It's time for a Pokemon Challenge! Pokemon Stadium is coming to Nintendo Switch Online aka nso expansion pack! Pokemon Stadium on Nintendo 64 was the first ever Pokemon game to show all of the Gameboy Pokemon in 3d. So it was our first time seeing these Pokemon in their full glory. Can you beat the Pokemon Stadium Cups using only rental Pokemon? Let's find out!
Pokemon Stadium even came with a transfer pak that you could connect to your nintendo 64 controller in order to transfer your own pokemon from your gameboy games to use in this game.
And believe me you'd need them if you wanted to have a chance at winning some of the battles in this game.
Because if for some reason you didn't have any pokemon to transfer over you were in for a lot of crap.
If you didn't have transfer pokemon your only option was to use rental pokemon, which were the default pokemon that came with the game. And most of them were terrible and had garbage movesets.
And because most of the rental pokemon were so bad, the game could be extremely unfair, one sided, and very irritating at times.
Your opponents can have higher level pokemon then you do, the lass will use that obnoxious wrap glitch attack which keeps you trapped forever because it was bugged, and they always seem to have rng on their side.
It always seemed like the odds were stacked against you in this game if you play with only rental pokemon. But thats what makes it challenging.
And as annoying as it may seem I kinda like it. So I decided to take on the challenge.
