It's been a while! Great to do a good old fashioned flight vlog again. I had to get the 182 out before Blackbushe closed for 2 weeks to resurface its runway.

There's something very comforting about seeing you back in that striped leather jacket. Conditions looked bumpy. You handled the landing beautifully. Wasn't the controller at Stansted incredible? No fuss, just a straight clearance through, direct track to Earls Colne. Great job!

Nice video Charlie, LHR zone transit always an option to avoid the busy gap between ATZs 😃

I’ve never tried that but often wondered if it’s possible. Would love to be able to cut that north west corner of the London TMA!

@@CharlieLamdin Transits west of Ascot - Burnham line is the approved VFR routing. Easy to do, and guaranteed separation from other aircraft, as well as saved time. Deffo worth a try, happy to answer any q’s if you have any. Take it easy 😀

Always enjoy your videos Charlie, very professional RT and that's why they didn't have any issue with your Stansted transit. Wise choice to get the transit above the TMZ as well, as a previous resident I can tell you that area to the west of North Weald is like a honey pot below 1500.

Charlie Foxtrot! Great video. The gale aside, I reckon I'd get claustrophobia in a light aircraft.

So what's your thoughts on all those lines that come out of the planes that turn to clouds? Lovely blue skies in the morning, powder skies by the afternoon. Lines I remember as a kid disappearing, now they spread wider and wider to the point there is no blue.

It’s water vapour. There are probably far more planes flying now than when you were little! 😊

Nice one Charlie. You certainly chose a glorious day to relocate your aircraft, not so calm before the storm 😂.Hope the rest of the plan worked out.

Seat of the pants stuff. I've no experience of light aircraft at all and seeing this, I think I'll keep it that way. But I do agree it looks exhilarating.

Long time pro pilot here. What is the story of the fore plane on a 182? I have never seen that before. It looks like it has moveable tabs? But that would be a monstrous job to rig it to the elevators?

Yes they do have a movable control surface linked to the elevator. Full explanation video here! What the canards do on this amazing aeroplane - the Todd Peterson 260SE STOL Cessna 182P ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ab-BEBgGGeA.html
