Hey guys! Thank you for the crazy crazy support, it means the world :) Just wanted to clear two things that people are asking about. 1) Yes, there is a camera in the back of my room. It's a 35mm analog film camera (cannon ae1). It's 40 years old and it can only shoot pictures. For anyone who is into photography, highly recommend these, they're super fun. 2) Tony saw the video. Will be talking about this in an upcoming film.

Hey Ryan, this was a great short film. If I may, respectfully, offer a thought on your pitch strategy. This might sound strange, but I think your mistake was actually being too eager. In your race to immediately reply to the opportunities and offer a video free of charge, you conditioned them to think of your work as low value. They saw it as - "Hey, here's a kid willing to do something for free". And so they didn't respect your video or your work. It's like if you get a free newspaper on the street, you are okay throwing it away 10 minutes later. Because who cares, it's free? But if you spent $100 on that newspaper you would see it as something to hold onto, maybe forever. It's like a human psychology thing. Anyway, your editing is fire and your honesty is refreshing. Keep going!

Thank you so much for mentioning this! I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched him type out that email screaming, "🅝🅞!" in my apartment (probably disturbing my neighbors). I'm grateful for learning from Chris Do (The Futur) on RU-vid on how to become a professional creative in the industry. Creatives are so quick to think of our skills as hobbies rather than career necessities. Ryan is basically doing more than 10 different people's jobs on one 30 second proposal, and he was going to give another for FREE?! If anything, I was expecting him to have gotten a deposit or advance before even working on the project so keenly or going as far as to include some freebies. It's hard enough that full-time creatives who make the necessary sacrifice of leaving the traditional education system, and going after their dream careers are 𝙉𝙊𝙏 taken seriously by their loved ones and treated as starving wannabes by society but we shouldn't do that to ourselves as well. I'm 𝙉𝙊𝙏 saying this because I think I'm better, heck, I'm still working on the confidence to even put myself out there. I'm simply pained that Ryan, just like I did once, took his skills for granted and might just have being cheated of his hard work being used as a free Moodboard or mockup for a profitable ad for Tony's sneaker business. The reason it's so important to price your work well and know the worth of your craft especially starting a production company and working on marketing materials for brands is that there are absolutely so many brands (especially prominent ones) with outright terrible, horrifying, boring and lazy advertisements. A unique, fresh and quintessential take by Ryan for this brand is rare. I wanted to buy those sneakers already even though I already have one almost exactly like it that looks better tbh. Storytelling through filmmaking is 𝙉𝙊𝙏 a walk in the park especially when you're selling a product. Good luck to you, Ryan. Finding your channel is like finding ice cream; sweet, and the cold hard truth of life we have being starved of on social media, and due to pop culture trends. Please keep making films, you're inspiring a new generation of creators who make content that we can all be proud of in the long-term. I do believe that content creation should be considered it's very own professional career in mainstream media. Though like entrepreneurship, I wouldn't want it to be institutionalized but simply taught by experts with authentic results in an ever growing and evolving industry. Alright, I'm done guys✌🏼. Time for you to create your own economy. I believe in you 💕💓

Yeah it was a problem that i realized I was doing in the last month and a half. I think it's a big thing with artists. It's such a competitive market that we're just thankful for anything we get. But like you said, that shouldn't be the case. Thank you for the encouragement

Hey Ryan... I'm 19, and... I've always been terrified of the idea of making it on my own in this world. I know what I want to do with my life, but given that I have no real experience in anything related to the money-making world, I've constantly been anxious about my future. This video helped me realize that approaching someone with what you have to offer isn't as complicated as I've always feared. I know that I have a long way to go, and I probably need to learn to deal with my insecurity and all that, but you gave me hope, so thank you.
