I like the white lettered tires on the Rallys! Old School cool for sure! I’m putting a new set of BF Goodrich T/A’s with Rally’s,trim rings with new Derby caps on my 70 in a couple of weeks. Have to strip and paint the rims Argent Silver first. Take care John and keep us updated.
@@Shop209 it's funny to me how the color of the car affects it. My blue 69 looks better with aluminum pro stars. But my white 71 looks better with ralleys and white letter tires👍
Much better !!! Man I need to get mine out there and let you see it since I got the Vortech supercharger on my yellow 72. Just started a new job in Warner Robins so I'm a little closer. I've been looking for your cars at the perry car shows and the local church meet ups.
Looking good. Man I bought a 77 Concours today, 2 door sedan. My grandma bought it new in 77, all original 46K miles in very solid condition. V8 also with perfect red seats. Only issue I saw a rat in the engine compartment while cleaning it up, it's gotta go. Nice wheel update there.
I have the American racing rims. Those knife blade looking rims. Same problem with the Log nut. I forget what size drill but I Used. So it would fit the 7 sixteenths lug nut. I even talked to the manufacture. He sounded like a deer in the headlights.😂 I made Them work.
@@Shop209 brilliant. I have a couple of questions for the Nova Master! I have a 72 restomod and there are no heater hoses in the engine bay. The heater and fan are in place but I want to know if you need to have a valve to shut the water off in-line like some cars do to stop the hot water? And i would love to convert from a auto to 4 speed. Is there anywhere you could recommend that I could go to buy all I need for this conversion. Clutch pedal, clutch, bell housing, gearbox etc? Thanks I’m advance. Mike👍
Hi. You mentioned in an earlier video that the rear axle always sits a little bit to the passenger side, could that maybe be from 50 years of wear/torque ?🤔 I have on my 69’ everything new in the rear end, Hotchkis lowered multileaf/swaybar/all poly and a 79’ 10 bolt. The axle is now sentenced, I now have 9,5x17, 255/45. Just ordered a set of rally’s 15x8"(f&b) was planning on 255/60’s but just found a good deal on BF 265/50. Guess that’s going to work fine…🤔 Ronny.
@@jimthomas1989 I really like that look. It's amazing how much tastes in car change, back when I was a kid steelies with baby moons were for grandma's car and today they are "Cool and menacing"...
Love your videos about Novas. Keep up the great work!. I have a 70' SS that I am restoring. Currently it has had all sheet metal replaced including floors, firewall, kick plate, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid, roof skin, package tray, rear tail plate (yes the entire car. It's basically a brand new roller). It was also painted and front brakes have been swapped out with new disk brakes with rear brake conversion to be installed as well. I had someone do all the body and paint work and I will do all the rest. My question to you is what would you recommend on where to start? Interior? undercarriage? engine & tranny ? I have some new parts and and engin & transmission but don't really know where to start at. My thoughts are get the engine & transmission ready to go in and then go from there. What would you tackle first?
I have a 73 SS that needs about all that sheet metal replaced. Did you do it yourself or have it done? About how much did it cost? Where are you located? I'm in NC. Thank you for any help!
@@timmoore8036 I took mine to a local body shop to have all the sheet metal and paint done. it cost me including parts & paint roughly $20K. I also had the frame painted and he undercoated the bottom included in that amount. I'm in South West Florida.
@@billdantes1640 Thanks Bill! That's just about what I thought it would cost! Did you have to replace the whole firewall? I have a lot of rust on the right A pillar and kick panel, back window all along the top is rusted out. Floor and trunk pans need replaced. Radiator support, hood, fenders and deck lid. Just trying to decide if it's worth restoring! Thanks again for your help, it's greatly appreciated!
@@timmoore8036 Yes Fire Wall & Kick Panel was replaced. My A Pillars and Dash was in great condition. This is a true SS and that's why decided to restore it and do not plan on getting rid of it. It all depends on what you want to spend what you think is worth it to you if you are not planning on ever selling it. If you dont want to spend a ton of money I would find one that's already running and then modify it to your liking. You'll probably spend allot less money doing that. But only you can decide on what you want to spend. Just remember restoring a car is like going down the rabbit hole. It will always be over budget and more that what you think it will be. If you go into it with that mindset and don't mind what you spend on it It's worth what ever you feel is right to you. Just don't expect to ever get what you spent restoring it if you ever decide to sell. I'm hoping to be done with another $10k - $15k but only time will tell if I can hit that goal LOL
We just changed the wheels and stance on our ‘69 and it made a world of difference! I noticed how nice the seats were in that car in the video; that’s my next challenge to tackle in mine. Is there a good source for 68-69 seats you’d recommend?
