The biggest difference by far would be the fact that she'd be playing against recently retired NBA players rather than college girls. The ball size difference is nothing compared to that.

The different ball isn't as big of a deal as yall think. Sure, it's easier to shoot with the 6" ball, but I've hooped with women who handled & shot with the standard men's 7" just fine.

I've heard from several women that the extra inch makes a big difference in ball handling........I'll show myself out.

I just watched my first big 3 highlights. These dudes are big, heavy, and rough. They’d have to guard her different and she couldn’t guard them. @@styner3 thank you for clarifying. I've lived in the college environment way too long. Most universities can somehow file as a non-profit organization, so they can accept donations. Donations can even be made to pay huge amounts for coach's salaries, and it's often done for top paid coaches, like basketball and football. The WNBA must be a private entity so they can't play by the same rules.

Sammy...it's not a real offer, it's free advertisement for the Big 3. Caitlin can't play with men, she can't guard any man. These guys aren't out of shape old men. 5 million dollars is not enough for her to make a fool out of herself. She'll make plenty from sponsors but she's not playing in the Big 3. So in reality Caitlin was offered the same as Angel...nothing.

Whenever I've played co-ed sports, any of the good male players could beat the best women easily and cleanly whilst simultaneously being careful to reduce their physicality. The ex-NBA players in the Big-3 would be able to beat her cleanly without ever needing to get overly aggressive with her. However, having said that, if she's playing in a men's league, then she should expect to be treated like any other male competitor, and dudes in pro sports don't go easy against their opponents.

No, they don't. If she wants to play against men, then that's her choice. They shouldn't change anything. We absolutely shouldn't water down men's sports to make things easier for women who want to join. Either they're good enough to compete under the current rules, or they've got no business being there.
