For some stupid reason, RV manufacturers like to use plastic pipe nipples coming out of water heaters. It is super common for the pipe nipples to break off. They are a major pain to get out. I might have found a better solution. Watch to find out what happened.

I totally agree with you Kenny, I have both of those sets as well as the ones for taking broken off bolts out and find they are to only thing between getting the job done or replacing the item that the broken item is in. An excellent tool to add to everyone’s RV tools list. Once again thank you for another great video.

Canon focuses through the lens. Every lens has the minimum distance of focus. You may know this but I use auto focus and then switch to manual to keep the focus. That may be to much fooling around for your porpoises, to much camera work and not enough RV repair.

Good job Kenny! I'm chasing a small water leak.. Checked the water pump, no leak. Checked in behind the fresh air intake, no leaks. Haven't checked in behind the converter box yet. My guess it's there. I have a wired in electric cord and had to pull it all the way out for a camp spot and might've cracked a fitting.

The glee in your voice when your new extractor tool worked was palpable. It was the right tool for the job. I’ll have to get one. The manufacturers probably saved 10 cents putting a plastic part there instead of metal. I’m sure they did it to keep RV repair men employed. 🙂✝

I’m heading out to look at the back of my rv water heater now to see if I have plastic or brass. I need to switch out before a break if it’s plastic. It’s a 2004 Keystone Challenger. I’m guessing brass, but who knows?

Thanks for sharing Kenny! I haven't done much to my 2007 Cherokee, but am curious if they used plastic nipples on them or if they built the older ones with brass or steel! I need to look before they bite me LOL.

I my self have used those tools but did not work.your expanding the plastic pipe to make it even tighter. What I've used is a 30 or 40 watt soldering iron. Remove the very tip or copper on the soldering iron. Let the soldering iron get hot and insert it in the hole and it'll warm the plastic to where you can get a small carburetor screwdriver and fold the pipe on it on itself easy to take out takes about 10 minutes. Sometimes you get lucky with those tools. Glad it worked for you great show watch you next time

Kenny, Thanks. Now I know what those internal wrenches I have are for. Hopefully never need them, but one just never knows. Dumb question!!! What was the reason you couldn’t remove those screws at the top of that panel on the inside pointing out and remove that panel? It was flopping around when you touched it.
@hillbillyrv
@hillbillyrv Месяц назад
The screws were in the frame. That panel was stapled from the inside. I didn’t want to disassemble the whole cabinet.
