This video is a side by side comparison of the Logitech C920 & C525, I do a video comparison and a green screen comparison of both webcams. There is also an unboxing for the C920 and a quick review of both webcam specs. This video is only meant to be a guide to see the features of both cameras. I will NOT tell you which camera to buy because your value of a dollar may be different than mine. Either way, hope you enjoy the video and I hope you learned something new :)

Larry Lapkin thank you! In this video the green screen sits in the back for the first half, but In order for it to be used to show the video comparison moves it forward so it covered the whole frame then I just edited the green screen out using the chroma key effect in Sony Vegas.

I have the Logitech C525 and it doesn't look that choppy and grainy on my end. It still doesn't look as nice as the C920, but it looks better than in your video. It could be that my apartment is more brightly lit, and it could also be that I always turn off the RightLight thing Logitech webcam software has. RightLight seems to lower video quality slightly.

My Logitech C525 also works perfect with my own external lights set up. However, the built-in microphone quality is not really good.

@@BlackGoddess143 "Logitech Webcam Software", that's what it was called. I don't think it's available to download anymore, at least from Logitech. Might be able to find unofficial downloads online but I can't vouch for any of them. Bit of a shame since it was pretty good and had built-in motion detection recording and everything. There's a universal Camera Settings software available from Logitech that I use now if I really need to adjust my camera settings (I'm still using the C525). I guess there could be open source solutions for better control, but since I use my webcam very little I never bothered look up anything more fancy.

The c525 has two different versions. One of them has 11 dots besides the camera, it is 10 years old. The other i think is newer

I was confused on 625 vs 920 also using green screen with my c270 and even tuned so much still not that happy. So gonna go for c920 thx for the video

i have a blue yeti mic and i was going to order a webcam but i dont know if i can somehow use my blue yeti for sound and not my webcam is it possible.if so how.and if not what webcame should i get witch has a very good sound quality

It is very hard to get a webcam with good sounds quality, in fact it is impossible to get a webcam that can match quality with the yeti. Will you be streaming or creating videos to edit later? If you will be streaming its as simple as setting the recording software (such as OBS or the Elgato) to record only video with the webcam and then audio with whatever USB mic you have connected. If you are editing videos then you will have to do things how I do them, Record your voice in audacity while you are recording your face with the webcam. Then sync the audio in whatever editing software you use (I use sony vegas 12). I hope this answered everyones questions :)

Right Click your sound icon in the bottom left of windows and click recording devices. Then right click your blue Yeti and select it as default device for communications and such. These options usually are also in programs, such as Skype, Discord etc.

Maria Gamotia sound quality on these WebCams aren't that great to begin with but by comparison c 920 has the better audio mic

You're welcome. The problem is that you wont find a mid-priced webcam with good noise cancellation because its an expensive feature to have. What I would recommend (If you care about audio more than video) go with a webcam less expensive than the C920 and invest in a USB mic. This way you can plug your mic into your PC and It will sound wayyyy better than any mic you can find on a webcam. Hope this was helpful :)

+Kyle Imus from the c525 to the c920? I'd have to say yes, BUT if the c525 is all you have at the moment I say use it for a bit because if you plan on minimizing it to a corner for gameplay it won't look too bad. Once you've used it for a bit and feel it's time to upgrade then by all means go for the c920. Or if upgrading now isn't a problem then you can go straight into upgrading. I personally used my phone for the longest time and never considered upgrading until I found out how easy it would be to create content. The C920 is showing you a bit blurry, at least thats comparing it with the camera you used at the beginning of the video, which might be your phone, I believe, I don't know if it's something you can fix tho. But between those two there's a huge difference.

Yeah the fist video is my phone so the quality is definitely better. I'll still use my phone from time to time for sit down videos but for now all of my gaming ones will be done with the c920. I'm glad I never used the c525 lol

+anže Rovtar currently I have not found a method to do what you just asked without issues. What I do is put my phone up on a tripod, press record, sync the audio by matching my voice with something I do in the game, then when I'm done I connect my phone to my computer, export the video file, put it into the editor with the gameplay and audio then sync it all up.
