Hey excuse me Yuta but do I need to play for premium to get lessons mailed from you, I got the 3 first ones but I don’t have the money for premium do I need it to still learn from you?
I don't speak much japanese but I was curious enough to craft this question in google translate. 日本人は日本人の語源をどれだけよく理解していますか?I don't mind a response in either language, I would appreciate it either way. Also, I was curious about another thing. Would it be obvious to young people under 20 in japan what the song 上を向いて歩こう by Kyu Sakamoto is about? I know these questions are pretty random, but thanks.
Isn't it more like his voice is very unique rather than having wider range of voice? Also I feel like it's more like he knows how to act his characters which is what I like about him.
@@marklunar4509 I think most people are more referring to the range in characters they can play - while it might all be his voice, every character still sounds distinct with their own speech patterns and styles. Matsuoka is very very very very good in that regard.
@@marklunar4509 yes he has a unique voice but he can voice a calm composed character as well as a character who's always shouting but many others can do that tbf
Hiroshi Kamiya is my favorite seiyuu and I almost missed him here. The guy who said “forgetting this is unacceptable”, man I’m right there with ya buddy
When I hear another characters voice and I think it’s from a certain seiyuu, I always go on my anime list to check by typing up other characters they’ve voiced and when I’m right I get so hyped lmao
9:32 i think he meant "voice actor" in single not plural, because he's talking about something that's unique to Hiroshi Kamiya and makes him stand out.
Yuta, I wanted to compliment you on something entirely irrelevant from this video: your English punctuation and grammar is spot on! Seriously, I am so impressed; not often enough do English speakers understand proper punctuation usage, never mind a non-native speaker! On a slightly unrelated note, have you ever read English literature? As someone who has a fantastic grasp of English like yourself, reading something challenging like Moby Dick or works from Shakespeare, I reckon it would be a load of fun for you (if you enjoy reading), and it would be a real eye-opener to what the English language has to offer. Or even simpler books (but just important to the world), such as 1984, American Psycho, etc. It would be so cool to see your perspective on books like these, especially the challenging ones.
I only got Kamiya-san and only because his Saiki Kusuo voice sounds similar to his Levi voice. I think the only voice actors I could recognize are the ones who had a role in AoT . lol
Hayami Saori's voice is almost instantly recognizable for me too XD I would have added that Touyama Nao can be easily recognized, but then her role in Yuru Camp really made me doubt my ability to recognize her voice all the time…
@@Kyrosta At least for me, Sakura Ayane has a voice that is recognizable only when she uses a particular voice (think Sakura from new Sakura Wars)… But her voice is too adaptable for me to reliably recognize :P
@@zichenglong6992 Toyama Nao does actually have quite a range, but she barely ends up using it because of the way she's casted and also presumably the way she's directed as well. Sakura Ayane has 2 really recognisable archetype voices that she often uses (her very girly one and her tomboyish one), but has a lot more that she can do. Saori Hayami has one voice and its the best thing ever, and I swear Kayano Ai is almost impossible to recognise at first hearing. Yuta even picked 3 male voice actors with absolutely massive ranges, but all are really recognisable no matter what they do.
Yoshimasa Hosoya has an incredible voice. It induces a nostalgic feeling of big bro. Or that strong and confident friend who's going to protect the group when you are on a night out. He makes shows like Iron Blooded Orphans feel so real.
@@shun0825 i do not believe that is true Rieri has had many big roles like emilia, megumin and mash. And small roles in a lot of famous anime She is among the top seiyuu in the industry
I guessed right on Rie Takahashi and Hiroshi Kamiya. Unless it's a unique voice by a female seiyuu. It is hard to tell who voiced who because most of them can do those kind of voices.
My all time favorite is Kamiya Hiroshi (because of Izaya from Durarara) but I also love Ono Daisuke's voice (cause of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji). I love watching programs or radio vids on youtube with Kaji Yuki and Shimono Hiro cause they're always so funny. Matsuoka Yoshitsugu is also always such a mood
Favourite: Miyano Mamoru & Tsuda Kenjiro A: I was screaming Minase Inori to my phone B: That crazy dude from Re:Zero C: Amelia!!!! D: LEVI!!!!!!! E: ぜん ぜんわかりません!
Ryotaro Okiayu is my favorite VA of all and I was psyched to hear he's one of many Mii Fighter voices in Smash Bros Ultimate. My other favorites are Nobuyuki Hiyama, Ai Orikasa, Megumi Ogata, Takehito Koyasu, Ryo Horikawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Hideyuki Hori, Mayumi Tanaka, Takahiro Sakurai, Masakazu Morita, and the late, great Kenji Utsumi.
