Hi really enjoy watching, always wanted to do bricking , unfortunately back in 80s women wasn't aloud lol but hats off to your misses and hope see Amy back soon, tell magic I take him for a drink lol
Charlie for F sake, get in the habit, of once you lay, excess muck is trowel of and put it back onto the board, not on everything around , less time cleaning up at the end of the day. An retired Bricklayer who worked all over, including AUSTRALIA, Howay Man.
Who layed that??I tell your dad, English slang, funny as My son came in to lounge room when I was watching this and said what the fuck are watching? Bricklayers, what’s it look like! Love the shows, from New South Wales Australia.
Alright majic! My dads going through the same thing mate with lung cancer getting worse day by day and my mum has a heart problem so not looking good didnt think id have to bury my old dears at 29 sucks but its life i supose, all the best to you mate good luck 👍🏼

I thanks you every time I put my belt on Charlie. It’s an absolute no brainer .....frame tags , ties, knife , tape , corner blocks all on you , no more wasting time searching round for tools. 🤙🏽🧱👍🏼
💯 But a lot of brickies are stuck in the past. Still building corners ect and refusing to even try new methods and techniques and tools. Like that youtuber 'the traditional bricklayer'
Not a builder, but ran a factory making windows conservatories, bespoke shaped stuff etc for years. + Pus fitting etc. Came across your channel by chance and I keep watching. It's good to realise that although there's the age old thing of pass blame down the line scenario. There's STILL some very good tradesmen that keep up their end! ( There's no such thing as bad students, only bad teachers! ) 80% of that is leading by example and it's good to watch. I appreciate watching something and actually learning for a change. Many thanks
Jamie was pretty much right, It was 1 meter you dig out then you leave 2 meters then dig another meter out depending on engineers drawings. Then 600 deep, and with a key hole left so then you can interlock the footings together
Amy is doing well Charlie 👏 And Harry looks better and better well done mate good the way you let him get on with it...but keep a check on the his work...Him & Amy seem too be getting more confident...
New Labour not Hod I carried the Hod for 3 years before I started bricklaying 21 years ago then they banned the Hod I call them Bricklayers labourers they haven't earned the right to be called Hod carrier's I don't this in a bad way 👍💯
We use the dolly blocks but only really use them on the cut ups. But only just brought them week n half ago, been stuck in cut ups so have to give them a go when we start the fresh plots, hopefully they can work good. Quicker we lay more we getting paid
there are different types of underpinning one yes you can dig out the foundation old houses were just built on the flat surface of muck you get raft foundation and floating raft and solid well there are all sorts of foundations yeah that method he said is used but the must common one is drilling holes in the bricks every brick along sub foundation is pressure filled with resin waterproofing the bricks you see if you look at any muck mix the only thing holding them together is the water bonds in the mix when the water dry out it crumbles that why houses only last 50 years :) they dry out and fall back into the stuff you started with :)
Tell you Charlie, if they have bricklaying in the olympics,I would back you for the gold medal, you would put our Aussie bricklayers to shame, very quick and neat.must be all that good food Amy makes up,spinach, you are pop eye bricklayer man
Sorry do apologise! I can see it now! Lol. Thought it might be a different set up to what I’ve been taught! Keep it going Charlie! Taking a lot in from you and the crew! 🤙🏻
show love and respect to the lad ... doing well and good in what he does, regardless of his bad language and ways that go on site in a every day basis.lol. apart form all of it heads up to you Charlie keep it nice and cool .. fuck all haters... heads up and carry on doing what u do... all the best over there...
Your own fella must be so proud .your work ethic is something else .good luck charlie .make your money quick and make it fast mate .no good chasing your tail when your in your fifties like me .
Try on hot day sticking hands into bucket of cold water for a few mins. Let us know if it works for you. Heard it as steam train drivers trick. I'd also wet your hair a bit (wish I still had a head of hair like that LOL)
