is like 90% imported. First it was people from the Balkans, then middle east and africa. There are of course actual Swedes involved in crime, but they are defo in the minority. Many people say we have no "no-go zones", but I think we do, to some extent. A lot of people don't really pay attention to their surroundings when they are out and about. I've been to a lot of these more dangerous areas out of necessity (at day and night) and sure, people probably don't jump out of bushes to rob you, but I've never felt safe either. It is more the feeling of sticking out as Swede in these areas, like feeling vulnerable because if something WERE to happen to me, there would be no safe place to run to. It is very unsettling going to these areas as a Swede, you just want to leave as soon as possible. YOU are the minority there, and you can tell from the way people look at you that they are first sort of surprised to see a Swede there, then they wonder what you are doing there. It is not normal to experience this way in your own country and I wish people would stop saying that it is. TLDR: No-go zones (for Swedes) kinda exist, but people probably won't bother you directly, it is more of a feeling of not belonging there that you get from the locals. They don't want you there, and you don't want to be there.

I was born and raised in Malmö. Yes there's a lot of violence here but it's not to the point where the people are scared to go outside. Some areas are more dangerous than others but I feel like that's the case in most big cities. I was seconds away from being in the middle of a drive by shooting a few years back but I don't feel unsafe going back to that area today. I'm just speaking for myself tho maybe others think about it more than I do

I have been very close to a car bomb and later a shooting in Sweden. However, I rarely felt unsafe living there (twice). I live in Malmö, grew up in Stockholm, and spent a large portion of my childhood in Gothenburg. Let me tell you, it's safe. As long as you don't get involved with gangs, buy or sell drugs, or other stupid shit. Of course there are problematic areas, but it has nothing to eg London, Paris, or New York. I walk around a lot, at all times of day, and the worst crime I've spotted was people riding their bikes on the sideway

I live next to one, and walk there almost every day. Have you been to Rinkeby, Husby, Skärholmen, Rosengård, Sofielund, etc? Because most people who claim that those are problematic areas have never visited them. I have friends living in "no go zones" in Stockholm, and they let their children walk to school unattended. We arrested all the older gang members, left was all the young once and they needed to make a name for them self's. So now they are trying to show all the other young people in the gang who is the most dangerous. As they are young still, they do not have the impulse control that older gang members had, so they just do things without thinking. On top of that, the fact that you do not get any real punishment before you are 16, a lot of the violence is done by 12 to 14 year olds.

That not how it used to be here in Sweden, we werent like america. Crime was incredibly low, and the drug gangs tried to keep things husch husch. But these criminals dont care, they do everything in open daylight, because they know that if they get caught, they are going to get very mild punishments. And they recruit 13 year olds now to avoid it completely. You have to remember that the criminals that are bombing and shooting now, are from the middle east and they got a completely different culture and mindset than the drug dealers that used to be here, like the russians. Culture matters.

The overall homicide rate in Sweden is relatively low. For instance, women in Sweden face an exceptionally low risk of being murdered, the lowest among Scandinavian countries. However, one demographic that does experience a high risk of homicide consists of young criminal gang members. I recall a period a few years ago when Malmö witnessed heightened violence, earning the reputation of being a 'gangster city.' Interestingly, during that same period, the New York police were jubilant, celebrating the city's lowest murder rate in 40 years, despite Malmö and New York having comparable homicide rates.

Yes, I feel totally safe in Malmö as well, including at night or when intoxicated. I have however personally heard guns go off a couple of times, there was also a fatal shooting outside my grandmas apartment when I was on my way home after meeting her, like 20 minutes after I left. A bomb also exploded right across the street from my good friend while we were speaking on the phone, so I can’t fully relate. Edit: Fyi, the fatal shooting was the one at Ribban… was it last year? Or 2021? And the bombing was the one in Kirseberg earlier this year. Edit 2: Nevermind, the shooting was in 2019. I guess Covid just messed up my sense of time.

I’m from Malmö, it is a very nice city. It has troublesome areas (as any other city), but generally it is a beautiful city. This year has been a lot better for Malmö. We’ve had 38 shootings with 14 injured and only 1 dead, according to the statistics. Although I am a bit confused by those statistics, because it says the shooting was in Lindängen (a city district), but I thought we had a fatal shooting at Emporia (a shopping centre) a few weeks ago. Edit: Nevermind, the guy at emporia actually survived, although he was seriously injured.

No its not out of proportion! And no, you do not "barely notice it unless you are a criminal"! There have been tons of innocent people who have been the victim of these shootings and bombings now. They have been finding drugs and weapons at daycares! We have seen that they are reqruiting 13 year olds in schools and on other spots where kids hang out. These kids are much more likely to end up mistaking an innocent person or place for a target and killing the wrong people. Just because something hasnt happened to YOU, doesnt mean its not putting people in danger or that normal people do not notice or are unaffected! You are putting your own experiences against statistics! Of course you can remain largely unaffected if you hide away in your room for most of the time, well thats untill they mistake your apartment for a rivals home and decide to bomb it. Or maybe someone in your apartment complex screw up while making a bomb and it blows everything up! That actually happened where I live. A bomb went off by accident while being in a car at a parking lot near my house, I was awake and heard it go off. It was just down right lucky that it didnt set fire to the buildings nearby! Noone would have died, but the buisnesses in those houses would have been ruined. "Barely notice it unless you are a criminal"... My arse! Those buisnesses werent criminal, but they sure noticed the bomb and would have noticed if their shops burned down!
