Hi Kevin! Thank you very much! I have a lot of bucking and splitting ahead of me for sure! I saw that you are all getting the rain. Well, I shot the video Sunday and the weather was perfect. Then, Wednesday happened and we got 6" of snow. So, that is that! I hate mud, especially working in it. I hope things dry up for you soon. Thank you for watching and supporting WST. We appreciate you very much!
Hi Stanley! I appreciate you saying that. They are a healthy bunch indeed! The Fiskars pickaroon is amazing. You see me use it a lot. It is a back saver! I will let the family know and Happy New Year to you and yours! WST
Hello Travis! Hope all is well my friend! Thank you for stopping by to enjoy our video. Thank you for watching and supporting WST. We appreciate you very much! Happy New Years to you!
Great video Mike! I came aboard from firewood Midwest a few months ago and have enjoyed your video content since then. The give a way sounds awesome! I currently use a fiskars x27 and it's a beast to split with. If I had another I'd keep it in my camper for our weekend getaways! Happy new year buddy!
Hello Travis! I have seen you over on Firewood Midwest, as I am a frequenter of that channel also. I am glad you like the giveaway and wish you the best of luck in the drawing. The fact you have X27, you know how effective these splitting axes are. A smaller X25 would be perfect for the camper. Thank you for watching and supporting WST. We appreciate you very much! Happy New Years to you!
Now that is a RU-vid name right there!! I really appreciate you watching and subscribing to WST. That means a lot to us here. As far as the logo goes, can you believe I designed it myself? I know, me either. Take care my friend! WST
Hahahah, I full understand the correct terminology of where your located since we lived in your area, great video on the saws and bucking some nice rounds, liking the Fiskers hookaroon been thinking of getting one, and yes your Bernie hat as pretty sweet looking..lol. Congrats on the 1000 subs and your doing a great job on the channel..wishing you and your family a very happy New year and continued success.
Hello Dave! If anyone could understand that you have a map of Michigan on you at all times, it is you. I love the Fiskars pickaroon! I thought this would be my first one and I would get something more expensive later. Nope! I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Lightweight and super effective. I recommend it! Thank you for watching and supporting WST. We appreciate you very much! Happy New Years to you!
Hi Christopher! Happy Holidays to you and your family also! I am glad you are enjoying the videos and don't worry, more are coming in 2022! Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!

Congratulations on 1k! Your ported saws really rip! You’ve got me thinking I should give it a go. Thanks for sharing and happy New Years to you and yours.
Hi Dave! Thank you very much! I'll give you one warning, once you run a ported saw, it is hard going back. I did it and next thing I am hooked to a IV pole in the shop trying to kick my addiction. It didn't work. I know have 4 ported saws. If you need names of some good saw builders, let me know. We appreciate you watching and supporting WST. This means a lot to us. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Hi Chris!! LOL!!!! I knew someone would run with my examples of a proper comment! I love it! Thank you for the congrats. Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!
Hi David! Thank you very much! Happy New Year to you and your crew, also! I am glad you like the prizes. Maybe I will pull your name in the new video? Good Luck to you! Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!
Hello Lucas! I will be forever grateful to your nephew for finding WST and for you giving us a shot! That is awesome that he wants to split wood whenever he can. Hi Larry! Thank you very much for the congrats. It was a lot of work, but worth every minute of it. I get it, you want the hoodie and the stickers! I am sure you could use a splitting axe for the heck of it too! Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!
I love these old saws. I totally agree that the 50cc saw is the best all around size. I can say that my respectful comment is that you run the best saw ever made. Never go to the dark Stihl side!
Hey Woody! I guess we are in agreement with the 50cc. Fun little all around saw to use. As for the respectful comment. I concur. Thank you for watching and supporting WST! Happy New Year to you and your family!
@@WSTMike happy new year to you and yours. My 346XP is a little screamer. I may have a video coming up of my buddy putting his MS250 up against it. I don’t have the heart to tell him it isn’t a fair fight lol.

