black on black and black on red have been done to death .. I’ll throw another option up - blue interior .. not a dark blue but a real rich almost bright blue on the black paint would look sweet. end of the day though, your truck your choice. cheers mate 🍻👍
I don’t think I could do blue on the interior, I like dark blue paint and a tan, cream or white interior. It’s going to be a hard decision, but only the seat, door panels and dash pad would be in the leather color I choose, rest of it including carpet will be black. I keep coming coming back looking at black with white houndstooth seat covering. I’ve never had a vehicle with houndstooth and I like it.
I have a distressed black Snowden seat with matching door panels in my green frame off 67 resto. They are accented with a red plaid pattern on the actual passenger seating surfaces. They might give you some ideas to help you arrive at your decision. I’ve got a couple of videos on my channel that show the interior. I look forward to your future videos.
Thanks for watching. I do have a few ideas in my mind for the interior fortunately it will be a while before I have to make up my mind and make a decision.
Hi I’m getting ready to start working on my 68 c10. How do you like the body panels from AMD? I also need the front clip and bed. Awesome job on your build.
Hello, thanks for watching! Of all the panels I have used I definitely like AMD the best, they fit as good or better than OE body parts. Now with that in mind, stuff only fits as well as the originals so when I did my chevelle the stamping were damn near perfect. I was amazed at the exact duplication of every detail the original panel had and most panels only needed a single sanding of primer coat to get prepped for paint. Now with the C10 the panels are as good as originals but keep in mind that’s original in 1972 for a truck so some fitment issues will be present and a little more waviness of panel variation. Also the AMD stuff in the 1967-72 C10 lines is mainly just tri plus stuff which is good stuff just needs a little bit of work. But with all that said, AMD has yet to let me down and I’ve been happy with them and will continue to buy my metal related parts solely from them. Remember I’m only a little RU-vidr I am not sponsored in any way and when I say I use something because it’s the best it’s because to date it’s the best I have found for my purpose. Thanks again!
@@martinthehoghead9454 I have seen 3-4 really good complete restoration channels in addition to Curt's. They all use AMD, so multiple thumbs up. Oh, best of luck and section areas off either repair, sanding except long bedsides to keep material removal even. I told my son, it's like pheasant hunting. If you shoot at the flock, you hit nothing. But, pick one bird and aim for it. As a AZ buddy who hunted with a 20 ga, he said to others who told him you can't kill a pheasant with a 20 ga, he said, it's easy, shoot them in the head. Works every time.
On interior colors Curt, I am torn. On camera, the black has slight gray look. But the Red (Right Side) makes it pop. Boy, that was absolutely no help whatsoever!
Dean, the black in person is black leather as black as leather normally gets. The camera messes with the colors sometimes and it really isn’t grey like that. The reds do look good but I want a blood red. Not a maroon or bright red which those reds in reality are. Good news is it will be a while before interior so I have time for more samples and thought.
Honestly I haven’t even got that far yet, as you will see in a few future videos there were a few………..setbacks. But I’m always open to advice or tricks.