I only got Matsuoka, Kaji and Takahashi correct when I guessed and I also recognize the line from Takagi-san right away that it was from Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san
Idk all the female voice actors, but I guessed Matsuoka and Kamiya (not the first one, but Saiki Kusuo). My favourite voice actor is Hosoya Yoshimasa, who voiced in Attack on Titan as Reiner Braun, Boku no Hero Academia as Tokoyami Fumikage.
Surprised Hiroshi Kamiya wasn't lvl 1. He has a very distinctive quality to his voice and he has been in a ton of anime and a large amount of leading roles in very big franchises. The only easier ones would be some voice actors with really peculiar registers like Norio Wakamoto, Hiroyuki Yoshino or Chiaki Omigawa (though I guess she isn't very active anymore). Not at all surprised you put Rie Takahashi and Emiri Kato in there. Also going to guess that you have watched Kakushigoto since you put the actors for both main characters in this. What did you think of it?
It's really cool that voice actors have their own youtube channel. My favourite is Natsuki Hanae, when he plays board games with other voice actors. Particularly his 闇のゲーム (game of darkness) series. One of his most popular videos is him playing Uno, and everyone is playing it out like it's an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh, and I couldn't stop laughing
I think it's amazing that they know voice actors names 😳 i don't usually pay attention to the name of the voice actor unless they are already famous for something else because I recognize their voice. Real voice actors are difficult because they can do so many voices. This was interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Sugiyama is Shirou Emiya of Fate Stay Night, Megumi Ogata is Kurama of Yu Yu Hakusho, Morikubo is Shikamaru of Naruto, Kotono is the 1990s Original Sailor Moon, Ono is Jotaro of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures and Namikawa is Tsuna of Hitman Reborn.
I got Inori Minase from hearing her second sample. Matsuoka first try. Rie Takahashi on the second sample. Forgot Hiroshi Kamiya's name but knew the second clip sounded a lot like Araragi. Forgot Emiri Kato's name but figured the second clip was Kyubey...Can't believe I forgot adult Hachikuji's voice.
I immediately recognized the voice of Saiki Kusuo but didn’t know the seiyuu. I’m definitely going to check out more of Kamiya’s works, he’s got himself a new fan 🤩
Really interesting to watch. I thought I'd be able to guess a few, but I was just barely able to recognize Hiroshi Kamiya ("oh that's the guy who voices Levi"). I've gotten better at recognizing voice actors after watching way too many anime, although I find it much easier to recognize male voice actors than female voice actors.
Not to brag, but I can certainly guess many, I've spent years studying this I got one wrong 😂 Especially, if they are Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, HanaKana, Aoi Yuuki, Kayano Ai, Kaji Yuki, Hiroshi Kamiya, koga Aoi, Saori Hayami, Sugita Tomokazu, TakaRie and many more
I am proud to myself because I immediately recognised Rieri-san. She is one of my most favourite seiyuu. Some of the others are: Ueda Reina(Ueshama), Amamiya Sora, Aoi Koga, Aoi Yuuki.
I love this game where I'll suddenly realize that a voice in the anime I'm watching is the actor from some other show then go check to see if I'm right. Also, does this mean I'm in the "private list" owing to the previous private video setting? ;)
Its funny how I got all 4 except the last one right. I've been watching anime too much I guess. Minase-san and Matsuoka-san really have distinct voices, you can tell its them right away.
Here's what I wonder. If they dub an American movie, do they always use the same voice actor for every actor? F.e. do they use the same voice actor for Samuel L Jackson in The Avengers as Nick Fury they do for his character Mace Windu in Star Wars?
My favorites are Ishida Akira, Mitsuki Saiga, Shimazaki Nobunaga, Murase Ayumu, Ayaka Saitou, Atsushi Tamaru, Nozawa Hachi, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Romi Park, Ootsuka Akio and Tsumura Makoto san. Way too many lol.
Was this just Yuta pulling from his MAL? lol Definitely understand that feeling of it being on the tip of your tongue, and after you're told, you're like...damn, I knew that...
i got everything correct except for the last one T___T. the first inorin sample i really didnt have any idea. but the second one gave it away. same with kamiyan.
Nyahh! With the masks, I can't see the cute guys' faces anymore. I can still tell they are cute though. My favorite voice actor is Ryota Osaka, who plays two of my favorite characters, the Devil King Sadao Mao in Hataraku and the Demon Prince Staz in Bloodlad -- he has that quirky demon personality down. Also, he's versatile, playing totally different characters in Glasslip and Your Lie In April.
my guesses for the seiyuus A. I kinda thought it may be Inorin but not very certain. B. I immediately connected it with Petelgeuse but i failed to recall he's voiced by Matsuoka TsuguTsugu C. From the start, it sounded really like Emilia to me, hence pretty confident it's Takahashi Rie. D. totally clueless. E. I was guessing Ayaneru.. have no idea who's Emiri Kato.. oops
