Love your work ethic, keep going. Also there's nothing better than coming home to be greeded by your little girl. They keep us bringing the money in. Top stuff
When (or if) you go in on Monday ask the site agent if you can give the silo a good few thumps with a lump hammer in the forkie's man cage (done it standing from a pallet, don't have to go too high). Tacky muck is often a result of the lime in the silo's readymix (which acts as the plasticiser) getting clumped together after being left in the silo for too long.
The people that 👎 why you even watch or follow Charlie’s channel? He’s a top Bricky and a top bloke from what I can gather off his videos. He’s inspirational! Only thing I can think of is people are jealous of his success 💯
Anytime you have bricklaying, concrete, caulking, welding videos there's always going to be a handful of people that pick apart every little detail thinking their way is better and/or the only way. Trade videos always have the worst critics.
Your kicking The “best bricky” out the park on your viewings on here Charlie well done mate. Most are probably tradesmen/women watching and can relate to your content👌very good👍
That’s cos best Bricky talks dog Shiite . Inner peace and crap he broke the rules continuously through first lockdown by posting clips of himself building from his “ academy “ which was not his home . Heaven forbid someone posts constructive criticism on his clips as he just block you . Big up the Charlie , and ginger dust
Top man watched a lot of your vids mate nice to c someone who can turn the work out and puts a lot of effort and sacrifice into their trade c so many rough arse people who think they’re the nuts ,they already know it all so will never learn anything more ! Keep it up mucka 👍
That was a job that you want to walk away from all day long, but when done ur glad you stuck it out .. Fair play Charlie have a great weekend with Amy and your young en.
Another thing we all do is use a sack trolly, £30 from wickes is the best with solid wheels.. wheel a full band of brick around the scaffald it takes about 10 minits to get 4 packs of bricks out... load 90-120 brick out in one go 5 bands in a pack! The best tool out there!
If you get a window former and turn them over cut the black bands that go all the way through you can slide the bands with two fingers instead of strugglerling
Hiya Charlie I use the circular saw also for my blockwork I just get a pack of 3 blades from either toolstation or screwfix for about £10 just normal wood blade but if you keep using them on the same materials and not mix it one blade last easily one house build
It’s mental how the brickies I worked for only worked during the winter in Australia and took most of the summer off because of the money made in the winter. I wish we could all be in that position now. So do my former bosses 😂
That chewing gum gobbo is standard silo where we are. Try brickwork with it... you cant tap a brick or touch it with the level ors it sinks like mad! Leave it all day before you point. Hard to work with
Hi Charlie!!, really good channel, interesting and entertaining. At 63yrs old and been brickying most of my life I still have a desire to learn new tricks. Is the blade in your circular saw a TCT or diamond?????.....Respect young man👍
I think when building a corner with these type of bricks which are wet its better to use traditional method ie v the bed as you get the bed more accurate and don't have to bash them down which causes sinkage. Or whack the profiles up in this situation. 👍
That's kept me entertained whilst on running machine passed the time by lovely, everything looks saturated on that site but least your working Charlie boy, have a good weekend fella and Amy of course 👍
£500 to chop thermos 🤪 if the saw breaks they dont cover the motor to cut thermo blocks with it the dust recks them fast just a help in hand mate! My bolster is 6 years old still going strong £15!!! Don't breath too much thermo dust into ya lungs either ya cant repair them
There is nothing worse than a shit site with even shitter ground there's no excuse in this day and age to have to work in ankle deep shit! Most of the big builder do have nice sites the last one I was on every plot was stoned up around it and even all the roads were in bar the top coat it was absolute bliss
Well Charlie looking for trowel mate I'm a blocklayers in Ireland look like it could save the back for a while everything seem to be out of stock sound
its a boat you need to get to your work what a mess of a site no need for it ,unreal...fair play to ya for knuckling down and getting on with it, most important part of a badly run site is how to adapt to suit your needs to make money and not be fuked about ,well done charlie.
I suppose that’s just one of the pitfalls of frog up on the plumbing’s😤 I know you never had your profiles but they would have been just the job under the circumstances👍🏻👍🏻turned out ok in the end boys👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤝🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴
Charlie have you any trowelmates spare I could buy off you I’ve been chasing one for months now. Don’t think they will be back in until March. Love the videos every day mate keep them coming
Should have a radio mic, the you can set up a camera wide with audio and walk around would give a better aspect, then you can cut in your POV cam, will save people feeling sick from just watch the POV, which is a bit much constantly.
Seen a few of you videos now and can you tell why you do your block work first instead of your brick work. You probably have sed but I must have missed it 👍
Charlie, you be better off eating the cardboard that the KFC comes in then the “chicken”. More nourishment & less chemicals. Told you twice now but not going to mention it again. Love the vids.
That looks easy enough with a few years training. What are you getting paid for this days work. Surely if you were on 500 a day everyone would be doing it. I'm 21 and need a trade. I enjoy bricklaying the most but I can never see my self getting rich. What should I go for. Cheers, love the videos
Not that easy. To be good at it takes focus and experience. Economy of motion so you don't wear out your joints. Go for it though. Trades are the way to go. Universities are for brainwashing people
