You Mainers really know how to get down. Im a Montanan and I can truly relate to your way of life. Ill be heading out to Maine in a month and I can't wait to hook into some of those brookies. Cheers from Montana.
I think I know where he is. I will not give it away, because it is a hell of a spot and it would be a shame if it get over fished but it is about 20 miles from the town of Greenville
Way to go bub- already planning the spring trip. We go up near Jo-Mary Hoping there’s still good ice for one more trip up to cobbosseeconte next weekend but already thinking about ice out
I love landlocks, but brookies are absolutely the most beautiful freshwater fish in the US. And you sure caught some beauties. Have you ever fished Nesowadnehunk Lake? It has some pretty good fish. Take some grasshopper patterns if you fish the Baxter Park side.
I live near East branch Penobscot, people think these are secret spots, its full of these places. Just get here and fish almost anywhere. No kayak? no problem, just get some cheapo waders and get in the shallow rivers. Brookies and salmon all day.
The problem is people and all the fucking junk and trash and destruction they bring with them. All the out of staters especially. And some of these spots aren't known as much as others. Spot burning is just being a douchebag. Self sustaining populations of trout get wiped out for that exact reason. over fishing. What do you think happens when 1 tells another and so on and so on. Living near the Penob i'd think you would know this. But then again... People... smh.. lmao
