I think the value goes deeper than that. The salt might be a lil more consistent, but I’d rather not walk around with a fake looking airsoft looking gun, I’d much rather my launcher look legit like a real firearm.
And Byrna has officially told me that the numbers on this one are "Good Enough" for them. So, the S2 for sure wins. They agree that this is as powerful as there's needs to be even though they also agree that it is under what they advertise They apparently are now saying that they give themselves leeway
@@BrilloHead Agreed, but if they advertise a number, then it should meet that number, not less than half of it😂 I've never complained about a HD or an SD and they are weak but they actually do what they're advertised to do. Only the LE that you sent me has done what it's supposed to do but all the ones they have sent me have not

Just received my S2 about an hour ago.. I am blown away by the power. Went out back & shot the 6 practice rounds at a thick aluminum plate & they dented it. I can imagine what the 7.7g aluminum rounds are going to do when they get here tomorrow!
Yep, I think Byrna has a serious competitor in the less lethal market. They should make a 30 J version of their LE, but I just doubt that will ever happen.
He brother, I knew you would be a S2 fan once you got one. The LE seemed to be a launcher built with left over parts and expected to be the Super go to launcher. Look how much time between the S1 and S2. Salt Supply took their time and got it right.

Thanks for the video. I just got a new replacement LE as well and a bunch of free stuff that I am thankful for (after three repairs) but don’t have a chrono to verify fps/joule output😳. The S2 is so much more consistent at half the price:(.
The SD is decent The LE is just a disappointment when many of them are actually weaker than an SD or at the very least only a couple of joules stronger

I’m going to buy the S2. My Byrna LE and SD both failed. They were repaired, and still failed. No reliably whatsoever. Byrna promotes itself well, but the product was awful, from my experience.
Yeah but you have to realize if you watch some of the other videos I have in this series one of the ones they sent me was only eight joules! Yeah the LE looks more like something real and functions more like something real but when it's 12 joules weaker When it's supposed to be around four joules stronger than the S2, there's a problem.

@@jameslitsey2512 Yeah, FSC's are still kind of oversized even when they don't have a long barrel sticking out. Only thing that's going for the new Sabre is the low price. I did notice a lot of the reviews were from female buyers, which I find rather amusing since this tends to be a male hobby after all.
Is it possible the after market compensator improved the LE? Wouldn’t make sense because it appears to be cosmetic but why would WU’s LE be so much more consistent?
The one I got from him was hitting the same numbers before any mods. And no, the barrel comes to the end of the compensator so there's no way it could really change the performance. I would argue that the 12 g adapter did but I know that testing it before I put it on didn't change anything when I did
I fired my LE for the first time today and although I don’t have a chrono it was noticeably losing power as I continued to fire the magazine. After changing to a second magazine I could see the kinetic rounds slowing down, it was easier to see them traveling down range versus the first few rounds. Must be design aspects that don’t allow the launcher to regulate CO2 and shoot consistent numbers. Wish I’d seen your video before spending so much money. Thanks for posting though and thanks for staying on top of this.
The S2 is better in reality. My last LE averages 12 joules while the S2 was 19. The adapter just gives more shots in the SD or HD, no change in the LE other than making under barrel accessories fit correctly instead of to low. The SD and HD are only 10 joules, so half the LE. Some LEs are like 24, but I saw that in 1 out of 4 I had. The LE is hit or miss and I even had one that was only 8 joules, lol
Idk about anyone else… but for me, I prefer the byrna for the simple fact it looks just like a firearm. There is a mag, in the proper location, and doesn’t have a weird knob on the bottom. IMO if someone sees that knob on the bottom where the mag is supposed to go, they’re going to know it isn’t real, and it could change the situation very drastically.

You should watch some more of my videos instead of just leaving negative comments on everything. If you watch the rest of the videos in this series you would see exactly what the problem was and how would I adjust the S2? I've never opened mine up and there's no external adjustment. This was absolutely an honest comparison just like the other videos like this I've done. I'm very well established in the community as a very honest person. I literally have over 1700 Less Lethal videos I know they're all too long for your attention span since you keep leaving comments telling me to edit all of them You watch to make them shorter. Then the next guy would come around saying why did you cut out so much were you hiding something 😂😂
What's actually really ironic about what you're saying is if you watch the rest of them you would see that the LE was the one that was pre-adjusted multiple times by the factory and this was the third one they sent after telling me they had pre-checked it by two different people The salt was just like it came out of the box so it's exactly opposite of what you think you know
The only reason why i went with byrna is because of that dumbass knob on the bottom of the rest... Byrna looks real...everything else looks real until you conceal it and you got this happy 2 inch power deck sticking out of your shirt
I didn't have money to upgrade to the mercy last lethal adapter . I would appreciate it and it would be nice if you could send me one . I believe that the mercy Leslie to adapter will feel better and hit harder
I’m done with Byrna. I could write a book. The LE was a disaster, and the SD was terrible. I’m hoping to get my money back. Looking at the S2 with optimism.
Good luck, They just completely started ignoring my emails after telling me I wasn't getting my money back because I didn't buy it directly from them even though I did buy it from and authorized dealer
I said the 2nd time I shot the LE out the box it was a piece of crap. I am supposed to depend on it . I want a refund false advertisement. Love the S1,but the S2 seems too big for everyday carry. Might buy one. But paying a real gun wouldn't be a waste of money.
Speaking of real guns, I like the Pietta 1851 Navy that DK sent me. It's black powder but still very powerful. Must wear hearing protection before I shoot it.
@@BrilloHead this case, instead of returning the LE for S2 I may go for the SD. Smaller than the two and still have similar controls in familiar places. Main thing for me is reliability and consistency. Portability/able to conceal
if someone has an extra $500 bucks i will take a brand new umarex hdp.50 , redo all internal perfectly which takes 1 to 2 weeks , take out valve block , put in power hd-24 firing pin , add a 2 piece steel tuning barrel and sniper extension , dye the orange slide black , put a hogue grip on handle , it will get 38 to 43 joules with just 12 gram co2 ,,,,, and guarantee it for life,,, yeah i will repair it for as long as i live, if it ever needs it ,,,,,,which i seriously doubt , , lol lmao and all of this for the price of a over rated , cosmetically correct but very weak and chitty guarantee byrna le , the LE stands for what i personally have coined the phrase " LESS EFFECTIVE " LOL < LMMFAO !!!! $500 dollars , $ 500 phuckin dollarz for a less lethal that you can use as a side arm in paintball wars and games !!!! people can buy real firearms shooting real bullets for that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabahabaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , as you say , GOOD-TIMES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@jameslitsey2512The LE performs very well after the mod but the bottom line is it shouldn’t be required when paying top dollar for a launcher. I meant his Salt killed his Byrna not mine. 😁 Fixed
@@jameslitsey2512Salt seems to be a solid performer and from the group photos i have seen it is such a simplistic design inside that should bode well for reliability.
The trigger is solid, the body is solid, the safety is super solid. Size is the only downside of it I can see, other than it would be nice if the controls were more familiar. Not much out there with a front loading mag other than this. At least the safety is in the right place, maybe not the most rightest place, but stills
That was a one panner, I have a wall full that will go through that, lol. But yeah, I have FSCs that will go through 3 pans, I could cut one way down and penetrate a one panner easy