Hello Outhouse12!! LOL!!! Respectfully funny! I am glad you are enjoying the channel. We try to keep it light and airy around here. Thank you for watching and supporting WST! We appreciate you very much! OUT!!!
Mike, we love watching your videos not only because of the wood but because of your personality. The 1k subs are well deserved! Congratulations!!! ………….Also, we like that you are giving away a Fiskar, we recently bought a Fiskar saw and we like it a lot! Wouldn’t hurt to have a splitting axe ;)
I have a 36 inch handle Fiskars splitting axe and love it.. I currently have a 36 inch handle maul on order at my local, hardware store to add to the collection of tools..
Hello Daniel! I figured you had the longer handle splitting axe. This one is a wie feller with the exact same head. I wish you the best in the drawing. I would like to see you in a WST hoodie or t-shirt and stickers on your neighbors dog that I hear all the time! LOL! Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!
Hi David and Rachel! Sorry, I thought I lost your comment and then I realized I responded to someone who responded to you. If that makes sense, raise your hand. I am glad that I can bring some value to firewood with my personality. I am who I am, I guess. Best of luck in the drawing. I know that Fiskars axe would be a nice addition in your homesteading efforts. Thank you for watching and supporting WST. We appreciate you both very much!
Hey LTD! That X25 would look great next your saws for sure. Thank you for the woodyard comment. I've had a great year with the quality FREE stuff. Much better than the tree service stuff. Hi John! Welcome to WST! Glad to have you aboard. We currently just process wood for ourselves. That being said, the goal very soon is to start selling. I know what you mean about saws being addictive! That is the other reason i like to cut year around. I love running and building saws. We like to have fun around here. Hope to see you again on a future or past video! Take care! WST

Hi Mike!!😀😀 Congratulations on the thousand subs buddy!! The 254 seems to run pretty nice. Will probably even be better after it gets broken in. Take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍 Logger Al
Hey Logger Al!! Thank you very much! The 254 runs and guns my friend and will get stronger once it has more tanks through it. I have an addiction as I said before to the older technology. It's not for everyone, but for me, it is a part of the firewood hobby. I enjoy it. Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!
@@WSTMike I also have a addiction for the older saws too. Except I'm a Stihl guy. I love my ms460 and my MS 261 and my G388 clone saw and my G660 clone saw. LOL!! They are so much easier for me to keep running. I also have several other even older ones like my 028 super. They have all been really good to me for many years. Take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍❤ Logger Al
@@aldredske6197 I had a feeling you liked the old school saws. The saws you mentioned all have a good history. I ran a 028 and 290 prior to Husky. Like you said, you can work on the older saws! WST

@@FirewoodMidwest I just looked in the WST Giveaway Instructional Manual and here is what I found; Article 7a Paragraph Z says, if a viewer leads with a good comment and knowingly lets you know the second comment is going to suck, it is up to the wife of the channel to break the tie of weather or not he will be disqualified from the giveaway or not. I would tell you that I don’t make the rules, but I do, but that clause in paragraph Z does not let me overrule, Mrs Tears. I’ll get back to you. How’s that for an answer?

WoooHooo! Congrats on hit’n the 1K barrier Mike! It’s all downhill from here, eh? Stranded on an island with only one saw, hmmm🤔 Well, considering I’m into my Sterling Decade, I’d like to know what species I’m being confronted with. If I’m dealing with large stems from mature trees I’m all about that 372... Otherwise, if I’m faced with a slew of 10” Aspens, I’m going to love the little 50cc jobby a lot more in my advancing years! That’s assuming I have a lifetime supply of fuel, bar oil, files and a scrench. Oh, better plan on a high end first aid kit, seeing that I forgot to pack my PPE😬🤣 Bless’ns to ya, Tedd
Saw Surgeon in the hizzy! Not only was your comment ultra respectful, it was informative! I cut so little of softwood, that I never thought that 70cc+ would be overkill. In that case, I would agree, 50cc will clear a forest of Aspens for the 2500 sq ft hut you would build on the island. LOL! I never thought about the bar and chain oil, gas, scrench, PPE and files. I really need to update my "island saw guide" !!! Thank you for watching and being a subscriber of WST! We appreciate you!

Nice explanation of the modifications you made. Would you demonstrate switching over to “winter” setting for us, please. That is if it gets cold enough there around the third knuckle of the ring finger of Main MI. Are we, of your great neighbour to the north, eligible for the draw? If so, and if I were to win, include your address and I’d send you a real toque. Cheers. 🇨🇦
Hello Cloud Lake Moon! I wish I had a saw here to explain switching over to "winter" mode. All my saws are before that era. It gets plenty cold here. We are ice fishing already! You are definitely eligible to win and I definitely would not mind a proper toque. Thank you for watching and supporting WST! We appreciate you very much!
Congratulations on 1000 subs! I’m not very mechanical but I heard you say Johny Two-Shoes helped you with your saw. He used to run with a rough crowd. Nice to hear he’s changed his ways. @@cajun3197 Mike mentioned a one-shoe this and a two-shoe that with a super turbo charged full extended carburetor. I’m not mechanical. Those are all made up words.
