I show you how I take a broken air compressor and turn it into a portable air tank in this video. You could also make an air compressor expansion tank out of a broken air compressor using the same method. Those old air tanks are worth keeping around! Most of the part I use are from Harbor Freight but the 1/4 in shader valves are from amazon.

Something a failed to correct in editing is that all those fitting are 1/4” not 3/8”.

Hey well I am a young man but I hope to learn everything I can by the time I am an old man in being able to fix and take care of all my stuff. Thanks a bunch for the kind words! The reason why they use a higher pressure relief because tanks rated for 110 working PSI rating

So the PRV is usably 10-20 percent higher than the cut off pressure. So if cut off is 125 , valve would pop if it was a 125 valve. Its meant to pop at 135 ish if pressure exceeds that pressure limit

@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I have a rusty 10 gallon HF compressor which the motor and pump work fine on, but the tank is super rusty as it didn't get drained for like 10 years. I need to keep my eye out for a tank and I can make another functioning compressor.
