There is a guy from my home town who has a truck that has like 55 inch tall tires and monster lift, and you know what he does.... he puts a gooseneck on his bumper pull. When he first bought it it was a 1.5 inch under the legal limit in Kansas, he barely clears the stoplights. Talk about more more money than brains lol

Absolutely right you cannot use a gooseneck now, and if you were towing anything really heavy you'll need that to spread more weight onto the steer tires. that truck can handle probably 3 of those trailers by law, not on a tongue though....Maybe anyway, depends what those tires and rims are rated for. Still a beautiful truck but it obviously isn't capable of what it was intended for, it will still pull some serious weight though. Im all for that clean look and still have it capable of what you need, its not like your hauling freight daily making an income from it, like i see many of these diesels doing

40" tires and stock gears not for towing for very long with much weight. Better for the mall parking lot. If you go with large tires you need gears. A lot more for off road use (not flat graded off road)

When the truck don't work it's not the truck, sometimes it's what's between the ears is the problem.

Hey rhino just saying with the chip you have if you put it on 2 which is the tow setting if I’m correct it has another engine brake in it so with the tow haul and the chip on 2 it will pretty much stop u when u tap the brakes

Ryan, in your steering wheel settings under your driver information center, there is an off-road page you can turn on that shows the grade you're pulling. Also shows what degree the steering wheel is turned, and whether you're in 2WD or 4WD. Also shows side-to-side tilt. Check it out sometime! You may owe Eddie a carwash on the right side of his trailer for that soot you laid on er'!

I'm from Alabama and we do use a gooseneck more than bumper pull trailers. Even with your truck being lifted like it is, you could still pull a gooseneck. It would be a little tighter than I'd like but its possible

To be clear semi's use bags-shocks-leafs to get the job done. The down side is that if the truck has no load on the rear it rides like a rattle can.

I was told the same thing...I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins. It has a 6” inch lift and 37” tires. Everyone said it would not tow our 28 Toy Hauler...not only does it tow it but it has tons of power and I still get between 9 to 12 mpg. Impressive power with that Duramax.

The only thing that a gooseneck would improve for you is ability to turn sharper before jackknife. Many will say gooseneck might be little better but with your set up it likely be same. Only upgrade I would check into for towing is lower gears. The truck obviously has plenty of power. And thats only if you were gonna tow alot.

If I had a show truck my ass would end up getting it muddy and then clean it once it does but I want to get something like a show truck but nothing nice as yours and lifted as high as yours
